  I just got a Storm 2 a few days ago and so far I like it a lot. At the Verizon store they transferred my contacts on my new phone and it worked very well. Today, although when I turned on my BlackBerry I had duplicates of many of my contacts, and some have been removed. In some cases, each of the entries under the same name had different phone numbers listed under them. I have no idea of what has past and it really seems to be no what he made model. I have the phone set in place with the Director of office for Mac but I've not implemented to synchronize contacts. I had it sync my email contacts but I did it the day I got it and it was no problem until today. Any suggestions on what may be happening or how to fix it?

  I just got my classic Blackberry an upgarde to my Bold 9780. The first thing I did was to transfer all my call logs, text messages and contacts at classic BB using the BB link. I followed all the steps and complete the process.

  Unfortunately, all contacts, text in waiting and call logs have not been transferred to my classic BB.

  When BB link asks to connect my old Bold 9780 it creats a back to the top folder of request to connect the classic BB and transfers the backup file of the Bold 9780. End of no use as always all my contacts. At the end of the binding process attention msg appears * contacts, messages, and newspapers is poster in a feww minutes, IE it will take time to appear

  Its almost 24 hours and all contacts have not appeared in the classic BB contact application.

  I suspect that the developer has another version of the device application according to BB10 you use, for example on my jump I shows me 9.5.30.0

  That being the case, when you contact the developer I would ask them to check what version of their app, they have 'activated' for each device BB10 and mention the different versions being shown in this thread based on device type.

  My suspicion is a device with the version 9.6, but other devices were not activated with the version 9.6.

  I had classic Blackberry less then 30 days. Got battery low so I plugged it into the wall, left Jack for about 3 hours. Returned, and he was placed in a kind of loop of constant restarts? All I get is logo blackberry, then black screen and blackberry logo.   I just bought a classic BlackBerry Q20. My problems are:

  1. I can't fully charge the unit while it is on. If it is enabled, the battery power stops at 60%, no other.

  2. If I load normal when the unit is off, Yes, it will charge up to 100% with green led. However, when I turn on the device, it will start exactly in factory setting. All data, applications and updates are missing.

  My question: what should I do? I downloaded the link BlackBerry and BlackBerry mixture, in their latest version. I also supported the unit entirely.   (1) I have granularily configured different contacts to the ring through "silent" while some people may sound through if I'm having a NAP or sleep. The classic allows you granularily configure the option of 'ring through' on a manually configured silent mode?

  (2) can the classic surely go to sleep and wake up one day of week / weekend schedule? My current phone doesn't sleep at midnight and wake up at 06:00 every night of the week and 02:00 to 09:00 on weekends.

  (3) back in the day of Blackberry older had a view "of today" where you could see the incoming email and tasks on the main screen. I couldn't get that with my Bold 9900, but I found this interesting app called BePopup which jumps to the top of my texts and emails on the screen as they come, without touching a button. Can you get automatically posted emails or texts with that with the classic?

  (4) the Blackberry plan I have with my provider uses the platform communications for my Blackberry RIM and so my e-mails are immediate, arriving minutes always quicker than other CC (iPhone and Android users) distribution lists. That being said, is the new classic uses what platform these other phones use for messaging connectivity?

  Any feedback regarding these essential functions would be greatly appreciated as it will help me in my decision. I am very happy with my 9900 and have little reason to upgrade... unless all of these options are available.

  Your version is indeed very old! The most recent BB (not necessarily from the carriers) is SR 10.3.1.1784 / OS 10.3.1.2582.

  Hmmm... the concept of the 'safe'... hmmm... difficult to answer really. For me, these two methods are sure... I've used both methods several times, and only once had no problems at all (a corrupted file autoloader... easily fixed by getting a replacement from a more reliable source). Indeed, with the most recent series of releases of 10.3.1.xxxx, there are many reports of problems specifically caused by the 'official' installation methods that have actually been cured by these informal methods.

  Thus, 'safe' tends to vary according to the current conditions. But, as always, YMMV - and it is 100% your decision as to what is 'safe' for you.

  The one I use (and works with Classic) came out 850mA. It's a generic brand for a store (Verizon) charger. It seems to do a quick job to charge the phone. BUT, as I mentioned in the first answer, before I updated the operating system, this charger only would not even detected by the phone.

  As a note: If you look on the site of the Blackberry shop, you will notice the 'Premium in the vehicle charger' has an output of 1. 8 has, BUT it does not show he's working on the classic. Test with a charger of friends if you have the opportunity to do so.

  I've seen other users say that when you use the separate SMS sometimes does not get SMS messages.

  I recently traveled abroad and disabled the mobile network on my classic Blackberry. After returning last night, I found I could not turn it on and get cellular service (after clicking on the Mobile network, it keeps saying "put out cellular services" and not to others).   Have you tried the instruction, but the phone still does not work. Went to the Virgin store and replaced a SIM by their request. The phone works now and the problem most likely came from the SIM card (the said store that happens frequently due at the rate of unknow guys).
