  • Error message Microsoft Word "Word could not create the work file. Check the amount of disk space on your startup disk. »

    I have a MacBook Pro, retina 13inch OS X el Capitan Version 10.11.1 with 16 GB of memory. It's brand new and I have recently installed Microsoft Word/Powerpoint etc. a disc that I bought a few years to my previous MacBook. It seems to work very well, but whenever I want to open a word document a message comes up saying "Word could not create the work file. Check the amount of disk space on your startup disk '. However, once I click 'OK' this message disappears and my word file opens without a problem. I have 16 GB of memory on this laptop and it's new I have not reached anywhere near the maximum amount of storage so I'm puzzled as to what this message means. How can I avoid that this message popping up everytime I open Microsoft Word? Any help would be appreciated!

    This has nothing to do with memory - it's the SSD. Word tries to create a temporary file to use as a backup if the program crashes while you are working. First, run the Microsoft Update program to see if there are updates you have missed. Second, Microsoft currently supports only versions 2011 and 2016, so if yours is older, you should consider the upgrade. Thirdly, I suspect that the temporary file is not get created so that you have fewer cancellations (maybe any) and that if the program crashes you have to restore.

  • How to write the query option in expdp

    Hi Please someone help me how to write the query option in expdp... .in expdp using the query option...

    where AM columnname between 5 May 12 02:57:00.000' and ' 02:59:59.999 6 May 12: ';

    Please do what is necessary...

    Pavan Kumar says:
    QUERY = (columnname scott.test: "where between 5 May 12 02:57:00.000 h ' and ' 6 May 12 AM 02:59:59.999'")

    Who will fail in databases, because you assume nls_date_format. How it is difficult to put to_date() surround channels? Rather than play with quotation marks, using one parfile thusly.

    query=table_owner.table_1:"where business_date between to_date('20120505025700 am','yyyymmddhhmiss am') and to_date('20120505025959 am','yyyymmddhhmiss am')"
    query=table_owner.table_2:"where business_date between to_date('20120505025700 am','yyyymmddhhmiss am') and to_date('20120505025959 am','yyyymmddhhmiss am')"
    query=table_owner.table_3:"where business_date between to_date('20120505025700 am','yyyymmddhhmiss am') and to_date('20120505025959 am','yyyymmddhhmiss am')"

    You do not have to have all the clauses in a single line, as they are side by side parfile, which would be enough. For this reason parfile is better than the command line in order to avoid all the back-citing dance.

  • IMPDP | Possible using the query option

    HI PPL,

    I wanted to know if IMPDP is possible by using the query option, as I took full expdp dump of the mentioned table and want to import only select lines.

    Impdp arup/arup directory = demo_dir dumpfile = employees.dmp
    Query = employees:------"" where salary\ > 10000\ order of salary "tables used ="

    version: 10 gr 2
    platform: UNIX

    concerning

    Obviously, it will be slow if you are using the query option, because IMPDP must import only the data that meets the criteria; It of why we export only limited data (one or two tables as needed) and import them completely.

  • Export DataPump with the query option

    Hi all

    My environment is IBM AIX, Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 database.

    I need a few sets of records using a query in export production. Request is attached to several tables. Since we have the BLOB data type, we export using datapump.

    We have weaker environments, but have not the same set of data and tables, and therefore not able to simulate the same query in lower environment. But created a small table and faked the query.

    My order is

    expdp system / < pwd > @orcl tables = dump.dump1 query = dump.dump1:' ' where num < 3 ' ' directory = DATA_PUMP_DIR dumpfile = exp_dp.dmp logfile = exp_dp.log

    Query in the command pulls two records directly. By running the command above, I see the size 80KO dump file,
    In the export log file.

    I see Total estimation using BLOCKS method: 64 KB.
    export Dump.Dump1 = 4,921 KB 2 rows.

    My doubts are,
    (1) is the correct command that I am running.
    (2) estimate said 64 k, considering that it says also exported 4,921 KB. But the dump file created is 80KO. It is exported correctly?
    (3) given that I run with the use of the system, apart from 2 rows, export all data. We must send the dump file to the other Department. We should not export all of the data other than the query output.
    (4) in the order if I am not using "tables = dump.dump1), the export file big mess." Don't know which is the right.

    Your answers will be more useful.

    The short answer is 'YES', he did the right thing.

    The long answer is:

    Query in the command pulls two records directly. By running the command above, I see the size 80KO dump file,
    In the export log file.

    I see Total estimation using BLOCKS method: 64 KB.
    export Dump.Dump1 = 4,921 KB 2 rows.

    My doubts are,
    (1) is the correct command that I am running.

    Yes. As long as you query is correct. DataPump will export on the lines that match this query.

    (2) estimate said 64 k, considering that it says also exported 4,921 KB. But the dump file created is 80KO. It is exported correctly?

    Estimate is made using the full picture. Since you specify, he used the method of estimation of block. Basically, how many blocks have been attributed to this table. In your case, I guess it was 80KB.

    (3) given that I run with the use of the system, apart from 2 rows, export all data. We need to send the dump file to other > Department. We should not export all of the data other than the query output.

    I will export all the data, but going to export metadata. It exports the table definition, all indexes on it, all the statistics on tables or indexes, etc. This is why the dump file could be bigger. There is also a 'main' table that describes the export job who gets exproted. This is used by export and import to find what is in the dumpfile, and where in the dumpfile these things are. It is not user data. This table needs to be exported and will take place in the dumpfile.

    (4) in the order if I am not using "tables = dump.dump1), the export file big mess." Don't know which is the right.

    If you only want this table, then you order export is right. If you want to export more, then you need to change your export command. From what you say, it seems that you order is correct.

    If you do not want any expoirted metadata, you can add:

    content = data_only

    at the command line. This will only export the data and when the dumpfile is imported, it must have the table already created.

  • My JVM is able to check the accounting options?

    or does rely on the computer it self?

    Hello

    I wrote a program that needs to extract many options to organize 1024 values in a matrix of 32 * 32. He has no need of storage for more than that, but it is not through the process of verification of countless options. (This is for the purposes of Physics).

    I used a rather primitive version of Java, a version of the "Forte4Java" with JDK 1.2.2 tutorial gave me a course of SUN a few years back.

    Assuming that the program itself is valid (and there is this assumption) why it stuck? is this because I need another version of the JVM? or is it dependent on something from the computer? I might need a faster, more capable processor?

    any advice is most needed and so urgently.
    so I'll appreciate any help,
    Thank you

I DON'T know how these controls the program does, but I don't know how long it takes for the JAVA virtual machine (or is it the CPU? who done it?) to perform such a simple Boolean check.

    and that's what I ask: how long does take a JVM to test a Boolean control?
    and what it depends on? (the version of the JDK? the capabilities of the processor?)

    Once I know than I will be able to assess better.

    As you described the problem here and the other your current algorithm analysis is wrong.
    This has nothing to do with java, or any programming language.

    Your efforts at this stage should be
    1. find a new algorithm
    2. estimate the operation of the algorithm steps
    3. calculate the time
    4. If step 3 is excessive, then start again at 1.

    A distributed processing solution could help, but not with your current algorithm. But if you can get a few variations up to something like a month, then invade the treatment multiple boxes could help. If you have of course the boxes.

  • Links user to change the query option

    I know it's a simple thing to do...

    I have an example query:

    < name cfquery = 'day' datasource = "" >

    Select logday
    of tbl_log
    WHERE logday = "Tuesday".

    < / cfquery >

    I want to have a drop down menu where there is say a list of days, Monday > Sunday. When the user choices say Friday it then changes WHERE logday = 'Friday ';

    I can't work work how to get the link to work. Should I combine it with a cfset?

    Thank you

    James

    You train with the drop-down list of the day, you want to your select to look like the code below. Then on your action page, your where clause should resemble:
    WHERE logday = 'form.selectedDay. '

  • To cache the query?

    Here's what I'm trying to do:

    I have a database where I display information in a table - on every column, there is the possibility to order asc or desc. It works by using a switch statement to change the order. Now, recently I added filtering options, and it works very well, too using a cfif to change the WHERE clause in the query.

    My problem is that once the page reloads with the new filtered information, my asc, desc does not work with the filtered options - instead, it reloads the page captures ALL the records and then up or down. Should I be caching the query? Or y at - it another way to ASC and desc? Thanks for any help - let me know if I need to add more information.

    creelove,

    Which application are you trying to cache? There are several requests in the example code PDF and I know you mentioned that you have changed the code a little, but I'm guessing that queries are similarly structured in your conditional statements (suggestion on that below).

    If it's the cfquery named "qry_record" that you want to cache, which is going to be a problem. To cache a query (unless this has changed in CF 8, I have not checked), the query must be * exactly * the same thing.

    This query:

    Select * from table where itemA = "#itemA #

    Is this not the same (in terms of caching) as this query:

    Select * from table where itemB = "#itemB #

    Without the "corresponding" queries, caching does not work as expected.

    Another thing I noticed is that your (hidden field) is not using a dynamic value is always Yes. Don't know if that could lead to a question for you, but thought I'd call it (because you pass a key/value in the URL for 'filter').

    Given the code, variable were you trying to store in the scope of the session and how you were (it was not in the code example, unless I missed it!)?

    The application of qry_record:

    It's just a suggestion, and what you have is not bad, please disregard if you wish.

    You are repeated several times the qry_record in your code and you could do just a single shot (which a little easier for you to read and to debug the code). The application of qry_record in the respective conditional block, is the same in all cases, except for the place where clause:

    Select *.

    from the data. WF_Masterview2

    ^^ When x = y ^^

    order by = #orderby #.

    You can configure the part WHERE your query in the conditional block, and then type the query once at the end (a bit like what you're doing when you set the orderby variable):

    Col = 'itemA.

    Val = #itemA #.

    Col = 'itemB.

    Val = #itemB #.

    Col = 'itemC.

    Val = #itemC #.

    Col = 'itemA.

    Val = #itemA #.

    After this conditional block is running, you can run the query:

    select *

    from data.WF_Masterview2

    where #col# = '#val#'

    order by = #orderby#

    name=" "="">
