  I use a unit of reconditiioned Dell 8300 with XP Professional system.  The unit was slow and gel a bit so, in one of the slow itls break cycles I insereted in the toolbar an old XP disc I had to front to see if that would help and after I closed the tray I noise loud crash and the tray came out showing broked pieces of the disc. I flipped the unit and hit the bottom and more pieces of the disc came out.  Now the set is not closed.  If I insert a workable disc and maintain status bar tap it will not do anything and a window tells me to insert a disc. Shou ld I try to disassemble the unti to see if there's still some piece or pieces preventing reset the tray? Or is it to say that I'm going to my repairman authorized Microsoft for the rerpair?  E-mail address is removed from the privacy *.

  I'm really sorry to laugh, but this is a funniest post I've ever seen. Apparently you've damaged the device rom (cd/dvd drive) replace it with a new one. They measure less $ $30 .00usd. Furthermore, placing the old drive in the drive xp will not improve the performance of the computer. Looks like you have some malware.   From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

  Restart the computer and you should find that the documents have been deleted.

• I have an element (Web page) on the new tab at the bottom of the page that will not respond to everything I do and I can't get rid of...

  It seems to take place, because I can't get 8 items on the page.

  You can zoom in on the page (hold down the CTRL key and press the key once or twice) to fit more.

  Firefox can not remember unless you also disable a setting. You can do so here:

  (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

  (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

  (3) double-click the preference browser.newtab.preload to change its value from true to false

  After the change, if you have any 'new tab' pages open, close them and open a new one change, the zoom setting and now we must remember.

  If you do not want to reduce the zoom level, there are some add-ons to change the page. What follows is often referred to:

• Two BIG problems: Firefox clears the tabs and will not save preferences

  Long story:
  I'm on a 2009 15 "Macbook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo with OS X 10.6.8. A few weeks ago I started suddenly problems with some features in Gmail... but only in Firefox. Specifically, I was no longer able to preview attachments in the new Gmail attachment viewer. After a long back-and-forth on the Gmail forum with no results, I turned to Firefox. After having poking around in Firefox Help, I decided to reset Firefox. This solved the problem with Gmail, but in turn created two new more serious problems with Firefox: (1) I can't save my history settings in the privacy of the preferences tab (I want to use the custom settings; whenever I have this option in the menu drop down and close prefs., as soon as I open Pref once again, the history of setting is default return "remember history"; (2) even more serious and obviously related: whenever I quit Firefox, all my tabs and groups of tabs went to the re-opening. I can restore the previous session, but this obviously isn't the solution.

  I basically tried everything suggested in the articles referred to in the help of Firefox, reset Firefox again, trashing the prefs.js file in my profile folder (I have no other pref files - that is to say without "prefs - n.js or 'prefs.js.moztmp' or 'Invalidprefs.js'... I don't see not a user.js file in my profile folder either). I even used the disk utility to repair permissions on my Mac HD... for all that is worth it.

  I'm so sick of everything that I am seriously considering ditching Firefox altogether. There, can someone help me understand what is happening?

  Choose "Use the custom settings for history" allows you to see current history and cookies settings, but select this is not make changes to the parameters of the history and cookies.

  Firefox displays "Use the custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one story and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that the changes have been made.

  If all the parameters of the history and cookies are by default, the custom settings are hidden and see you "conservation rules: (never) don't forget history."

• App is stuck in the update and will not delete IOS 9.2

  I have an application that gets about 3/4 of the way through an update and stops. I tried to remove it and I confirm delete but it does not delete. The App Store app, it shows if it is on the cloud and not my phone. How can I fix the problem?

  If I'm right, you are having problems removing an application that updates 3/4, and then it just stops.

  Try restarting your iPhone:

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears
  • Drag the slider to completely turn off your iPhone
  • Once the iPhone is off, press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    • Once you have restarted your iPhone, check if you can remove the app, or if the application is able to be updated.

  Try to connect to iTunes and App Store:

  • Open settings > scroll down and tap on "iTunes & App Store > type on your Apple ID > tap Sign Out."
    • Once you have disconnected, reconnect and check if you are able to remove the app, or able to be updated.

  Try to reset your network settings:

  • Open settings > tap general > tap reset > tap reset network settings > enter your password if prompted.
    • Once you have reset your network settings check if you are able to remove the app, or able to be updated.
