Where are reduce it and optimize the buttons? And the to-do bar?

I am so angry and mad at Windows 8 - I hate it! Nothing is simple and straightforward, and it took me days to find even a way to do the most basic things! However, one thing is particularly listen to me and I can't seem to be able to fix all display the taskbar and the reduction and maximize buttons when I'm on the internet!

I use Google chrome and have managed to customize my search bar and theme etc, but when I'm on a page all it displays is the page. It does not re-sizing options in the corner, no button maximize/minimize, and I can also see the taskbar.
All very irritating because I have to push the button of windows to access the boot screen, then click back on the desktop to see the bar of tasks or other programs/files I use.
I don't want to break the screen on one side and go like this - I want to be able to minimize! And see the desktop and the taskbar of blood so I can see the time at least!
I tried the task bar options to search for this alleged "appear on all screens" setting, but this is no the case to find! It's really annoying me and stupid support system was no help whatsoever! Why is there no number anywhere that I can call? Also, that thing where you put in a number, so they can call you did not work for some reason!
I'm so sick of this whole system! Sucks seriously!
Please, please someone help!
Thank you! :)
J
I use Google chrome

That is NOT a Microsoft product, so I suggest that you ask on the support of Google Chrome forums.

  • my photos on an external drive. my catalog is also stored there, (in the case where I have to change computers. where are stored my backups to the catalog? (can't find them!

as noted, my pix is on an external drive (pc), my catalogs are on the same drive. where are my backups being stored i cant seem to find them. If I open the folder lightroom with the name of the catalog on the outside, all I see is a bunch of files labeled 1,2,3, etc. and has, b, c.

shouldn't there be a folder labeled bacvkups?

If you have enabled the option to make catalog backups (you?) then your backups are in any case, indicate when the backup dialog box is displayed when you close Lightroom. If you enable the option to make backups of catalog, then you have not all backups.

Yoou can use the search function of your operating system to find the files on all hard disks that have a name that ends with. LRCAT to find all possible backups.

Note: the functionality of catalog in Lightroom backup makes a Backup of your file to catalog only. He doesn't have backups of your photos, you have to do it through other methods.

Note: backups SHOULD go on a different drive than the originals; you make a terrible mistake if you put them on the same disk as the original.

Tried on google and the search on the forum, the message is not very selective and got a few resut relevant.

Hope your exterts can point me to the config file where I can check the connetion to the repository. Alos could someone share with me knowledge on the following subjects

    (1) what are the process/elements of Grid Control? I am aware of who, the opmn and a running process as/u01/app/midware/oms11g/ccr/bin/nmz - cron - silent. All others? What are their functions?
    (2) the location of the configuration files, log files and binary executables of this process/components.

    Hello
to check if the WHO is running correctly run the command "emctl status who" ($OMS_HOME/bin).
The result should be 'Oracle Management Server is up'.

To check what components are running, run "opmnctl" order status ($OMS_HOME/opmn/bin).
The result should be something like:

  • Where are 10.2 and 10.2 Outreach Campaign optimizer

I don't find packs of installation of these modules in 10.2. Aren't they not release yet?

For the campaign optimizer it is possible using the ATG, targeting, scenarios, markers of profile, containing build A / B tests. Oracle has an Eloqua product which includes the management of email campaigns. I guess that Oracle wanted to end life products that are similar copies of Oracle products.

  • All of a sudden I can't open attachments to emails. I get a message that the 'security settings' do not allow. Where are these settings and who put?

I use TWC (Time Warner Cable) as my server e-mail and Firefox as my browser. I went to my emails and has attempted to open an attachment and got an error message stating "security settings prevent the download file. Well, I contacted TWC, Norton and my PC settings. It seems that Firefox is the problem! If I use another browser ie: Google and go to my email account, I have no problem. I remember recently that Firefox did a download of updates and this may be the cause of the problem.

Thank you for your private message with the error text: "your current security settings do not allow this file to download."

Firefox partially integrates with Internet Explorer security settings for download purposes. You can realize your Internet Explorer settings to the 'Internet' zone by following the steps described in this answer to Microsoft forums:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/IE/Forum/IE8-windows_other/error-message-your-current-security-settings-do/59cc236d-7baf-4552-92ff-b34b9a6942aa

Note: Traditionally, the Internet Options dialogue box was available in the Control Panel, as well as in IE. Not sure about Windows 8.1.

  • Where are my images and albums!

I clicked on my a/c Revel this morning on my mac, and she advised me that I had to re - connect to my a/c.  As he did occasionally for purposes of securety I didn't no what issue you doing.  When I am logged in, I noticed that he gave me new features for the pachage but now I find that ALL MY IMAGES AND ALBUMS have disappeared and I'm reduced to a NEW free a/c. What is going on?  I am a fully paid up member and really do not appreciate having to go around the houses to use what I paid for.
I even found a link to your forum and posted a question here. In hindsight, I saw that it was a close enough question answered so I went to the NEW tab and put in a question. As you can see, I'll try to get some answers as to what happened to my pictures and albums in the round.  I use an iPad and he went there as well. It seems to connect to my account but for deleted everything! Please be so kind to respond to my request for answers. I liked using Revel since its first incarnation and was looking forward to many years of hassle free use. There is no way to treat a good regular product, sort it please as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Ornella-

Most of the time in these cases, the user has more than one e-mail and revel so more than one account. When you were connected before, it was with a different email, or google or Facebook? My best guess is that you recently connected with a different electronics.  I'll send you an email if you do not post your email online addresses. The account using the gmail account that you use on this forum was created only 7 hours, is not the same account that you were logged in previously when you added the pictures.

  • Where are my passwords stored on the hard disk in Firefox 16?

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 and went from Windows 7, and I just forgot to save (Yes, I know, it's stupid) my profile with passwords. The windows.old folder is there, with my old profile and everything, but I can't seem to find the passwords. In every article I read about this, I'm told even "the signons3.txt and signons.sqlite in the profile folder. But there is NOTHING in my Firefox profile folder.
To see if she was just disappeard my windows.old folder, I installed Firefox 16 and saved a password. But it's the same here, there is no files at all.

It works differently in Firefox 16? Or is bad just pure Windows 8?

These are the good files signons3.txt and signons.sqlite

That you are unable to find similar files in the installation in progress, you may be looking in the wrong place or does not display hidden files.

You might have a custom Setup, but the profile is generally

  • Where are my bookmarks and comments?

So it turns out that I lost an hour of work, marking and comment on clips in prelude.

There was no conventional 'save' command to the prelude project, so I assumed that the project has been saved automatically. And I closed it.

The only option is "save under", which is normally to save an additional version of a project. That's how we are supposed to save projects in prelude?

    Am I missing something?

I did a test with the same images and used the command "save under" to replace the existing project, saved just fine markers. Argh!

    What's up with that?

    Hi Matthew,

    Sorry for your problem.

In fact, as you have right, prelude records metadata automatically information as soon as it is added and the option "Save as" is used only to create an additional version only.

It is really strange that markers were not saved automatically, but got visible on save as.

You can mention the following points to give me a better idea on the problem:

    • Version of the prelude help--> on Adobe prelude
    • OS version
    • Open Panel of the event from the window--> event and check if there is any error message after adding markers.
    • This happens with any format specific file or all files? If an individual, you can share this file?
    • This happens all the time when you add markers or once in a while?

    Hope your problems be resolved.

    Thank you

  • Where are my presets and why new not displayed?

So I tried to set up Lightroom Modeile and failed and in the process, I managed to erase all 800 presets that I use on a daily basis. Now that I have started to put some of those that I use a lot of return, nothing shows up. IM so frustrated as surely if its asking me if I want to install, and I click on OK, then its installation right? EVIL!

    Any help would be grateful.

If the new presets have been added with LR open you must close and reopen LR for them is displayed.

  • Where are my centerlines and guides?

Hey, not sure if im describing correctly, ive been Googling like crazy for an hour!

I used indesign on other computers (in College) before so I know that when you move images and texts around the page you usually get guidelines and other Center guides that help you align objects with other objects on the page...

This does not happen for me! I'm doing my presentation nice and neat, but I can't tell if something is in line with eachother! I am constantly guessing!

    Advice please!

  • I compacted my messages. Messages from 17/01/2012 to 01/04/2012 are not in my Inbox and I didn't remove them where are?

    Out Look express

I compacted my messages. Messages from 17/01/2012 to 01/04/2012 are not in my Inbox and I didn't remove them where are?
Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
    http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact

    Why mail disappears:
    http://www.insideoe.com/problems/bugs.htm#mailgone

    Recovery methods:

If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
    http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspx

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

    And backup often.

  • Where are the files (images, etc.) used in a design?

I used a MUSE composition that includes three slides. Where are these images and how to add, remove or modify?

Muse uses a system based on a model and the placeholders in the templates are substituted with your images via the respective property Panel. It's really basic things. You must read the help of Muse.
