Changing from 32-bit Win 7 to 64 - bit Win 7. Do I need a 64-bit SCSI driver for my hard drive SCSI of WD32 00BEKT-00F3T for "clean installation?"

I am currently using Win 7 Home Premium 32-bit on my laptop.
I intend to switch to Win 7 64-bit and bought the full product and I am ready to install it. I hesitate only because a previous installation of Windows, I remember being trapped because I didn't have the appropriate manufacturer SCSI driver to install during the installation process of Windows (Vista?).
Win7 Home Premium 64-bit requires separate SCSI the manufacturer driver during installation (clean install!) or is automatically detected and installed with Win 7 64 bit?
For your info, my HARD drive is: hard drive Western Digital WD32 00BEKT-00F3T SCSI.
I see in the properties of the HARD drive under Win 7 32 bit driver running is a Microsft (Driver version 6.1.7600.16385) and so I'm hopeful that the switch, I intend require no road by the manufacturer, and that everything will be taken care by the installation of Win 7 64 bit.
Can you help me, please?

Yes, you will need a 64-bit driver, there need not be a native driver for Wndows 7 64-bit, you can also use a Windows Vista 64-bit driver if one is available.

    Hello!

I have the Satellite A300D-205, with a Windows 7 32-bit on it. I've upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows Vista 32-bit by an upgrade DVD from Toshiba

I need Windows 7 64 bit. I was searching the net on this subject and the only thing I knew, I should have the 64-bit version of Vista. But I bought my laptop with Windows Vista 32 bit and have only Windows Vista RECOVERY DVD and the DVD of Windows 7 upgrade.

Initially, I installed my Windows 7 with 32-bit but have since added more than memory and want to change to 64-bit.  How do I go about it?

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed. Releasing it's easy: with Windows | ActiveWin | Laptops | Microsoft MVP

Hold down the Windows key, then press Pause. Break. It will tell you

If it is a 64-bit processor, yes it can run 64-bit Windows. If it's a

I just bought a Satellite P750 (64 bit compatible) and did the quick start upward following the instructions that says I'll get a chance to say if I want 32 or 64-bit. Only, it didn't. Have you regions, time, etc. and then started upward. But in 32 mode. Can I uninstall the version of 32 ome and reinstall or change to 64-bit.

    Can anone help?

PS am new long-term tragic Windows 7 XP.

    Hello

Can you please tell us what P750 (P750-xxx) do you have exactly? I just want to check tender specifications on the Toshiba support page s.

I have older P500 and I got it with 64 bit only OS. So I don't know if the most recent model is offered with the OS 32 and 64 bits. For example, I saw on the page s Toshiba P750-100 comes with 64-bit only.

Can you please check again the version of Win7 is installed (Control Panel > system).
Somehow I doubt that you have a 32 bit OS.

  • CS 5. change from 32-bit to 64-bit?

I bought Photoshops a lot over the years, ubt now I am retitred and fixed income. In addition, I use Apobe CS 5 only 10 less annually.

Finally I scraped together enough to build a new machine and will this time with 64-bit. I really cannot afford to make the last CS and I was just wondering I bought the original CS 5... If there is a way for me to get the 64 bit version?

Win 7 comes with the 32 and 64 bit on it, but my DVD didn't say 32 or 64 (thought I know it's 32)

Anyone know if it is a 64-bit version available for download?

If so is it free for owners of 32 bits, if not, how much?

    Thank you.

CS5 comes in 32-bit and 64-bit, both of which must be installed on your PC if you are running Windows 7 x 64.

The 64-bit version would be under the program Adobe Photoshop CS5\Photoshop.exe

When you launch it, help > about Photoshop should indicate that it is the 64-bit version.

The 32-bit version is under Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Photoshop CS5\Photoshop.exe if you have plugins of 32 bits that cannot be updated, you must use this version.

    Hello

Usually, 32-bit divers are designed and created only for the 32 bit OS and usually they would not run on 64 bit OS. But who knows, maybe some unique drivers would be compatible with 64 bit but it is more than questionable.

    > Does the folder "Toshiba" in the directory C:\ for laptop computer contain all drivers and install files required or these all need to be downloaded from the Web site.
Generally all Toshiba drivers can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
Toshiba on C file can contain only the installed tools and software.
