change the rate of compression of files zipped / achieve smaller files

I'm trying to compress files for easier downloading, but the zip file is only compress the file by about 1 MB, is it possible to compress the file more?

N ° in general all utilities file compression give the same result, the compression ratio you get depends on compressible how files are. Photos and videos are often as tablet as they can get, and because programs are made mainly of random data which don't compress well, they compress much further.

This is not a duplicate, but it's largely the same question that a dynamic dimension to ASO stored passing Will do my Calc MDX results change?

This is because the size of compression must be dynamic, so if you select a dimension that is currently stored in the size of the compression, it will be converted to dynamic.

If you change the size of the compression of an already dynamic dimension, it has certainly no effect.

    Hello

in what format save you your file? If it's a jpg file, then the text is compressed and unfortunately PS is telling things as they are. Even if you could change the text before you save, after having been saved in jpg format, the text is merged and is no longer editable.

A good solution is to save the files as PSD files, photoshop files. In this case, all layers are saved uncompressed and so your text will appear in its own layer in photoshop. All you need to do in this case to change it is the result of a three-step procedure

    (1) select the right layer

    (2) take the text tool in the tools bar

    (3) mark and change your text

So the crucial question is: in what format you save your file?

As you say you know the command to use in the Terminal, and then with Automator, use the Action run the Shell Script after the name change.  The new file name will be passed to the Action run a Shell Script, and from there, you can use touch - r to set the time of the file at the time the name of the new file

  • Change the default copy and paste file or folder name to FileName (n)

    Hello

I'm not sue if there is a correction that relates to windows or office other programs.

I was wondering if there is an easy way, I could set up the default naming for files or the folders that I have copy and paste then. By example, if I copy a file called "Filename" and paste the copy in the same location, the name of the default copy is now given a name 'copy file name. Is it possible to change the default "FileName (n)" value, where n is 1 or 2 or... .depends on the question of whether or not a file with that number already exists.

    I use windows 7 and office 2010. I have a 'SuperCopier22beta' program that I think is the copy/paste?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello

There is not a way to change the default behavior of copy file name. There may be a 3rd party program, but common way is by design.

    Thanks and regards.

Your best bet would be looking for writers to mp3/wave. There are a few very good freeware/shareware sound there. I suggest this so that you can choose what format you want to save your file cropped as.

  • How can I change the term of my video file?

How can I change the term of my video file?  Windows DVD Maker is playing my video file listed as 26:18:32 only 26 hours instead of 26 minutes 18 seconds and 32 milliseconds.

    Hi MacChang,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community. It seems that you have a problem with the length of a video file playing on Windows DVD maker. This can be very frustrating for you, and I appreciate the efforts you have put in. Let us work together as a team to get this number fixed.

We start with a few questions-

    (1) is specific to a particular video file?

    (2) have you made changes on the computer?

I would like more information about the issue.

    Method 1-

I wish that you disconnect any external devices to the computer. In addition, I would have you close all programs running in the background.

    Method 2-

I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Placing the computer in a boot minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must perform the steps in the article-

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: You must follow the step 3 of the article to return the computer to a Normal startup after you perform all the troubleshooting steps.

How do I change the name of an audio file once it is in the session?

    Steve z

The only way that you can rename the audio file from within hearing is to do a save slot of the display of waveform AFAIAA. You can rename clips by clicking in the name box at the top of the Properties window, or by right-clicking on the clip and selecting rename from the drop menu (this will automatically open the Properties window if it is not already open).

  • Change the color of an Illustrator file directly in InDesign?

    Hello world

Excuse my bad English, I'm french.

Is it possible to your changes the color of a directly imported Illustrator file in InDesign?

In fact its possible to change the color of a bitmap file in InDesign photoshop, but I want to do the same thing with an Illustrator file.

    Thank you

If you have the color as a spot color - like 'Red Special' in Illustrator. Then in inDesign use the ink Manager to assign an alias - you can select another Spot color to use instead of that.

But if you have the color as "Pantone 485" and sure alias in the ink Manager - anywhere else you used "Pantone 485" will change in InDesign - images et al. using Pantone 485.

I recommend that you use the names of 'Special' in Illustrator - perhaps with your trigger guard.

I would use "ET_RED_" in order not to be confused with another logo and color or spot in the file or the color chart color.

You will need to do on a document by document basis.

  • RoboHelp is changing the case of my HTML files

    Hello

RoboHelp is changing the case of my HTML files. File is mixed the original case, but when the file is changed and saved then, RoboHelp changes the name to lowercase. We use X.5.0.2, HTML help, no control of source code and we are not generating (compiling) files. Apparently not an option to make the RoboHelp to stop doing this. If anyone has had this problem and know how to fix?

    Thank you

    -Phil

I tried the scenario 1 in the document that Phil sent me three files, UPPERCASE. HTM. MixedCase.htm and lowercase.htm.

In X 5, they are in fact all converted to lowercase. I haven't spotted that before because I tend to work with even when lowercase file names.

I repeated the test in RH6. While the dialog box telling you which was imported presents all the three files whose names in lowercase, Windows Explorer and the list of topics keeps the case. Looks like a bug that was fixed half! At least, you end up with what you want.

  • Compression of DICOM - How can I change the amount of compression?

    Hello

I create DICOM objects using the ord_dicom.createDicomImage procedure. I said my syntax of transfer ("0002,0010") in the metadata as '1.2.840.10008.1.2.4.50' (JPEG Baseline (process 1) - Lossy).

DICOM objects are generated successfully, but the problem is that the resulting objects of the DICOM are compressed so high that they are useless for my purposes. I know how to set how much compression is applied with an ORDIMAGE, but I can't find any way to do with DICOM objects.

How can I adjust how much compression is applied when you create a DICOM object?

    Thank you!

Published by: rcdev on June 18, 2009 10:48

    It would go like this

1 TIFF + metadata XML-online DICOM image file

You can use the method ord_dicom.createDicomImage (blob of the CBC, xmltype, dest blob metadata) to create the DICOM image to a BLOB.

2, then use the ORDDicom ORDDIcom(data blob) to create an ORDDicom object

    3. then use the processCopy ORDDicom method to change the properties of the image.

You can also change the properties of the image on the TIFF image provided (using methods ORDImage) then create DICOM image. If you are happy with the properties of the image, then you can ignore step 3.

  • change the incoming fax for .tif files

I'm faxes sent on my computer in .tiff format. The program I use to move faxes to records of patients needs to be in .tif format. Can I change this?

I guess since you asked here in a Thunderbird support forum for these faxes come to you by e-mail and you use Thunderbird.
Thunderbird offers just your mail. It has nothing to do with the naming of files.
There is no difference between a .tif and a file .tiff except for the number of characters in the file extension. You can rename the file yourself if your system will not accept the 4-digit extension.
You can always contact the sender and ask them to change the name before you send it.
