Change Windows Vista for XP
I have a new computer and it came with Vista. It is not compatible with my printer. I've decided I prefer Windows XP. I have the XP disc. Is it a problem in loading XP. I know that I have to back up all the files that I have because when the XP loading it will write on my files. Advise is welcomed.
General information about replacing Vista with XP:
A. on a computer OEM (HP, Sony, etc.):
1. go to the OEM Web site and find the XP drivers for your specific model computer. If there is no XP drivers, you can not install XP. End of the story. If there are drivers, download them and store them on a CD - R or USB thumbdrive. you will need after installing XP.
2. check with the OEM - either since their technical support site, either as - to see if you will cancel your warranty if you do this. If void you your warranty, you make the decision.
3. If the OEM supports XP on the machine, call them and see if you can qualify to demotion and ask them to send you a XP restore disc. This is by far the easiest and best way to put XP on the machine.
4. if XP is supported on the machine but OEM does not have a disk to restore XP for you, understand that you will need to buy a copy of XP to your favorite online or brick/mortar store retail.
5. also understand that you will need to do a fresh install of XP, so if you have any data you want back first.
6. If none of the above applies to you because you can't run XP which return (see point 1 above), the computer of the machine and buy a running XP instead.
B. on a generic/home computer built (of the non - OEM company)-you will need the drivers for all your hardware. See the second link below for more details:

Instead, he waits until I am involved with work or in the middle of a game to close and delete my efforts. Although this behavior in deca waterboarding still could be considered by the CIA for inclusion in its arsonal. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Hi petersbcl,
Please provide us with the information below:
· Which edition and the version of windows you have installed on your computer?
· You can specify other parameters you have set for Windows update?
· You are the administrator of the computer?
Windows Update will remind you if you have to restart your PC to continue the installation of an update and you give the option to "reboot now" or will give you the option to postpone the restart. If you are away from your PC for a long period of time, you can see that it automatically restarts your PC. Windows does to make sure all the latest security and other updates are applied in a timely, to help keep your PC safer with little effort for you.
I suggest you to check the recommended settings for windows update.
