• Cannot use the timecode source in my project?

  I do not properly understand that Premiere Pro that you cannot use the timecode source in your project? I know that I can change the BEGINNING of t - c in a clip, but I need to read it off the camera (XDCAM EX3)? And if indeed I can't use source t/c - WHY NOT? My files audio syc'ed must be Sync manually!

  You can read the timecode source of your clips in several locations within Premiere Pro.

  If you load the clip from the source to the source monitor, don't you see the time code of the displayed item?

  Where you are waiting to see the timecode and don't see it?

• Change of timecode to exported markers

  The timecode to exported markers is allways Non-goutte-timecode. If I change the timecode in the monitor window, the time code of markers in the markers window is changed. But as soon as I export them, timecode changes in non-goutte-timecode, so I can't use the markers at all. Is there another method to get the exported only by framenumbers markers? Or what I need to change the metadata for the videofile or something? Export of the resources file-> export-> markers (to CSV / html).

  Thanks for trying this workflow and by highlighting the problem.

  I confirmed the Prelude behavior in case of export of markers. As observed by you, it changes the timecode to non drop-down type of frame after export as csv/html.

  I forwarded the issue within the team. We would probably try to solve.

• Is there a way to show 'the timecode source' IN OUT columns?

  I can view the source in / outputs in the composition, as below, but they are of composition in / outputs rather than the source of the timecode.

  Coming from a background of edit is often v.useful to see the timecode source here... is this possible? (I don't know I can double click on the layer and see it in the layer window)

  Also is there a way to record such a comp 'view' column and then switch between different "views"?

  

  These columns always report on the layer and are not switchable to the source. It would be a great feature request though: Adobe - feature request/Bug Report Form

  Did you see these icons in the lower left corner of the timeline panel? I use them all the time.

  I try CS6 coming from a background of Avid. (My problem with SC 6 is a)

  I edited a location minute 40 tire in a sequence, now I need to insert graphics into the sequence based on the timecode of the original source element.

  -I see the TC 'sequence' displayed, but I really need to see the TC source so that I can enter the number of the TB that I need to go to.

  I agree. We need the overlays TC source for Source and file monitors. Please make a feature request: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish

  In the meantime, you can use the timecode window. Choose window > timecode and select the video track in the Panel menu. This will show the Source TC in the sequence.

  By default, the enlargement options:

  1.1 => 110%
  1.2 => 120%
  1.33 => 133%
  1.5 => 150%
  1.7 => 170%
  2 => 200%
  2.4 => 240%
  3 => 300%
  

  The default mitigation measures are:

  .9 => 90%
  .8 => 80%
  .67 => 67%
  .5 => 50%
  .3 => 30%
  

  To add or change these steps, you can modify the list in Firefox about: config preferences editor. Here's how:

  (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

  (2) in the search box that appears above the list, type or paste the zoom and make a break while the list is filtered

  (3) double-click the preference toolkit.zoomManager.zoomValues and edit it as you wish. Since it's a little difficult to read, you can copy it to a word processor or another program where you can zoom text, modify it, and then copy the revised version.

  Note #1: After having OK'ing this change, it will come into force in any new windows that you open. Existing windows/tabs seem to remember the implementation at the time you opened the. (To move a tab into a new window, click on the tab on the tab bar > move to the new window.)

  #2 Note: If the preference becomes a mess, you can right click > reset to restore the default value.

  These could work and be sure to check with the manufacturer of the camera for other options.

  Use another program like the default binding for the types of files instead of the Windows Photo Gallery.
