Chrome://passwordmgr of Script is not responding

In 49.0.2, I have a Script does not caused by chrome://passwordmgr/... See Image file.

I don't have chrome installed on my computer, so it's very confusing. Why Firefox use chrome to do something?

Clues will be appreciated.

Thank you, Fred

Thanks Happy112,

Lighten you my biggest concern of monkey "other company" had somehow wriggled his way in my Firefox.

The problem is that was always so rarely that it would be impossible to find the error for sure.

But fortunately I could find him. While he was trying to get my laptop to look exactly like my office with all the bookmarks, folders, passwords, etc... So I just copied my profile on. Somehow during the copy he fell a few login.json entries. Correction which seems to have cured the problem.

Thank you very much for your reply, Fred

  • Message "the script is not responding.

    Hello

When I click on through my e-learning (created with Captivate) I get the message after some Firefox slides "WARNING: script is not responding - a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding." "You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script ends."

A similar message when I use IE or Chrome.

After that the transition from one slide to the next takes a few seconds.

    Any idea what goes wrong?

Indeed, it was my suspicion for some time, the problem was due to another slide. This really looks like now a corrupt project.

  • Repeated messages: script is not responding. The most recent example is chrome://amazon_ns_ph/content/alxtb2ff.js:1215. What's wrong?

During each session, I get the message; WARNING: there is a xxx of script is unresponsive. There is a dialog box to decide whether to stop the script or not. Several different scenarios have been appointed, but I saved only the last "chrome://amazon_ns_ph/content/alxtb2ff.js:1215". As far as I know the only other thing I did recently, is to export Safari bookmarks. Is there a setting in preferences, which could be responsible for this (Mac OS X 10.6.7, Firefox 4.0)

I have been using TB and its predecessor Eudora for years without any problem. At this point I sometimes get an error message "chrome://messenger/content/mailWindow.js:180", saying that the script has stopped working. I click on continue and it resumes.

After reading the various posts on the topic several times I did 1) re-indexed 2) made a clean installation 3) disabled modules 4) run in safe mode. Nothing seems to improve things. typical symptoms are:
    A. Download emails seems to take normal time, but their display in the Inbox can take a minute or more (used to be instantaneous) by clicking in the intermediate product, the message "not responding".
    B. Sending messages seems normal
    C. selection of a mail in the Inbox, or try to move or delete one takes a minute or more. Click on in the meantime generates the message "not responding".
    D. generally every action with the mouse has this long accompanied "not responding".

  • Why do I get, every 5 minutes or so, an error code "the Script is not responding" dialog box?

The dialog box indicates, "a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding."
    Script: http://cdn.doubleverity.com/avs484.js:48. »

Http: / / different addresses appear on different instances of the dialog box.

What can I do to remedy this kind of mistake?

DoubleVerify (http://www.doubleverify.com/) looks like an advertising company. It is possible that there is a glitch in their script, or that it is in conflict with an add-on.

Are other random errors or can you find a special patron of servers or similar server names?

A common cause of errors in script does not work on Windows 7 is the feature of mode of the Flash player plugin. This feature has the security benefits, but it seems to have serious compatibility problems on some systems. You can disable it using the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. On the right side, find 'Shockwave Flash' and click on the link for more. Then uncheck the box for "Enable Adobe Flash protected mode" and try it for a day to see if that helps you.

  • After the restart, firefox starts slowly, a script is not responding and answers continually.

Hi everyone, I have a true glance.

My firefox has always worked fine before, but I had to do a factor reset on my laptop and now there is a serious problem.

After installed, firefox works fine, but after a restart of the computer, it hangs, becomes sensitive and always this message after only 2-3 mins "script is unresponsive script: chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser.xml.2425 ' either press on continue or stop the script does not stop at his lack of reaction

This problem occurs in Firefox and Windows safe mode. I do not have Add ons installed and I also scanned for malware and there is not. I tried to reinstall clean without result.

    Any help much appreciated!

In this case the Firefox homepage integrated display and no other site?

In order to exclude Flash as a potential culprit, could you try one or two of the following ways:

    (1) disable the Safe_mode of the Flash Player plugin.

The following pages provide different ways to do this:

Flash must unload completely from memory (Firefox restart might help) before it would take effect.

    (2) the value of Flash Click-to-Play ("ask to activate").

This will delay the Flash start on a page, until you approve, which will distinguish the questions generated by Flash to load and layout problems.

To set 'Ask to activate', open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Search 'Shockwave Flash' and always change 'enable' to 'ask to activate '.

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

    Any improvement in these scenarios?

  • Script is not responding: chrome://browser/content/places/browser Views.js of Places: 115

Firefox has become very slow to load.

After about four minutes, the Firefox image for a Web page is displayed. Finally, the screen for my home page (Bing) fills the screen. I get the following error message: "WARNING: unresponsive script: a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding...» Script: chrome://browser/content/places/browser places Views.js: 115 "

Is this script connected to Bing or Firefox?

If Firefox, how can I stop referring to this error? I uninstalled Chrome from my laptop and strongly prefer not to use it.

I clean my Internet cache using CCleaner, every night. Often the files add up to 200 to 320 MB.

    Win XP Pro SP3.

Thanks a lot for your help.

It of a bit like the engine and turn it back on. It should not change anything, but... Maybe Firefox strives to update something and he couldn't finish the job, while Bing has been posted? In any case, I hope that whatever it is done now.

  • I'm trying to restore my bookmarks from a json file, but I get "WARNING: script is not responding - Script: chrome://browser/content/browser.js:3580 ' message - please help

I have no idea why will not restore my favorites. I am convinced that I even tried to reconstitute their at the time of the creation of the JSON to make sure they worked, and after that I was confident I left for a month or two then tried to recover, but it does not at all. I get the Script: chrome://browser/content/browser.js:3580 (script error unresponsive GSM) and if I click on continue or stop the bookmarks do not change their script. Please help - there are many favorites it I was counting on.

I tried all the suggestions several times and nothing worked. I don't know if it's me or FF.
Since none of the new backups worked, I went to my computer corrupted and copied the backup file of bookmark on a USB key. Then I stuck on my desktop. Went to 'restore backups', then to choose the file, then on the desktop. Fact. All bookmarks are copied in half a second.
Problem solved, and I know what to do if it happens again. Trick is to remember.

Install Snow Leopard on a Mac to display up to 10.6.8.
Then update of Firefox and now updated Firefox 20.0

In addition I frequently receive the message "Firefox has struggle to recover your windows and tabs." This is usually caused by a recently opened web page.

I had none of these problems with my previous version of Firefox.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

I guess that is related to the Yahoo Toolbar add-on. Try disabling this add-on and see if this message stops.

I'm trying to implement a synchronization server. I have a linux machine running the package AUR arch.

I have install sync.conf to http://192.168.x.x:5000 / and followed the instructions on this page:

On a separate machine, I bring the sync dialog, enter my email and password. However, trying to enter the server (same as above) it will display the symbol of red error and ask a valid server URL. No matter how I adjust as I entered, the message won't go away unless I re - select custom server in the drop-down menu.
