I have configured my VPN Cisco "CUSTOMER-VPN" clients and relative password

Whenever they connect, they are prompted for the password and username phase2 then they join the VPN with an IP address from local subnet released.

With the same parameters required and confirmed in section ipsec VPN Iphone it does not work.

It's 877 isakmp debug output after that Iphone wonder name of user and password (then I suppose that phase 1 completed):

• Cisco vpn client minimized in the taskbar and the rest in status: disconnect

I used 5.0.07.0240 cisco vpn client for 1 month with my pc under windows 7-64 bit. Worked well for 1 month. All of a sudden now when I double click the icon to start, VPN automatically minimizes to the taskbar with the disconnected state. It does not connect the option to hit or anything before it reduced to a minimum. I've not seen this before and no changes... but now it simply doesn't work. All solutions? Windows just patch automatically breaking cisco?
Unfortunately, cisco does not world class technical service... they called but no use.

In my view, there is now a published version of the x 64 client, you need to download.
If you suspect an update of Windows, why not try a system restore for a day, it was
working correctly?

• How to allow access to a local area network behind the cisco vpn client

Hi, my question is about how to allow access to a local area network behind the cisco vpn client

With the help of:

• Cisco 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) that is running version 8.2 software
• Cisco VPN Client version 5.0 software

Cisco VPN client allows to inject a local routes in the routing table Cisco ASA?

Thank you.

Hi Vladimir,.

Unfortunately this is not a supported feature if you connect through the VPN Client. With VPN Client, that the VPN Client can access the VPN Client LAN host/local machine, not host from the local network to business as customer VPN is not designed for access from the local company network, but to the local corporate network.

If you want to access from your local business to your LAN network, you need to configure LAN-to-LAN tunnel.

• Allow Cisco VPN Client through the firewall?

Hello

How can I allow a cisco VPN client work from the inside of our network to an external IP address?

We have customers who wish to make use of their Cisco VPN Client companies but our ASA blocks I think?

Also (sorry to ask) a friend in South America is having the same problem but I am not hink they use Cisco, is there a default port used by the client to Cisco? then I can send this info?

Thank you

Generally, the ASA will allow the IPSEC from the inside to outside traffic. This is when you want it came outside and connect to you - this is where it gets creative. You restrict outgoing traffic at all? You deny all ip/tcp/udp outgoing?

But may depend on if the remote end is compaitable NAT - T, and if they have configured. Another question would be how they allow VPN traffic go?

• Professional Windows Vista crashes when you use Cisco VPN Client 5.05.0290

I have a Dell Latitude E6400 Windows Vista Business (32 bit) operating system. When I go to turn on the VPN client, I get invited to my username / password and once entered, the system just hangs. The only way to answer, it's a re-start. I took action:

1 disabled UAC in Windows
2 tried an earlier version of the VPN client
3. by the representative of Cisco, I put the application runs as an administrator

If there are any suggestions or similar stories, I would be grateful any offereings.

It IS the COMODO Firewall with the 5.0.x CISCO VPN client that causes the gel. The last update of COMODO has caused some incompatibility. I tried to install COMODO without the built in Zonealerm, but it is still frozen. The only way to solve it is to uninstall COMODOD. Since then, my CISCO VPN client works again...

• Cisco VPN client + VPN site-to-site

Hi all

I have two ASA5505 with a site to site VPN.

One of the ASA is connected to the internal network 192.168.150.0.

It is connected to 192.168.151.0.

I also configured IPSec Cisco VPN client that is connected to 192.168.150.0.

I would like to know if it is possible for a connected with the Cisco VPN client to access the 192.168.151.0 by the site-to-site VPN network.

Thank you!

Hello

If you mean that the IP addresses of the VPN Pool are something like 192.168.150.x then I suggest to use a totally different network than those used on LANs.

At the software level 9.1 basically causes changes to how are the NAT0 configurations.

MAIN SITE

network of the VPN-POOL object

subnet x.x.x.x y.y.y.y

being REMOTE-LAN network

192.168.151.0 subnet 255.255.255.0

destination of static NAT VPN VPN-POOL POOL (outdoors, outdoor) static REMOTE - LAN LAN

REMOTE SITE

network of the VPN-POOL object

subnet x.x.x.x y.y.y.y

the object of the LAN network

192.168.151.0 subnet 255.255.255.0

NAT static destination LAN LAN (indoor, outdoor) static source VPN-VPN-POOL

Otherwise, I would imagine that the same kind of configurations above apply. You need the ' same-security-movement ' command to allow the 'outside' to ' outside ' of the movement. You will have to ensure that the ACL from Tunnel Split contains the remote site network. And of course, you should make sure that the ACL crypto sets / include traffic between VPN pool and the network 192.168.151.0/24 on both sides ASAs.

I have a Cisco 2821 and ASA 5510 VPN router in my network.

Our remote users are using Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07 and I need to track on a server and keep their login information to generate reports for my manager.

Could you please let me know how I can do this trick of surveillance?

Thank you

Mike

It can be done by choosing one of three types of monitoring of the performance of the VPN:

I hope this helps!

• Cisco VPN Client anything cannot access through VPN on an ASA5505 8.4

Hello

Completely new to Cisco ASA and the need to get this working ASAP.

8.4 (1) ASA 5505 is the secondary FW and I need to authorize all out and block everything coming, but for the VPN clients. Since a jerk of Cisco, I used the ASDM and it's sorcerers to make this work, which may explain my situation.

192.168.101.0/24 is the local network

192.168.101.5 is the IP of ASA

192.168.101.2 is the primary FW (and the default gateway for servers, I have to access through the VPN)

10.10.101.0/24 is the VPN IP range (this can be what you want, I'm not married to it somehow)

My Cisco VPN Client connects to the ASA and receives 10.10.101.1 IP address, but I get no connectivity to the ASA or any other 192.168.101.x or service server (tried RDP, telnet, ping, etc.)

Configuration file is attached.

Help pretty please!

Thank you.

Did you add a route for the VPN Pool on the main firewall to the ASA?

Best regards

Peer

• SafeNet and Cisco VPN Client Compatible?

I have been using the Cisco VPN for quite awhile with no problems. Recently, we have added a Watchguard Firebox somewhere else and have installed the Client of Watchguard MUVPN, otherwise known as a customer of Safenet.

Since the installation, I could not yet properly use the Cisco Client. If I disable the two Services of Safenet, I invited to my user id and password and connect to the Cisco Concentrator and get an ip, etc. However, I can't ping anything on the network.

My solution is to completely uninstall both clients and reinstall the Cisco by itself. This is not very practical.

If anyone know a fix for this I'd appreciate comments.

Thank you

Patrick Dunnigan

Hi Patrick,

I only got lucky with the SafeNet customer brand Watchguard with the 4.0.x releases of the Cisco client. I think Cisco 4.6 clients use a newer driver from the DNE or else that plays well with SafeNet.

In any case, here's how to set up PC that requires both clients:

First, install the Cisco VPN client. Restart the application, and then stop and disable the Windows service.

Install the client for Watchguard, reboot as requested.

Then, stop and set to manual both SafeNet services, then start and set to automatic the Cisco service.

Delete the shortcut in your Start menu Startup group safecfg.exe (or the key of HKLM\MS\Windows\CurrentVer\Run, where he gets set.)

Delete the shortcut to start for the Cisco VPN client as well.

Whenever you want to use the Cisco customer, you can just launch the Dialer to IPSec. If you want to run the SafeNet client, stop the Cisco service, start the services of SafeNet, then run safecfg.exe. A few batch files facilitate this process for users.

Hope that helps,

Chris

• What are the ports used by the Cisco VPN Client?

Hello

I need to open my outgoing traffic on my firewall to allow two interns (LAN) Cisco VPN Client to connect to their Internet virtual private network.

I already opened the port 500/UDP, but they are not able to connect. If I open all outgoing ports, they can connect.

What are the ports used by the Cisco VPN Client?

Thank you

You need to open:

UDP 500

ESP protocol

You must also open the UDP 4500 port (if using NAT - T).

In addition, if the clients are connecting to a VPN 3000 Concentrator series and it is configured for all other options of NAT-transparency, corresponding ports must be open. By default:

1. If using IPSec over TCP 10000, then open TCP 10000.

2. If using IPSec over UDP 10000, open UDP 1000.

• Problems to connect via the Cisco VPN client IPSec of for RV180W small business router

Hello

I tried to configure my router Cisco of RV180W as a customer VPN IPSec, but have encountered a problem that I hope someone can help me with. "" I managed to do the work of configuration so that the Cisco's VPN IPSec client authenticates successfully with the XAUTH user, I put on the router, but during the negotiation, the client ends with the following, which appears several times on the router error message: ' Mar 20 Oct 19:41:53 2015 (GMT + 0000): [r1] [IKE] ERROR: local configuration for > [34360] has no config mode.

I've read around the internet and a number of people seem to say that the Cisco VPN Client is not compatible with the router, but the same thing happens to my iPhone VPN client.

Is it possible that this can be implemented? Below, I have attached the full configuration files and the log files. Thank you much in advance.

Correct, the RV180 is not compatible with the Cisco VPN Client. The Iphone uses the Cisco VPN Client.

You can use the PPTP on the RV180 server to connect a PPTP Client.

In addition, it RV180 will allow an IPsec connection to third-party customers 3. Greenbow and Shrew Soft are 2 commonly used clients.

• VPN client: What ports and protocols?

Anyone know which ports and protocols are used by the cisco VPN client? (Telco needs this info, because the VPN client does not work in its network)

I know of UDP/500 (ISAKMP)

Erik,

In addition to ISAKMP, Protocol ESP 50 you and, possibly, NAT - T which is UDP/4500.

• What is a VPN solution that is more stable than IPSEC VPN? What is the latest version of VPN client recommended for Windows 7 & 8 users?

Hello

I would like to ask a few details & concerns on our existing VPN configuration.

1. What is the Cisco VPN client recommended for users of Windows 7 and 8? Is there an official documentation for this Cisco? We currently use customer VPN Ciso 5.0.7.

2. we are running IPSEC VPN with only 1 gateway & only local authentication (No ACS) for our client. Recently, we have some concerns that they are the VPN connection is down. Whereas if I'm the one connected to the VPN, my connection is stable. Is there any point that we must consider up in the network. Is there a better configuration or solution that we could recommend to the customer as SSL VPN?

3. If you want to use SSL VPN anyconnect secure mobility & we want to implement redundancy on the FW, how will the license work?

Thank you!

An AnyConnect-based VPN is the replacement recommended for remote IPsec VPN access. (source)

AnyConnect can use SSL or IPsec (IKEv2) for transport.

For an ASA redundant firewalls (running 8.3 (1) or later) any permit required AnyConnect are shared between them. that is, you just buy licenses for a member of the HA pair. (source)

• How to create a VPN file .pcf for the CISCO VPN CLIENT software profile

Dear all

How to create a VPN file .pcf for the CISCO VPN CLIENT software profile

Concerning

Hi Imran,

Can't do much about that because it depends on what authenticate you the VPN server and how the settings. But let me introduce you to the memory layout. Once you install and open a VPN client. Press it again and it opens up a new page for the VPN config.

Example of configuration as it is attached. But it differs depending on the configuration of your vpn server.

Once you create and save this profile. Your FCP file is stored.

Please assess whether the information provided is useful.
