Changing the once created package.ini

Hello

Bit of a noob question, but is it possible to change the file package.ini once the application is passed through the ThinApp process? Or the application needs to be re-ThinApped? Add some entry points to our ThinApped versions of the runtime Java and Adobe Reader, we have Internet Explorer installed locally on desktop computers and is not grateful Java Runtime or Adobe Reader. As Internet Explorer is local to the office, I assumed that ports of entry within these applications should be created for it, please let me know if this is not correct, problems with any Web site with applets Java etc. or wanting to the Adobe Reader plugin.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Kind regards

Ross

After you create an entry point for IE, you should have an iexplore.exe file in your file Thinapps containing the Acrobat Reader software.

If you start IE using this file (double click in Solution Explorer) iexplore.exe, it should start IE in the virtual bubble of Acrobat Reader a plugin should work. For the first test, close all other IE Windows open, maybe IE is smart enough to recognize that another instance is open and he uses this instance, instead of creating a new.

Also I tried to install IE as a ThinApp, I don't know how this can be done, but I have capture IE, and when I try to install it on view Admin he comes back as invalid state and will add to the list of the ThinApps. I captured it by just clicking the button of Internet Explorer and choosing "Include a point of entry for the system installed, IE", it is a valid way of ThinApp IE? or we would literally have to uninstall IE and then install again then capture that?

For EI in a virtual session running, your approach is valid, at least if you use Thinapps on a normal system. I have no knowledge on vmware View, so I can't say anything for your mistake. I used this approach on IE, and it worked on stand-alone computers.

But for your captured IE to see the Adobe Reader plugin that is contained in another package Thinapp, you must add the package.ini applink enter, so that the newly created only IE package see the contents of the package of Adobe Reader.

  • Laptop HP Pavillion 15-p051u: HP Recovery Manager should be able to change the computer creating media?

I'm doing the original backup set of DVDs for a laptop HP Pavillion (15-p051us) 15. Due to an error, I'm afraid to continue.
I got to speak with a HP tech person, who helped me to pass the second record to DVD. now, I'm trying to start the burning of the third DVD of backup recovery. When I click on the button to launch the "HP Media creation" I get interrupted with a window which shows:

    ***********************************************
    * User account control *.
    ***********************************************
    *                                                                                          *

    ***********************************************

I obviously don't want to change the program to backup for me when I'm not finished to make the backup. (As I've noted, two DVD's burned and verified. Four still needed.) But when I click on the button 'No' to say "don't edit my computer now until I finished the last four DVD" disappears from the user account control window and the creation of HP recovery media is not engaged. My first two questions are (1) why my computer wants to interrupt the creation of my 6 DVD recovery until the work is done? (2) it would be safe for me to click on the 'Yes' button or what may cause a fatal error in the backup process? In a note, I would like to report that the person HP with whom I spoke on the phone mentioned the fact that the error can be caused by lower DVD media. To counter this notice I tried three DVD good nine successive State. I used more than a dozen DVDs of this package on another computer. With these, he had no problem with registration, verification or later to read these DVD. If my guess is that it is unlikely three of them failing in the HP computer. I don't think that's the problem. I read through 60 first found elements that were identified when I did a search on the website of HP using the key phrase 'Recovery Manager change'. This has proved a total of 7499 possible Articles, but I looked through 60 without success.

Answer Yes to user account control. This is the irritating feature of Windows that assume at all times that you don't know what you're doing. HP Recovery is harmless and should have access to the files on hard drive.

For example, you could get the same question when you try to install the software for a printer, etc. and would answer Yes - you would answer no if a piece of malware slipped on your system and UAC taken he's trying to make changes and pointed out.

  • Cannot change the form created with Live Cycle

My former boss, who tragically died last year, created a form pdf through Live Cycle a few years ago. The form gives the ability of the user to add text at the bottom of this if they need. I would like to be able to modify this form, but it is not letting me. All change them, insert them, options etc. are grey. I did not Live Cycle, but I don't have Acrobat Standard. How can I remove the safety of this document so that I can change it?

It is not a question of security. You can only modify LC forms in the

    LiveCycle Designer application.

This app used to be bundled with Acrobat (Pro), but not more.

You have to buy separately now.

I have to use the keyboard to move the cursor to where I want to. Otherwise, I can only make changes via the Code.

It is very annoying and slows down terribly my workflow.

  • TOCStrings.ini - how to change the title?

    Hello

I try to change default captions in the Table of contents by changing the values in TOCStrings.ini.

I followed the instructions in the Blog of Adobe , and everything works fine. I can change SlideTitle, duration etc.

But I would like to change the title on top of OCD which means "Table of contents" as well.

How do TOCStrings.ini? Or y at - it another way to do this?

You set the title of the table of contents information rather than a value of TOCStrings.ini (project > summary > Info).  Everything that you put in the title will replace the text in the Table of contents.

  • Can you change the type of device to 'USB Raw resource' to GPIB controller?

I'm trying to configure a GPIB FL Contec GP - IB (USB) controller in MAX.  I could so he can register through the creation of a pilot of the Assistant driver VISA, but it fits as a "gross resource USB" rather than as a GPIB controller.  I can send and receive information from the controller, but it does give me an option to search for connected devices of GPIB communicate with them.  Is it possible to change the type of the device, maybe by manually changing the driver created by the wizard of the NI-VISA driver?  Thank you for your time.

N ° do not use MAX at all. You can just create a GPIB-USB controller on your own. You should contact the seller.

  • Change the framework of the APEX error

I was wondering if someone could help me out here.  I am facing a security problem where I need to hide all the error messages from APEX framework.  Specifically, I need to hide the error messages on the screen that you get when trying to access an application that doesn't exist (the whitescreen with the Red 'x').  This had been implemented in the past, however, the 4.2 update knocked out there.  To change that in 4.1.1 is just a matter of changing the APEX_040100.WWV_FLOW_ERROR package.

Anyone have any suggestions here?  Everything would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Shawn

I finally found how this can be done.  You need to change the APEX_040200 package. "" WWV_FLOW_PAGE ". Procedure: "RENDER_ERROR_PAGE."  If you never fix/upgrade APEX you will most likely have to remodify this package.  To anyony solution APEX 4.1, simply change the WWV_FLOW_ERROR belonged to APEX_040100 package.

    Thanks anyway!

I used my iMac as a hard drive backup to my macbook once. Now when I update to El Capitan he says that it cannot be updated due to being of a backup. How do I change the drive mode so I can update?

If you use your iMac as a backup to disk using Time Machine look for a folder called Backups.backupdb.

It's what keeps you upgraded your operating system, you must remove it.

Copy everything first if you are on a different drive. It would be wise to create a backup of the iMac on another drive also.

Check system preferences > Time Machine and make sure that the iMac is not selected as the Time Machine drive.

  • XP pro do not start after changing the Boot.ini file

The problem is that my C: partition Windows 7
    D: has XP Pro

These should be considered right resp. partitions 1 and 2?

I wanted to first XP pro to start the default partition.

A few days ago, I made a change to the boot.ini file. But since XP Pro was not starting at all.

I tried XP Pro to start first that the default partition.

Given that XP Pro and my D: drive have not been starting, I consulted the boot.ini file in C:, Windows 7 partition and I changed the order (i.e. partition No.) in the boot.ini file and saved it to the required location, i.e. D:/WINDOWS/pss.
through my drive C: of work, i.e. the partition of Windows 7, but it still does not work because apparently even though I save here, the actual values and the paths of the partition are not actually be changed on the system. I confirmed this by going into the CMD shell switching to D: and by running the command D: > bootcfg.
Apparently any values I save in the boot.ini file that I save as a text file or "All files" in D:/WINDOWS/pss/it does not actually change in the system because whenever I run the command bootfg values are remaining still and not able to be changed, because apparently it is not saved in XP Pro and the D : partition. No matter what I do and what I put in the boot.ini file to access the values through the windows 7 partition, the values that bootcfg returns me are always the same and he refuses to change the name of path or anything else. No matter what orders, I also put in bootcfg himself.

These are the values that bootcfg gives me:
    default: multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS

    Boot entries:
    Boot entry ID: 1
Friendly name of operating system: MS Windows XP Professional
    Path: multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS
The operating system load options: / noexecute = OPTIN/FASTDETECT/usepmtimer

My XP Pro partition is simply not booting, and it of my main partition and has all my work. It is imperative that it starts.

My Windows CD is also not start because apparently my DVD drive does not work properly, I had the anti malware threatfire (ThreatFire) installed on my XP D:Windows program disk but have uninstalled just in case it was blocking my changes to the system.

On C:Win7, I put the default operating system option in the Advanced tab for Win7 and the D:XP Pro to XP Pro, when he was the starter and work. Now I can only access my files D:XP Pro Player C:Win7. But XP is not just start. What shd - I do? Thks.

I don't have a very practical windows CD but my CD/DVD drive is not read and does not properly.

Looks like your original post stated that your cd/dvd does not work.

Respectfully, you will continue these hap hazard patches and your computer will not start at all. I'll try to help you once again. Please follow closely.

Start your computer by loading Windows 7. Click HERE and download EasyBCD. Install the software in trial version. Once installation is complete open EasyBCD. You will see an interface like the image below. Click Add a new entry.

A new screen appears as in the image below. Use the drop down menu to select Windows NT / 2 k/XP / 2 k 3 as described below. Type the name of the operating system in the box below. Of course, it will be Windows Xp (you can add the home or Pro to the name if you want). Make sure now that there is a check mark in the box "automatically detect the correct player. Once you have completed these steps click on 'add an entry '. That's all! You are finished. If all goes well, and if you have followed these steps carefully, there, now you have a system dual boot.

You can now start working on your cd/dvd problem.

  • How can I create a password protected folder? Also, how can I change the background in the files?

Well my question about his car, sometimes you have things in your computer that you don't want others to read or watch.
Once you put a password on a folder to prevent others to take a peek inside. No idea how to do it again?

Once when I had windows Millennium Edition, I managed to change the background image in the folder its self. so when you opened it, you could have your own custom folder. But now I must keep that boring white folder is still no way to do it?

As WinNT, Win2K, WinXP and Vista before him, NTFS in Windows 7
file security paradigm are dependent on, or allow, crude oil and
method heavy password for individual applications,
EAD, he uses the superior method to explicitly
Set file/folder permissions to individual users or groups.

As work around raw, you can place the file in a compressed
file and a password to unzip the folder to view/access its
content. In addition, some applications allow the user to protect by password
their specific data files. Read the help files for the specific application
For more information on this feature.

For your situation, simple action plan would be to
Create a user limited account for someone else who uses your computer,.
and set it up so it doesn't have permissions to access your personal data
    files.

    een this ability
with the use of the 3rd party applications. Certainly not Windows 7
    predecessors had this ability.
