clarification of the role of admin Help Desk in IOM

I have granted few users with the role help desk Admin, I got the below list of permissions of the document oracle.

When the user tried to change the attribute of the user (name, first name etc...), he went for approval. But in the list above permission to the role of assistance, there is no mention of user to change access rights.

How is the user was able to edit the attribute name? Is this regular behavior?  I see the admin role Viewer user has permission to modify user (attribute-level security) .

Help Desk role inherits permissions of other admin roles (display of use / other role)?

What is meant by request or direct exploitation?

What is meant by scope organization permissions?

Please provide details?

    I've been playing for some time a way to get a list of all users who have received a special role of Admin. I have a role for which I would like a specific subset of users to approvers on it, and I want to greate a rule that checks for people with a special role of Admin and then return this list as people to be approvers on the role.

    I was not able to find an easy way to write this code. Any who cross this before or have another suggestion?

    I'm having trouble mapping a group LDAP to the role of the Complutense University of MADRID.
    Let me explain the situation.

    I have an external LDAP (Apache DS) with two groups (groupofuniquenames), 'Administrators' and 'Test' and two users 'ldap_admin' and 'ldap_user '. ldap_admin is a uniqueMember administrators and the ldap_test a test uniqueMember.

    At the University Complutense of MADRID, I created a custom role 'Test' with privileges "RWD" group 'Public '.

    I guess that the external LDAP has been configured successfully as an LDAP authenticator provider - myrealm settings tab, since I can see groups and external LDAP users, and they can connect the DCU with their user id and password.

    However, ldap_user is unable to perform the check, and on their profile page, the role is "invited, authenticated."
    And when I pass ldap_user in the test group to the Administrators group, the role is then "invited, authenticated, admin, sysmanager, refineryadmin, rmaadmin, pcmadmin, ermadmin.
    It seems that the Administrators group is mapped correctly, but not the group test.

    I have created a 'externalLdapMap' identification card, completed the provider.hda file and put the map "Test, Test". I also tried with "Test, contributor" that I was not sure about the first mapping.

    I missed something in the process?

    I think that you have enabled the LDAP authenticator credits and that this error will go up.

    You must create an OpenLDAPAuthenticator and do the same settings with flag set up and then test the scenario.

    I have a question, if we create a user in OIM 11 g R2 without any admin role, then connect on screen Self Service (identity) with the newly created user, we can see that the Administration tab is visible to the user.

    Is that mean that user a admin role assigned to him in some admin activities do this by default.

    Please let me know how to control this behavior and do not display the Administration tab the user until and unless it is to have an admin of roles assigned.

    Hi all, I have seen a couple of these posts and tried to make sense of them, but I am at a loss. My iMac (end 2013) was unbearably slow (safari, finder, photos, whatever- allbeach balls) for the better part of a year now. In fact, we have abandoned for the most part to use it. I have a daughter entering the upper levels of the school and I would like to get this thing works well again, then we can build upon. Anyone of you guys spots do everything seems awkward in this report?     First of all, get rid of Sophos. It is worthless.

    I have Windows Server 2008 with about 50 + printers currently installed. This server is configured to use Terminal Server services.

    I want to access the PrintBRM tool to export this configuration for the additional Terminal servers, but I don't have the active print server role.
    If I add the role of server printer so I can use PrintBRM, will this affect my configuration current impression? I will start adding printers through print management?

  • Received a phone call that is supposed to come from Microsoft Help Desk all downloaded on my computer junk files! Is it a scam?

    I got an unexpected phone call this morning. The man at the other end is said to Microsoft Help Desk. He said he had an urgent problem with my computer. He said that, as part of the automatic updates download, my computer had downloaded some unwanted files likely to damage my computer. He said that the files would fill my drive causing my computer to grind to a halt and also undermine my security software, leaving my computer vulnerable to attacks. He wanted to sit in front of my computer and he would talk to me through fixing it. I did apologize and hung up. I now had two of these calls.

    The sounds of all of this as a scam to me! I have no way of verifying that this person has been Microsoft at all, and I can't imagine Microsoft never call someone at home like that. I guess it was someone trying to access my computer for criminal purposes. I couldn't find anything on the web site of Microsoft to think there was no truth in what in told me.

    Can anyone offer me any advice?
