Now, when I press the media direct button, my OS (vista) start to start direct media... As we know all that direct media have no need OS to start to play any media... So I think that I corrupted Media direct partition... But in Acronis Disk Director Suite I can find 2 GB of unallocated space that I used for direct media... Now I have to repair direct media... Please lemme know step by step procedure to install direct media... (I don't want to reintall the operating system or restore default.) I want to just fix direct media... I did all partitions on logical drive only, so drive C is active and rest are logical drive...

• I don't know how to access the online interface to change settings with WCG200

  With my old router I just typed something in the address bar of my browser to access the securtity settings, and I read with this WCG200 router I need to type my ip address in the address bar, but I still get nothing.   I've read several threats on the problem with HD Dell Media Direct partition, but I have not found a solution.

  What I've done so far: changed HDs, (backup and restore with Acronis True Image Enterprise Server 9.1).

  The new HD works, but the System (BIOS) does not like a 320 HD, he still thinks that the HD has the same size as the old one (80 GB less a couple of GB).

  If there is no way to upgrade to a Dell laptop, there is no reason to buy Dell!

  Audio problems in Windows Media Center

  update the following drivers: -.

  Audio driver

  Graphics card driver

  Driver card TV Tuner

  You may need to reset if necessary WMC.

  Run the Setup again.

  Open WMC > tasks > settings > General > installation Windows Media Center > rerun the installation

  Does that help?

  If the above does not help then try to reset WMC: -.

  Open Control Panel > uninstall a program > turn Windows features on or off > scroll multimedia features > uncheck the box against Windows Media Center > follow the instructions on the screen > Reboot > open again to turn Windows features on or off in the control panel > scroll multimedia features > check the box against Windows Media Center.

  Now reconfigure WMC again.

  You can also go for a System Restore-select any restore point when it did not have this problem.

I have a program of diagnosis with her and from what I see, I must get off channel 1 as there is too much interference, but before I go and change the settings of the router, I want the adapter to work - especially since it's about 100 Mbps slower than our other wireless adapters.   Hi Linda,.

  Have you tried to forget an instant wireless and bypass the router and cable connect directly to the modem to see if you get the speed you want in this way?  Yes, I know that this means to temporarily suspend the internet connection to the local network and also means the creation of a special no wireless connection for this computer.  But it could help determine if the problem is the computer and the router or wireless adapter - which excluding at least.

  If it works fine, then you can pass the wireless problem.  Otherwise, if it is still slow with a direct link, then you may need to consider another problem is involved and the router and adapter can actually be very well and you need to focus on all that is the bottleneck.

  I'm suggesting this to eliminate the possibilities that can be the underlying cause, while you spend your time on the development of bad (although I admit that I think that you are right and it is more likely - it can be useful a test just to be sure).

  I bought a new A300 a few days ago (A300-1MX). And the media buttons work only with windows media player (I have XP SP3 is told by the way). I installed the drivers for them, and under orders, there is only WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER available for media buttons. How can I change to itunes? Ive downloaded itunes and it still dusnt say I can go to itunes.

  You can only configure the first button that launches Itunes applications.

  Buttons such as play, pause and forward are not configurable in Toshiba tool.

  But I ve installed WinAmp and Winamp settings I could enable such button feature. But I put t know if iTunes supports these parameters too.

  Your MP3 player should have 2 settings - MSC that should allow the player to be used as a
  external drive and PSG that is the parameter to use to sync with WMP11. Remove the MP3
  and restart the computer. Change the MP3 in MTP mode - it power off and plug it in.

• Request a product key after 3 years. Product included with Dell original keys do not work.

  Over the past two days, Windows started asking me to validate my product code.  This, despite the fact that I had the same OS since May 2007.  I do not know what prompted the change, but I have two codes of product on the CD provided by Dell.  One is for the OS, the other is for Microsoft Office professional 2007.  The only other CD received with the system is Dell XPS drivers and resources.  No Microsoft Product Code is acceptable for this verification process.

  Which MAY have been prompted by installing a new motherboard - the previous Dell motherboard had to be replaced due to several bad capacitors.  However, not sure how this affects the o/s installed previously.  The computer works in a manner consistent with the change of the motherboard for about 2 weeks now.  The new motherboard is a 2.67 image system and RAM has been improved at the same time to 4 GB.   I thought I would include these changes even if they seem not related to the evolution of the o/s.

  No, in answer to your question - the new motherboard is not made by Dell.  Dell had a problem a few years with the defective capacitors - although there are a few motherboards of Dell stock, there is no interest to replace an original motherboard with bad capacitors, with a new Board of Directors with the same problems.  Dell has replaced bad motherboards a couple of years, but mine had not blown at the time, and I'm not "excluded".

  In addition, the replacement with Dell motherboard is $400 + US dollars for a dual core (and comes with the same potential problem of capacitor), while I was able to get a new card with a quad core locally for about $250.  Is not supposed for several points of view to do otherwise, I think.

  The system doesn't seem to work with a few minor quirks, what are the consequences of inaction?  I can't afford to raise more money on this problem, as I am a student full time and cannot afford to replace the operating system...

  Provided by the Dell original OS keycode will OPERATE ONLY with a card mother Dell. You can buy a new key code which, by chance, usually comes with the installation media.
   
  You may have saved money on the Exchange and got yourself a better computer, but still you have to pay $400 after buying a new operating system. Look on the bright side, for $400, you have a more powerful computer. Consider making Windows 7.
