Change the NLS_SORT setting

Hello

I need to sort Chinese characters in my database, without changing the NLS_LANG setting.
At first, I just changed the NLS_SORT setting for my session.

SQL > alter session set NLS_SORT = SCHINESE_STROKE_M;

After I questioned the table and made an order, I had a specific word order, which was different from the order I got when NLS_SORT = BINARY.
I have no way of knowing if the order is correct or not, that I do not understand the Chinese, but I assumed that it is correct.

Then, I changed the NLS_SORT for the system.

SQL > alter system set NLS_SORT = 'SCHINESE_STROKE_M' scope = spfile;
SQL > SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE;
SQL > STARTUP;

When I do one-
SQL > show parameter NLS_SORT; I get the following result-
VALUE OF TYPE NAME
------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
nls_sort string SCHINESE_STROKE_M

But when I ask the database with an order by clause, the data can't be in the order that I received when I had changed the session parameter. In fact, the order is the same when the NLS_SORT = BINARY.

I'm doing something wrong?
Help, please.

You can do this in two ways:

Set with an operating system environment variable
Windows: SET NLS_SORT = value
* nix: setenv NLS_SORT value
or run it after each connection (this can be placed on the logon trigger)

ALTER SESSION SET NLS_SORT = value;

With greetings
Krystian Zieja

    Hi Robin,

    What e-mail program you are using (name and version)? Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Outlook, a program that you access through your browser (and if yes, what name and version of the browser?) something else (and what version and/or year of this product)?

    What Version of Vista you are using (for example, 32-bit Vista Home Premium SP2 or other)?

    Thank you!

    P.S. I am pretty sure that the procedure is simple and can be done-, but it varies depending on whether you use, so I want to provide the information that is applicable to you.

    EDIT: Just a few alternatives which may help:

    If Windows Mail, go to Tools / Options / compose / font settings (ditto for fonts Signature if you use signatures) and change it to anything you want.  Save the changes and close Windows Mail, and then reopen it.  Your default sending policy should now be what you set with this configuration.

    How to get the password of the bios

    as I m having dc 5800 sff f10 bios password I forgot kindly help as I not able to change the bios setting

    Updated the BIOS will not clear the password.

    You can try pressing and the little button cmos clear yellow with the jumper removed password and see if that does anything.

    I think that the motherboard has a problem because removing the rider of P/O should have removed the password.

    Now turn you on the PC with the jumper removed, correct?

    You turn off the PC and unplug him.  You then remove the jumper P/W and then turn on the PC.

    That's when the P/W should be cleared.

    Then you shut down the computer, unplug and replace the rider of P/W.

    My color, setting for LR and PS is ProPhoto RGB. If I want to export my photos and place them on OneDrive or watch on TV of the photo, can I change the color setting in sRGB?

    In general, I would recommend sRGB, if images must be consulted on the screens of TV or PC monitors. sRGB is usually the universal profile for sharing photos on the web. If you want to share your images on a single disc, most of the people will see their best, without changes in color, with an sRGB profile.

    So it really depends on your goal. You use a player for sharing and viewing on backup and storage devices.

  • Changing the character set in the database 11G

    Running Windows 2008 Server 64-bit and Oracle 11 g (V 11.2.0.1.0). I would like to change my default character set when installing from 11 G to CS AL32UTF8.

    I read the utility Guide and Guide Support for globalization (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28298/ch11charsetmig.htm#g1011430), but none of these documents shows how you can effectively change everything / the character set of the migration. I would do this using the export and import utilities since this seems to be the most popular recommendation. But I'm really not sure of the procedure to follow to change the CS. For example, should I first export and then import then run the CSCHANGE script that is described in the globalization support Guide?

    I would be grateful any guidance on how to actually change the character set to AL32UTF8 and all documentation that explains not only the concepts, but the STEPS of HOW this can be done. Thank you, J

  • Can I change the DPI setting by device

    It's frustrating that there is a systemic configuration option for adjusting the speed of the mouse (DPI to the movement of the mouse). It is too fast for the slow or external mouse to the trackpad. Most of the users do not change the setting when switching from one to the other every day. Toshiba uses the Microsoft ie driver. no additional device control. Toshiba is missing a manual, the driver and the FAQ for their mouse. Support is limited to perhaps a phone number. No e-mail, no Web site feedback contact.
    The bellows of tags in this kind of forum is also very limited and not user-friendly. A tag which out of the following is the problem?

    Hello tim_chambers

    Settings of the mouse was always part of the operating system installed.

    If you need adjust your mouse settings, in windows 10, simply go to settings/DEVICES/Mouse & touchpad (use 'option of additional mouse', at the bottom of the page if you need or search advanced settings)
