  I have a very old Samsung SC-D6550 mini-DV camera and I am trying to import the records on my computer.

  I had problems with recognition of driver. I tried and installed the only driver downloads currently available on the Samsung site for this unit (http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SC-D6550) and I even bought a driver download program thinking they had a different driver, more up-to-date, but that didn't work either. Also, I have "install the driver using compatibility settings" and it still has not recognized. The camcorder is considered as an audio device, and ' type: other devices "and the drivers are not recognized as installed (code 28), although they are, even after the choice of the location of folder with him.

  There is no way to change the operating system temporarily.

  To work around the problem, you can follow these steps:

  a. connect the camera to a computer running under Windows XP/Vista.

  b. transfer the recordings from the camera to the computer.

  c. copy these files/tapes of the Windows XP/Vista computer on a USB drive (for example: Pen drives or external hard drive).

  d. connect and transfer cassettes to the USB on the computer of Windows 8.

  I want to archive my mini-DV camcorder tapes by capturing their video with first Elements 3.0 (I have a newer version, but don't have 3.0 on my XP machine having a port firewire i / f).

  I managed to capture a single band and I see a series of AVI files (as expected).  I have two questions:

  Is it possible / preferable to capture video in dv format only (with no recognition of the jumps of timestamp and no wrappers)?

  Y at - it any loss in .avi compared to tape files (i.e. different codec is / are there other options)?

  I don't remember not the E3. but there may be a setting that says you can deactivate scene detection.

  If its better depends on your workflow. I would not only a single file. Lost work to cut out the bad pieces.

  None of the wrappers? AVI is a container of wrapper / there is no other choice.

  Band to computer transfer is alone. No loss. AVI is the best solution.

• Cannot save the entry camcorder 8 mm on iMovie 10.1.2

  I'm trying to import the old videos from the camcorder into iMovie.

  Videos are played on TR33 Sony video 8 mm Handycam (analog) through a Sony TRV 22 Hi portable (digital) 8. This provides the necessary a/d conversion.

  See the video and audio correctly in the window of the events at the time of import. However when I stop importing nothing is saved.

  As a side note, if I import the single (digital) trv22 video, it seems to work as it breaks the clamps in individual events based on time.

  The literature seems to say a widow pop up asking where to store the video should appear when importing. However I don't see that.

  This problem appeared in the discussions here and in FCPX. The cause of the lack of registration is due to the lack of timecode that iMovie requires. In switch mode there is no timecode of the TRV 22. The solution is to record the video to Handicap the TRV 22 and then import in iMovie.

  If you are wanting to link to a drop in a cell of a table and make it appear on the table that you have linked to, the answer is Yes. I suspect it is a bit different from what you are wanting to do. Can send you screenshots of both tables?

  I run a Mac Pro with El Capitan. iMovie 11 will not recognize my camcorder Sony FDR-AX45P 4 K. He keeps asking connect a camera.

  iMovie 11 (version 9) supported cameras include not all models Sony FDR.  iMovie 10 supports a number of FDR-AXxx models however does not list your a see particular: iMovie support cameras - Apple Support

  There are a number of problems of running iMovie 11 under El Capitan, particularly with still pictures appears.  (It does not supports video 4K).  I recommend try iMovie 10.1.2 which you should be able to get in for free or may already have in your applications folder.  Although your camera model in particular is still not listed, I would expect it would probably work, and failing that you should be able to read files directly from the SD card if you put in an SD card reader.

  I would like to change my desktop image every few months. I do not use the option "change images". A photo is great at the time.

  I was not able to get my choice for 'stick' after either restarting, log - you (and back), or stopping and restarting. I don't know if any of my login items could interfere - it seems unlikely, and I could not verify that.

  May be a corrupt .plist.

  Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

  Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist and com.apple.desktop.plist.  Move the .plists on your desktop.

  Relaunch the Finder by restarting the computer and test. If it works fine, delete the plists from the desktop.

  If the same, return the .plists to where you obtained since, by crushing the latest.

  Hello. I deleted all my engines except Google search. However, there is a single search called Secure. I manually delete, but if I closed and reopened FF it reappears. It shows in the search, as well as menu choices if I try to do a search, it shows at the bottom of suggestions of concordance.

  I did a little research, and it is not related to moy. I am running McAfee. I also McAfee Secure Search does not, but it seems not be McAfee.   It certainly isn't a search engine plugin.

  You want to look for in these places and see if it is sitting there and can be deleted?

  1. From topic: config you can toggle browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML to True to activate the favourites being stored in the old format bookmarks.html, which is currently unused or only used for basic bookmarks with Firefox.
  2. Then use this extension for moving backups bookmarks.html in a folder of your choice. http://www.Pikey.me.UK/Mozilla/?addon=bookmark-backup
