  Hello

  I tried to connect two different displays full HD to my Portege Z30 - A - 18 M and I was unable to set the native resolution - maximum resolution I can put for those is 1680 x 1050... I was not so surprised by the first that I had a few problems with a native resolution when I connect to the laptop computer Satellite I had before. But then the same thing happened when I tried the other view.

  I thought that this notebook can handle a higher resolution external... Is there a way to force the native resolution of the external display in Windows 7?

  I don't have this machine, but I think you should be able to see the desktop on an external device to the HD full 1920 x 1080 resolution.

  Hi, I'm using After Effects CS4 and recently, I used an apple cinema display for a specific job display but now I only have anumore monitor. When I try to start AE now it is stuck in the secondary display and I can't do anything. any help?

  Try to remove (or move temporarily) your after effects preferences file.

  In Windows, it'll be somewhere like this:

  C:\Documents and Settings\Votre user utilisateur\Application Data\Adobe\After Effects\9.0\ name Adobe After Effects 9.0 Prefs

  On OS X, it'll be somewhere like this:

• Cannot find the airport and cannot reset to factory settings

  I have a 2 TB Time Capsule airport who unfortunately through a handful of the network changes, somewhere along the lines, I pressed "forget the device" and now for the life of me, I can't connect to it.

  I'm unable to reset to factory settings, because I have about 1 GB of data and Time Machine backups on it.  Is it possible can recover and make it visible again so I can continue with my backups, without reset it completely?

• HP Envy 15t: the resolution on the external display support

  I want to put my HP Envy 15t to drive an external, not as an extension monitor, but rather as my first monitor.  My external monitor is a Viewsonic VX2250, a bit older and I use an HDMI adapter / VGA.  (The Viewsonic also has DVI inputs... not sure it would make a difference.)  On my current tour, I use the monitor in its recommended (or native mode) 1920 x 1080 definition.  I love this screen.

  The adapter is a Bytecc HM-VGA005 and specs seem to indicate that it can handle a variety of video resolutions - Full HD (1080 p), WUXGA (1920 x 1200 mode RB) and UXGA (1600 x 1200-mode VESA).

  15 t is currently shooting in the recommended 1366 x 768 resolution.  If I understand the straight plug, in HD mode it is 1366 x 768 and FHD mode is 1920 x 1080.   The graphics card is an Intel Graphics HD 4600.  Is this the reason why I can't get a HD resolution and not FHD resolution on the laptop?

  But whenever I plug all this together and try and change the settings for screen for laptop, the external screen resolution is only 1024 x 768... pretty ugly.  I have it so that the laptop screen is dark and only the external monitor is on.  But it doesn't seem to be any choice I can do to improve this resolution.  I checked that the graphics driver is up to date and it is.

  What should I do to get the best screen I can on the external monitor?  Would like to buy a new monitor HDMI inputs get better results?  Do I need a different adapter?

  Me again!  Well, it was a bit the nut behind the wheel.  I checked with the store that I've been buying my cables, adapters, etc.  He said to the Viewsonic monitor to see what might happen.  As I was put in place, he asked on the power adapter.  I got the USB cable but do not think it was necessary.  But after putting everything together in addition to feeding the HDMI adapter / VGA, I could see, I was getting the resolution I hoped.  Why it worked on the monitor Dell, no idea... maybe a better monitor or other VGA cable.  The Bytecc adpater didn't come with instructions, so I didn't.

  All right.  Hope this helps someone in the future.

  Try a SMC reset. Article covers when necessary, but this will not affect anything.

  Reset the SMC
