• I lost FireFTP. It is in Tools/Web Developer, but he disappeared. I tried to download it again, and I am told that it is installed. I also downloaded the FireFTP button which appears as a small tab, which opens a new tab of FireFTP, but nothing happens!

  I like that in CP5, Adobe has allowed users to change the icon associated with opening and closing of a Table of contents in layers.  Having said that, unfortunately, they show if small, I don't see what I created.  So, I was wondering, is there an advanced action or an action script that I could assign to a button that will allow my users open/close the table of contents?

• Table of contents no opening

  My programmer called a merged WebHelp of Oracle forms project. At the opening of the WebHelp the table of contents is displayed but don't expand to show the current page. I use the published/startpage.html#mergedProject/child_1/overview/overview.html format to call a particular section of webhelp. I tried to generate the local PC instead of Web (thanks RoboWizard) and I added the lines of code proposed in Section 8 of WebHelp merged Peter Grainge excellent site.

  Are clear you your browser cache before you post a new package of WebHelp? I myself started upward in this way, without realizing that I was watching the old files instead of later. You would think the the browser setting to 'always compare page with cache' takes care of this, but I am wary. So when I'm troubleshooting I clear the cache before generating a new package of WebHelp.

  How the homepage become instead of .htm .html?

  If you have done this manually, after you generate WebHelp, it was a mistake.

  Multiple WebHelp files reference the home page, and sometimes html is not the same thing as htm (I think they should be interchangeable, but they are not).

• Click to open topics in the Index and the 'Search' tab

  I have the setting "Single click to open books" archived on parameters HTML Adv.  It works very well.  Wooo hoo!  My QA people are so happy with this feature they want the feature click to open topics in the index and search tabs.  I can't find anywhere to enable this.  Am I missing a setting?  Is it possible to 'hack' it?

  I have 10 RoboHelp and exit at Microsoft_HTML_Help.

  Sorry, but this is a limitation of CHM. Unfortunately I don't remember if it came with version 10, but if if you could use the WebHelp for the CHM converter script to package inside a CHM WebHelp output. If you do, then you would have what you want where a simple click would open things.

  Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

  Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

  Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

  You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.

  4. Double-click on browser.newtab.url and enter https://www.google.com in the window that opens.

• How can I return search box in a new tab? When I open a new tab, it is only to show the address bar.

  When I click on + to open a new tab, this tab shows only the address bar, no search box! This problem is created suddenly.   I wouldn't try a reinstall immediately. An ordinary reinstall often not made the changes that it would bring.

  user.js file will be a small file in your profile and contained text. If copy you and rename user . txt or user.js.txt it will be readable by any word processor, even if Notepad can open it is.

  • Subject: white - it's a plain blankpage, no bar to search it.

  • topic: home - a search bar and some settings icons etc

  You can try one of these out by typing in the address bar Subject: House or whatever, (or try on: subject).

  It is has two troubleshooting steps simple which will help, but you don't seem to have tried yet.

  Is a small problem for me, because when I want the cursor at the beginning in the adressbar. So, if for example, I opened a new page, I type in imdb.com I receive directly on imdb.

  If you only want the new tabs do not have home page, you can change it by going in your Subject: config page and replacing "browser.newtab.url" Subject: vacuum. For me at least, if I open a new tab on a white page, the cursor remains the address bar.

  Note that you can continue to do research on the awesome bar and search bar where you want to do a Google search.

  WELL. My wonderful girlfriend showed me how to solve this problem since I couldn't find a solution during troubleshooting of Firefox. BASICALLY. I restarted firefox. And voila it's fixed.

  Looks like you have set browser.newtab.url to Subject: House which opens the default home page in each new tab. The simplest thing to do is to reset this preference so that instead of the new tab page:

  1. Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER.
  2. To ignore the warning, press the big button "I'll be careful, I promise!
  3. In the search box, paste browser.newtab.url
  4. In the search results, click browser.newtab.url , and then choose reset.

  Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

  Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
