CLEAN INSTALL XP HOME: PROBLEM, STOP NORMAL LOADING

I'm doing a clean install of XP Home Edition on my desktop which had equipped the new XP and works now very slowly (2 years or almost since a clean installation by an engineer). The entire system was backed up on an external hard drive. Avast has been turned off. I'm following "perform a new installation of Windows XP" as found on windows.xpl.tripod.com. The installation disc is the original hologram MS, one of the desktop PC machine, loaded in the CD-ROM drive (CD / DVD:SM - BENQ) and I see ' what do you do? I also have a BENQ RW drive. Then I start and find that I need to press F11 for boot device menu. 1st floppy drive, disk HARD etc. are available. Highlight CD / DVD:SM - BENQ DVD-ROM 16 X and press ENTER. I see "press any key to boot from the CD-ROM. Pressing space bar, delete etc. as lightning right now, it seems (even pressing fast and often before him appear in words) has failed after several attempts. The system simply loads Windows normally. I tried F2 at initial start-up, went to START the configuration utility and choose the BENQ SM for the 1st Boot device, do F10 to save and exit. You press ENTER to accept OK. You press F11, highlighted once more the SM-BENQ and press ENTER. Yet once «press a key...» "is displayed. Key g tried and various other attempts. I do not see "Set up Windows XP", Windows loads just normally.

Is there another "no" button I can press to stop the normal load?

Is there another method to achieve the goal?

I assume you are using resolution 3 in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060

It is not guaranteed that the upperfilters and lowerfilters will be present. Just delete what is available and it should fix the problem.

    Using a floppy disk:

Installing a version commercial (street copy) of Windows XP on a Toshiba Vista laptop.

    Step 1: Prepare the BIOS
-Go to section Support/Drivers on the Toshiba site and look for your model of Toshiba
-If your phone has a separate version of BIOS for XP and Vista, download the BIOS XP and run it in Windows.
-If you cannot start Windows, you can update the BIOS after installing XP.

Step 2: Enable SATA Compatibility Mode in the BIOS
-If installing XP cannot detect SATA drive, enable SATA Compatibility Mode in BIOS if this option is available and install XP.

Step 3: Install XP using a floppy with the SATA drivers
-If SATA compatibility mode is not available, you must use the SATA drivers diskette during installation of XP. Follow these steps:

    (1) Download driver Windows XP SATA F6 on the site of Toshiba Support/downloads.
If a single SATA/AHCI F6 driver is unavailable, download and extract the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver for XP in a temporary folder.
The Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver package must contain some files under the folder "F6flpy". For example: C:\temp\Intel Matrix Storage Manager\F6flpy\ICH8M_32bit
Choose the right folder. For example: ICH8M_32bit for a Chipset of Intel ICH8 during installation of Windows XP 32-bit.

    (2) copy these files (iastor.inf, etc.) on a blank diskette. The files must reside in the root directory of the floppy disk.
    For example: A:\iastor.inf, A:\iaahci.inf, etc...

    (3) connect a Toshiba USB floppy drive to the Toshiba laptop. (some non - Toshiba USB Floppy Drives may not work correctly during the installation of XP)

    (4) (4) demarrer start from the Windows XP CD, start the installation and make sure that your floppy with the drivers is inserted into the floppy USB drive.

    (5) for the XP installation invites you to press F6 to install a storage driver, immediately press F6.

    (6) for installing XP you invites to select a SATA driver, select the appropriate driver and continue.
    For example: ICH7M Intel(r) 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller, Intel(r) ICH8M 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller

    (7) keep the attached floppy drive and floppy disk inserted XP has not completed its installation.
Do not partition or format the hard drive during the installation of XP. The diskette SATA drivers are copied and stored on the hard drive during the installation of XP.

    Steve

Check the owner's manual or the support page online for your make and model and search for instructions on how to use the "Recovery" partition

Another option is to contact support and ask them to send the recovery media. Note that is maybe not a free service.

I see that others have the same problem as me, but there is no way to comment (that I can see) on the thread I've read.  After a lot of problems, I did a clean install of VISTA Home Premium (came with my Dell PC) and when I installed service pk2, all of the same problems that led me to do a clean install appeared.  I can't the computer to recognize and install the keyboard and the mouse of the blue tooth. (Don't tell me to contact the manufacturer, because they came w / the computer and say "Dell" on them!)  He told me that the enumerator does not work.  Then I launched Quicken, and when I tried to save a registry check for print, he gave me the msg "Quicken launcher has stopped working".  He was a key reason I did a clean install.  The only improvement is that I can at least open Quicken, which he would not let me do before.  How to uninstall service pack 2?

  • Impossible to Vista Home Basic to Vista Home Premium. Don't want to do a clean install. How to get around this problem?

just bought an upgrade to Vista Home Premium with service pack 1.  I'm upgrading to Vista Home Basic.  The program tells me that the upgrade has been disabled and he wants to do me a clean install.  I really don't want to do a clean install.

If your installed Vista Home Basic has recently installed Service Pack 2 > uninstall Vista Service Pack 2 for him >

Do your upgrade to Home Premium Service Pack 1 > then redownload/reinstall Vista Service Pack 2 again.

And make sure your Vista installed and the upgrade of Vista are the versions both either 32-bit or 64-bit, depending on what is your Vista Basic.

Click Start > right click on computer > properties > Info is if your Vista is 32-bit or 64-bit Vista.

    Hello

It's a shame you don't know the exact name of the virus

Malware can cause non-genuine messages appear

    but try this:

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill

If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
  • {a} speaker on a clean install, XPS 410 - Spware Possible problems / Malware *.

I recently did a clean install on my XPS 410 due to blue screen problems when you set up a wireless network in my house.  Everything seemed to go well--is something that I did several times on multiple computers, this one included.  But this time my speaker system (Dell A525 30 Watt stereo speakers with subwoofer 2.1) obviously caused a problem.  I have the drivers for all my devices on my external hard drive, and they are labeled.  The driver for the loaded speaker system but was still yellow in Device Manager.  I also kept getting the message directly after loading windows: "entry point procedure LocalizeString is not found in the dynamic library STLang.dll."  I could click OK and continue. Slowly.  I looked on the net and find it is quite frequent - everyone seems to have a way to heal, but there are always strings, and none of them work in all cases.  One thing all agreed terms of sound equipment.  And it was the only yellow marked item, I had.  In fact, he showed in device as Manager: "SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC".

I became exasperated to the point I disconnected the sound system and removed from the room!  I have attached an old Dell speaker system and it worked for a few sounds and then stopped.  Finally, I removed the original system, as shown just on top, using Add/Remove programs.  After the message has disappeared so I am sure it was the problem.  Then, when I couldn't others in work, I decided to restore to the point just before I removed this system 'SigmaTel '.  Fake!  Of course, he came back as did the error message and I have been unable to get these old speakers installed no matter how hard I tried!  (I don't have the driver for that precisely, but the required system to come with something that didn't work).  Again, I tried to uninstall the SigmaTel program but it wouldn't let me!  It would take me to a Web site that was of no use to me.

In its current form, I spilled the system restore point and the SigmaTel is gone as is the error message.  But I have no system of his work on my 410.

Any ideas out there?  I was a member of this community almost since the first day and have had excellent results in the past.  I bet that someone knows how to help me.  (Anyone remember Denny Denham?  I know he's not there to help more. Always wondered what happened to him.)

    Thanks in advance.  Bessie

It is up to you, but analysts on sites like SpywareInfoForums, SpywareHammer, Bleeping Computer, Geeks to go, The technical support Forumsand MalwareRemoval Forums, in contrast to support tech OEM and other forums, are trained to stay with you to the resolution and to remove their tools (assuming that yields of poster for tracking) so that they do not remain on the system to help you "trouble." They probably perform you analyses to one or two who will spot (hopefully) corresponding to this registry entry. After that, they will give you a registry file that you can download and double-click to merge with your registry. This should solve the problem. We have used to do this free individual support here, but Dell abandoned a year ago.

I wish you luck for any route you choose to take.

    Kind regards
