  What is this error message that you receive? This would help a lot. From there, a person must be able to provide some additional troubleshooting steps.

  My kids already have Apple Id.

  I'll put up the family sharing and added them to the family using their Apple ID.

  If you are running Snow Leopard or Lion OS X, go to disk-> preferences utility. Uncheck "verify checksums. Then try to install Acrobat 11.
