Windows has installed a user account IMPORTUNATE on my computer

Windows downloaded the updates and install them. When I rebooted the computer off for a day or if a NEW user account, with a photo, appeared on the monitor which made me choose which account to click on in order to open the computer. The name of the new user account is: mscKaamar. I don't have not set up a user account since I was the only person who uses this computer. Something installed this account on my computer without my permission. There are 2 icons on the log on screen down to the left and right corners. The lower left, when I place the mouse on it, she opens a box that gives me several options to choose from that will do different things and the only one I remember is the first that audibly reads the choice for me to choose. The first is, of course, for the system I READ what is on the screen. I chose any of them and closed the window. I don't know what that the lower right button since I didn't click on it. Also, I found when performing a search for her and deleted / removed from each place I found. BUT he keeps his return and resettlement itself, even if I removed by "Withdrawal" of the account with the Control Panel, as well as removing the Program Files, etc etc. It cannot be "uninstalled" from the Control Panel programs because it is not installed as would your typical program.

Anyone know what this thing is, how it got on my computer and most importantly, HOW to GET THE DARN permanently THING OFF! All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I do not understand that you cannot remove the user account that is not created by you and I'll be happy to answer your query. According to the description of the problem, it seems that your computer can be affected by malware. Let me ask you a few questions;

  • You have the installation media for Windows 7?
  • What security software is installed on the computer?
  • You are connected to the computer with administrator rights?
  • You receive an error message when you try to delete?

There could be several other reasons according to the questionnaire. We can try the following methods and check.

Method 1: Start the computer Safe Mode and check if you are able to remove the unknown user.

Safe mode is an option of troubleshooting for Windows that starts your computer in a limited State. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started. The words Safe Mode appear in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you are using.

Please refer to: , start your computer in safe mode

Method 2: Remove unknown user account in safe mode

Note: Make sure that you have all the data available in the libraries of unknown user account

a. press the Windows key + R, and type control userpasswords2 click OK

b. Select the unknown user account, and then click the delete tab

c. click OK and restart the computer

Same steps can be used in Normal mode.

Method 3: Perform a full scan of malware from your PC

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

Microsoft safety scanner

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Method 4: Run the System File Checker tool

System File Checker is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.

To do this, click Start, type command or cmd prompt in the Search box, right click invite, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

sfc/scannow

Note: Do not close the command prompt window until the audit is completed 100%. The results of the analysis will be posted when this process is complete.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

    Hello!

For the life of me I can't figure out how to get my machine to boot successfully. Nothing changes when I choose Safe Mode, last known good Configuration, enable VGA Mode, booting, Directory Services Restore Mode or Debug Mode logging.

It's very stressful, because I'm right smack dab in the Middle a semester at the College. I have most of what I currently need access to supported illuminates... but not quite all :( It is also very reassuring to be able to take care of the school of work away from the library of the University. Yesterday, my computer was working fine... I think that Windows has completed an update, if I can't remember now. As I woke up this morning, I was not able to boot all the way to Windows only once.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6000 running XP Media Center, and I have not installed new hardware since I bought the machine about 3 years ago.

Here are more details, where they can help in the diagnosis of my problem:

    • ID of the system board: 30BB
    • Type of processor: Genuine Intel(r) CPU T2250
    • Processor speed: 1730 MHz
    • Total memory: 1024 MB

Here's the entire message to the blue screen:

A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Make sure you have enough disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video cards.

Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

I also learned to a blue screen that says something about "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA". I think that this happens when I try to start safe mode.

Also, I never did much with computer problems beyond what could be repaired with the restoration of the system... so not being is not able to boot at all me has to stop. Please, I beg you! Help me?!

With great appreciation for your time,.

  • Firefox forces me to use an administrator account to download on windows, I have two user accounts two called admin?

I tried to download firefox on a pc with windows vista, fiefox configure wants me to go to an administrator account. There are two users on the windows machine means, both as directors, but at the same time discourage making a staff. Firefox invites me to an administrator and a password, I tried to add a password for my user account, but it has not been accepted, if I try the alternative to use "current user" it is unresponsive and disappears from the download area. This is getting ridiculous. Help, please.

I'm assuming that you download the installer of Firefox http://www.getfirefox.com/ with Internet Explorer. Something to try:

You must choose the registration option (do not use the run option). Once the download is complete, open the download folder for your Windows account, then right-click on the Firefox setup.exe inside the file and choose run as administrator.

  • Windows XP Administrative lockout user account

I have a windows XP and we have a total of four accounts of users one of our children set up the administrator user account and I forgot the password now we are locked out of all the administrative capabilities and microsoft applications of Word Please help as soon as possible, we are needing to use these programs.

I'm not sure what running MS Word has to do with what you wrote (the word should open fine in a limited user account), but here's how to fix your password.

If you have forgotten your password, if you have another user who has administrative privileges account you can log in to that account and change the password of your account of origin of the user accounts applet in Control Panel. If you do not have another account like this set upwards or that you do not have the password which you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.

In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.

If you reset the password of the account administrator integrated into house or have Pro and don't remember the password, use NTpasswd to change the password of the built-in to a white administrator account. Download the bootable CD .iso image file, burn with third-party burning software such as the free ImgBurn, Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Start with the media that you have created. You need to maybe change the boot order in the BIOS or obtain a menu of boot command temporary with the pressure of a special key. NTpasswd will run. Follow the instructions carefully.

Then, go to the user accounts applet in Control Panel and set passwords that you remember and other changes. WRITE THE PASSWORDS DOWN AND PUT THEM SOMEWHERE YOU WON'T LOSE THEM. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Create an extremely limited in Windows XP Home Edition user account

I'm editing a user account on my virtual machine running Windows XP Edition family, such that a user can only view their Documents and Settings folder and NOT the windows, Program Files, and all other important files to the computer. When I tried to just go right click > properties > check hidden (on the Windows folder), I found myself not being able to reconnect to all accounts and having to do a re - install. How can I change the XP Home Edition settings to prevent the display of records outside the Documents and Settings?

The overall goal of what I'm trying to accomplish here is to emulate a school or workplace environment where the user is very limited with what they can do (even more limited than the guest account).

Any help with this, including 3rd useful third-party tools, or how to do it without third-party tools would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I suggest that you follow these steps and check if that's what you want to achieve.

    Encrypt files.

    a. Select the folder you want to encrypt.
    b. right-click on the folder, and then click Properties.
    c. click on the sharing tab.
    d. check the box make this confidential folder
    e. click on apply and then OK.

Make sure this private folder is grayed out

To make this option work on Microsoft Windows XP home, you must meet the requirements.

    1. the hard drive must be formatted in NTFS and not the FAT32 file system.
    2. the folder you are trying to encrypt must be in your personal folder. For example, if your name is bob, you be encrypt a folder which is or which is contained in the sub folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Bob\

You can't encrypt all files outside of this folder. If you want to encrypt outside of this folder, see the bottom of the other security solutions.

  • XP has changed the user accounts is now impossible to access the administrator account

Something has gone wrong when changing my user accounts. I don't have an administrator account can create a. I can't even restore my system. It doesn't let me do anything! What to do Help!

You use the built-in account named "Administrator"?  If so, the behavior you describe is "a feature, not a bug."

Windows XP hidden administrator account when a user account is created (because it's a good idea not to use administrator systematically; it should be saved for emergencies).

You access the administrator account integrated differently depending on whether you have XP Home or XP Pro.

    For XP Home:

You must restart in Mode without failure.  Restart the computer and start typing the F8 key as soon as the initial startup process is finished.  If you see the Windows logo, you waited too long and you have to restart again.   If you do it right, you will see the white Advance Boot Options menu on black (image).  Use the up/down arrows and the Enter key to select Mode safe because your mouse does not work on this screen.  Once the computer starts in Mode safe mode, the administrator account will appear on the Welcome screen.  If you have not changed the password, the password is blank (no password).

    For XP Pro:

Follow the signs for XP Home Edition, or in the Welcome screen, with no logged-in user, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice.  The 'classic' logon box will appear.  Type "Administrator" (without the quotes).  Once again, the default password is empty.

Once you enter the administrator account, create an account with "computer administrator" privileges for occasions when you need (for example, to run the system restore or create accounts).  You can use any name you want (other than Administrator), such as MyAdmin.

  • NO STARTUP OFFICE OR WINDOWS ON ONE OF THE 2 USER ACCOUNTS ON THE SAME COMPUTER

My computer starts normal and the screen returns to choose a user account (we have only 2 users). If you click on a user that everything works, great and all programs operate normal. If you choose the other account, he goes to a clear blue screen with only a cursor instead of run my normal desktop. No start menu, the desktop icons,... nothing, but blue! If I start it in safe mode, I see everything that needs to be on my desk under normal features so I don't know the files and desktop settings are still there but am obviously limited in safe mode for what you can do. I had some freezing issues and thought I might have disabled application in the Manager of tasks that I wouldn't by chance, but not sure. I tried a system restore to get the settings from a week ago, but nothing has changed... just a blue screen. Is there a file I can enter to run which could remedy?

There is no program in the task manager that would do what you feel - nothing that you turned off or that it would result.  If it had been reset to start in safe mode, instead of the normal mode, he would do this (not go to the blue screen).  It could be a more general problem, but I tend to rule that out at the moment (although we have to return) because one of the accounts works very well.

  • Media Center-no sound Windows 8 on a user account

When starting in WMC, I do not have the original agreement.

I don't hear any clicks or sound when scrolling or by selecting in the main menu of WMC.

WMC has no sound when the TV tuner is selected.

When you run the installer, I do not have the speaker test.

However, when the music titles are selected in WMC, you can hear perfectly. The music also works very well when selected in Windows 8 subway music tile.

This computer has 3 accounts.  For 2 of the 3 accounts, WMC works perfectly. A single account (admin), I have the above problems. The system worked very well for many months, until recently.

I tried to update the sound card drivers. I also uninstalled them. No luck.

I compared the pilots and the structure (in Device Manager) for the account of work and the non-working account.  They look the same.

    Hello

From your description, I understand that the sound does not work in a user account.

    Hi Tom,

Create a new profile on the computer and check if the problem persists. If this is not the case, the other profile is corrupt. To create a new user profile, you can see the article mentioned below for the procedure.

  • Windows 7 - Clone user account on the same computer

In Windows 7, I have a single account to user configured with all the settings I want it - essentially a default account.

I tried to just create a new account based on this account, but the "Copy To" button is grayed out on everything except the "default" account.  (I did the settings for the default account, but I didn't know how to connect to it).

I don't know if this is a defect, or in Microsoft for this.

Is there a way to make this account the value by default so that I can use it to clone other accounts on the same computer?

Is there an easy way to do this?

I found a way to clone the account.

Logon as the administrator, you can create a new account with the name that you want for it (for example "new user"), and then restart.

Connecting under the administrator again, copy the files to the account you want to clone, to the new account.  (it takes a lot of time), when it finished, and then re - start.

The new account will be a duplicate of the source account.

Please note, that since it is a duplicate, of the default file locations will be for the account of the source, so you'll have to go through and change them manually.

It is not an elegant solution, but it is easier than creating the account to start from scratch and do all the settings.

It would be nice if there was a way to personalize the account 'by default'.

If you listen to Microsoft, please consider this for the future.
