  I want a checkerboard flud 3 column with a list of nav in column 1 and articles in columns 2 and 3.  I built the nav list and tried to move the article to the right of column 1.  There is enough space to do so.  DW allows me to click on the arrow to move the item up one line, but it does not move upwards.  How can I fix it?  How can I create 2 columns of items to the right of the nav column?

  Yes.  It's my preferred workflow.  First build the layout.  Don't worry content until the complete layout is built.

  the other day, I created a checkerboard to fluid.  He published via FTP and it worked fine.   Today, I made some changes to the page and they look good on dreamweaver.   When I save and publish, none of the changes appear on the site.   Are there other files I need to record with grid of liquid to make it work?

  I think my problem was there are actually two files "new.html.   With a Capital of N with a small "n".

  I deleted both.  renamed little n.  Then re-released.   It works now.   Thanks for the help.   just enough of a sudden boost to help it along.

  When I build pages checkerboard to fluid I seem to reach a point where I can enter is no longer div boxes to the left or right to resize. Is it because you cannot change a fluid grid from a template?

  It probably has more to do with where you put your custom styles.

  The fluid grid css is extremely fragile. Small issues in this file can cause DW to stop recognizing nature GFL your page quite easily. It is recommended, if you are not, use a separate external stylesheet of the fluid grid css for all of your custom style to prevent break accidentally.

  Aside from that, it is difficult to help without seeing the code of the pages you use. Their download to a location to test on your server and share a link here are the best way to get accurate answers.

  Just to clarify this point a bit more for you:

  (1) for the class trained elements (that is, you spent a class name while inserting)-> DW Adds a class like 'hide_tablet', 'hide_mobile' and 'hide_desktop' for each of the respective provision.

  That is why by deleting just the same source code will make the visible element in the respective display.

  The problem will be the loading time.  I use a tool for css/js called Magic360 to display of large plates 3d products.  It requires 72 images, but works very well with the fluid grid.

  My understanding is the grid will load the images full size, but scaling to fit the screen.  Go from office to Tablet would be acceptable, but mobile would be much slower compared to a dedicated site.

  Another option would be to have the small images to load mobile within the grid of fluid, but I don't know if it's possible.  Thank you for any assistance.  I'm watching a ton of videos on lynda.com to learn the basics and progress.

  Put your large images in #slideshow - LG and smaller images in #slideshow - SM. use media queries to show/hide the divisions.   Use a separate external stylesheet for that.  You don't want to alter master key or FluidGrid.css files.

  You are actually a subscriber to creative cloud? If this isn't the case, you will need to wait for a perpetual license upgrade in order to see / use this feature.

I just downloaded the free trial at home for having extended the time to finish the half, but the trial is DW 2015. So of course things are different.   There are two ways to do in 2015 CC DW:

  1. Use the Visual Media Queries
  2. Use the menu on the window sizes.

  Visual Media Queries bar is at the top of the Document window. Click on the bar to resize the Document window to match the media query.

  I've created an animation on board animate and placed in the header of a checkerboard fluid to Dreamweaver. I put it in a div in itself so it can be disabled in the mobile layout. When I test the layout in a browser, the composition of edge animate changes adapted to the size of the window, but the height of the div that it's actually not. The width of the div changes with the width of the window, but the div height remains the same. Because the height of the div does not change, as the animation responds and resizes it leaves a big empty space between the bottom of the animation and the content that follows it in the page.

  The div itself doesn't have a rule for its height that are associated with. It seems to me that the div gets its height from the original size of the html object that is the animation. I tried to remove the rule of height of the object, but then the div at the bottom of the animation clips, and yet once, it is not resize the window.

  Is it possible that I can get the height of the div resize to the size of the animation as it changes?

  I use checkerboard to CS6 fluid to create a model of web repsonsive. The model works very well in chrome, safari, firefox and even ie9, but not IE 10. I'm not a coder, but I noticed conditional comments for IE most bar IE 10 in the new HTML document, I'm getting-my question would be something to do with it?

  Boilerplate.CSS contains a large number of CSS that don't recognize the validator of the W3C - namely seller-prefixes and support for older browsers IE.  Although technically not valid, they are nevertheless necessary for results good cross browser. Do not lose sleep over these errors.  Just ignore them and go.

  Could you please give any hint on how to solve the problem I encounter trying to build my first website?

  I found similar problems described in the Adobe community, but none of the solutions seem to solve my case.

  If this has actually already been processed, please point me to the correct article (I'm willing to learn rather than simply get the ready made trouble).

  Well, here's my problem:

  I need to create a web site that displays photos and text in three segments of the screen, three columns.

  I followed the tutorial at http://TV.Adobe.com/watch/learn-Dreamweaver-CS6/using-fluid-grid-layouts/ (very well done btw) and tried to repeat myself there.

  No way to do works for me :-(

  All the divs appear each on a new line when you open a browser, not aligned as I expected (tried them all: ie, firefox, chrome and safari on ipad).

  If I prevew multi-screen in Dreamweaver it seems quite the opposite.

  I'd appreciate really any suggestion or explanation why this is happening.

  Work within a defined Site Local folder?  Site > Manage Sites > new...  It is a 1st critical step so DW able to properly manage your project files.

  I aim 2 layers where the main image is, the current image being the top layer (which has a hole in it) and another image below (I'll include and cycle later).

  The small bag/bag in the lower part of the right hand is supposed to look as if it was turned on by showing through a game of cycling of colors.

  I studied 'Z-index and the CSS stack' and believe that z-index of the 2 layers in this case should be set to:

  I really spent a significant amount of time all variations of positioning and search positioning and z-index information.

  I don't know now how I can implement this so that it works and also without destroying the design according to the CSS?

  All you have to do is specify the gif as background for any container displays your image earthfade. By default, a background-image is repeated along the horizontal and vertical axes and is repeated in both directions. You can also position the BG image if you wish.

  I added a new Grid Layout fluid and when I try to add a DIV I get the message «Could not find Style of grid sheet Dreamweaver» fluid  I don't see the pink on my screen as shown in all bars of tutorials.  Can I use this option in CS6?  I followed the tutorial, but it doesn't seem to work.

  You must define at least one local site first before intervening in DW. Read the F1 help on how to do it.

  I built this site in a grid of fluid and found that if I resize the images manually, then they are vertically which runs on iPhone or iPad: www.oconnells.net.nz

  The only way I can work around the problem is to save the image to the exact size to go into space, but for various reasons, I prefer to save them at 640 px wide, that I then resize manually depending on the particular space.

  Is this something that can be avoided?
