  I've tried to filter all my photos in a collection that has a general portrait of the proportions, but LR is all wrong.

  

  As you can see, there is a mixture of landscapes and portraits even if the portrait is filtered.

  I tried to look at some of my other collections and see if it was an isolated issue, but think that I have the problem here and there.

  Even if the dimensions in the EXIF info on the right indicates 3456 x 2304, LR think that the image is square.

  Could I do something wrong here or could I help LR somewhere along the way, or is this a bug any? I use LR 3.3 on a Mac with Mac OS 10.5.8

  Not really, no.  It could be an accident too - someone ' one with a user name very similar to yours that's typo in their username, may not know why they are unable to open a session, requested a password reset, thinking they forgot what it.

• A40: problems, I think that with a hard drive

  Hello! Bit of background - had a laptop Toshiba SA40 ISI during a little less of 2 years, and there have been some major problem with it in these last days (until then it had been beautiful and functional with brio).

  He started working yesterday incredibly slowly, took forever to load, kept on crashing etc. After the restart for the 5th time, it would have just send me to the "Windows didn't load correctly screen ' and ask me to select an option, and whatever that I did sent me to the toshiba load screen, Windows does not at all.

  So I had use the product recovery disks and reformat the hard disk. For half a day, the laptop was working once again excellent, no problem. Then this morning, out of nowhere, it completely crashed again. I rebooted, and again the same problems appear. But now I can't used the product to reformat recovery disks. A few times he reformatted then the screen became all black. The error messages became more in worst - now, when I'm trying to recover, comes up with an error message:

  GDISK (e) cannot write to sector 0 of the fixed disk 1 - the IDE controller error

  F0ollowed by a little more information, I have not a chance to note that the screen then recovering flashed, then the screen says:

  Then a screen that says:

  If the warranty is valid, then all replacements will be done free of charge. If you are not 100% sure so call the Toshiba service in your country. Please note; If you open the notebook (remove covers) by yourself if you will lose the warranty.

  Run the attached .vi and please, anyone, any who, show me a way to not have to re - write down everything I did. I tried to get everything ready to compile and needed a way to close the .vi, after he was arrested, so I added a sequence structure and put most of the .vi in the first image, and in the second, getting a property node that close the front panel.

  Nevermind, I'm sure that you have all found a way around it until I did it.

  Without the Subvi I call to do some calculations of air flow it crashes on run. I just moved the Subvi, fixed the error when stalled, and everything is good in my world.

  Could work sucks Saturday, Saturday work and realize all for not, it really sucks.

• CHKDSK problems

  I have a desktop Dell w / Windows XP as operating system.  I started the chkdsk process and it keeps stuck on step 4 of 5 (verification of the data of the file) to 22%.  What can I do?

  It looks like your hard drive might be about to die, so the first thing I would do would be to back up data, you don't want to lose.  I would like to run chkdsk with the option to analyze and attempt to repair bad sectors, if you have not already.  Keep in mind that this might work for some time (sometimes several hours depending on the size of the hard drive).   If chkdsk does not work, you can try to download diagnostics disk hard of the likes of Seagate and Western Digital.

  Replacing a hard drive in a desktop computer is not that difficult to do if you have the tools and skills.  I did it several times.  In short, you get a good backup/restore program (I use Norton Ghost, but there are many others out there) to make an image of your hard disk drive to a backup disk, remove the covers, disconnect the two wires connected to the hard drive, unscrew the 2 to 4 screws and remove the old drive.  Then reverse the process.  Hard drives are not that expensive, 500 GB those go for 80 to 90 $ $ these days.

  Hello, I may be in the wrong place, so you can direct me to where I can ask my question.

  Just got back from vacation 2 weeks and my wife discovered she began to receive some kind of message "error." I discovered that whenever the computer is turned on, it now tells me to run the chkdsk utility. As usual, it takes several minutes to perform his task. Nothing wrong is indicated, then it starts normally. Next time that the computer is turned on, same cycle. It's never happened before. Last night, I ran across 6 startups with the same results.

  The system is Win7. Computer was built with all new interiors in Dec of 2013.

  I'm reading through some of the posts here but I'm a bit confused on what to do or how. Is there something wrong that might have recently caused it to start? (I ask this question because my wife has used to be around computers and electronics, when things start to get weird)

  Any help would be welcome.

  I've been playing with some of the initial proposals offered to try to circumvent this problem without success.

  I found out from the following: I can't do a "System Restore" that I get some response suggesting a 'corrupt C drive '.

  And, while I was out of town, a parent of a young visitor has apparently downloaded a game program without my knowledge.

  I tried to do a safe Boot and get to the window displaying the downloaded windows files. At the bottom of the screen, it tells me to "Please wait:.» After about 6-7 minutes, the machine restarts by itself and seems to start successfully to the blue welcome page. However, after closing everything down and restart again once, I still get the chkdsk 'needs to run... '. "once again. I don't play this step correctly?

  I noticed just a few posts here regarding the possible comments "hard drive is running out." Any relationship or similarity with what I can see from the "System Restore" also noted a possible C drive problem?

  The C drive is a WD 2 GB device installed new in Oct of 2013, so I'm surprised if it's bad already... but these things happen.  Help!

  Correct intuition of zig - zag that the hard drive has failed. Your drive is a failure, can be fixed by you and must be replaced.

  Burnin test, and their test bench at the same time give a good workout from all the major parts of Windows.

• Disabling problem - I think

  I had Photoshop CS4 running on a computer since 2008. Now this computer broke down if bad it starts not at all and it is so old it's not worth to have it fixed. So I can't disable the CS4 on this computer. I downloaded CS4 from the 'My orders' page on my account and install it on the new computer, but it does not accept the serial number and will not activate the new computer CS4on - probably because it has not been disabled on the old computer. I was on the line in a chat of Adobe service for more than an hour and lived two departments, but they finally say they argued not only older versions of program and linked me to this forum. Although I have explained the problem five times, entered my personal information three times and four times for CS4 serial number, I never felt they understood what the problem was. Can anyone here help?

  Problem solved. My CS4 was an update for CS3 and it dawned on me that I might have to install on the new computer before installation of CS4. Who did the tour - conform to what they were saying at Adobe I had a 'slot activation"on the left. Now why did not they come to that when we chatted - they had all my data.

  Anyway, thanks to you who tried to help me.

  I had to buy a new computer as my last one had problems. I backed up what I think is all of my files on an external hard drive and moved them to the new computer but Thunderbird does not open. So I re downloaded Thunderbird and followed the tutorial on copying and pasting the old profile in the profile folder and now Thunderbrid (I think) will not open.

  Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.
  

  So I put everything in the trash and re downloaded the program, and I still get the same error (I however wouldn't be the case that I was starting from scratch).

  Since it is a machine relatively new, instead of hurt for hours to fix yourself, why not just let HP fix it - for free!
  
  You must contact the HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.
  
  I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.
