Clean the installation-update - Martinez P
Hello Martinez
Link to previous thread with you help.
Hoping that you have spotted this - I decided to give the Ko one go.
So far, it took me almost two hours to get to where I am and now I'm completely lost. I came across a few obscure MS 'aid', but this one takes the biscuit. Nothing seemed to happen as described or suggested, but something so I came to this point - 309531 has been a nightmare to finish - add bit.
8. open a folder that has been created not at the present time. You may need to clickDetails on the view menu to see when these folders were created. There may be one or more folders starting with "RP x under this folder." Here are the restore points.
9. open one of these folders to find a subfolder of the snapshot. The following path is an example of a folder path to the snapshot folder:
C:\System Volume \RP1\Snapshot Information\_restore {D86480E3-73EF-47BC-A0EB-A81BE6EE3ED8}
I don't see anything either with RPx under - is the x indicating the number after PR?
I have two folders showing up with a lot of letters/numbers as on the model. In the details of each, they say created 2010-05-11 [5 November] the other 08.11.2010 [today]
It seems that I have to select the first because it was not created at the current time - at the opening of this watch 40 odd PR records, but none have snapshot in the title of the folder. Am I supposed to just choose the one I want? OR maybe RPO or RP46 - some blue some black titles.
Me, I'm at a critical stage and want to ensure that the next steps are correct because it involves the registry - where I'm afraid to walk without expertise - I won't even let these snake oil cleaners near my registry.

My 2 cents - do a custom clean install...
If you can't find the clichés, this means that restore points did not exist on your PC...
They do not exist in one of the paths?
You are in this case out of luck...

System blocks the installation update to stage 11 of 15
I received my new Dell computer, 3 days ago. I turned it on for the 3 time and windows 7 Home Premium, said that an update was available. I clicked on install. I was watching "Please FEED NOT OFF OR UNPLUG YOUR MACHINE." INSTALLATION of UPDATE 11 OF 15 "on the screen for almost an hour now. I have VERIZON FIOS service.
It is interesting to note that I submit this question on my other old Dell computer from 3 day bought at the same time also with 7 Home Premium. The second machine not indicated an update was available.
How long should I wait for this update?
Obviously the system does not respond if his account as long. Try to do for a cold start on hold down on the power button until the power of the system down.
Start your system, run Windows Update again, note the number of KB for each update and go at http://microsoft.com/downloads and download each update and install them individually.

Cannot complete the installation of the update
When you try to run the Installer (update Adobe Reader) an error message is received: "impossible to create the value of the internal"HTML"property object is null or undefined."
Please help.
Hello hp64855529,
Please post on the Adobe forums.
Could you please let me know which version of Adobe Reader you are trying to install and on which version of OS.
Please uninstall it from your computer and then download the installer again (not an update) from the below mentioned link:
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions
Alternatively, you can try using the installer also offline:
Reference: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution
Let me know how it goes.
I hope this will help

Precautions Cryptolocker are blocking the installation of firefox
Due to the current threat of malware Cryptolocker, precautions are in place within our field that prevent the installation/update Firefox, apparently, it's because of the prohibited areas used in windows to extract and install from that location.
Declared unauthorized zones are:
Path: %AppData%\*.exe
Path: %AppData%\*\*.exePath Win XP: %UserProfile%\Local Settings\ * .exe
Win Vista/7/8 path: %LocalAppData%\*.exePath Win XP: %UserProfile%\Local Settings\*\*.exe
Win Vista/7/8 path: %LocalAppData%\*\*.exePath Win XP: %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Temp\Rar*\*.exe
Win Vista/7/8 path: %LocalAppData%\Temp\Rar*\*.exePath Win XP: %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Temp\7z*\*.exe
Win Vista/7/8 path: %LocalAppData%\Temp\7z*\*.exePath Win XP: %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Temp\wz*\*.exe
Win Vista/7/8 path: %LocalAppData%\Temp\wz*\*.exePath Win XP: %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Temp\*.zip\*.exe
Win Vista/7/8 path: %LocalAppData%\Temp\*.zip\*.exeSuggestions for resolution?
Think I came up with my own solution:
- Download the full package from here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
- Create a new folder for me it's Firefox 25 install files
- Open the installer downloaded complete with 7-zip (right click on the file archive opened or 7-Zip in the menu open archive and navigate to where you downloaded the file to open it)
- Extract setup.exe and "Core" file above record made in step 2 (for example Firefox 25 install files)
- Then run setup.exe from the installation of FireFox 25 files.
While I understood this point, someone else in my situation can not find this message or understand it, but it's a method dirty to realize the installation.

Running Windows 7. After Firefox updated to the Version 33 Firefox would not start. Received the message "unable to load XPCOM. Follow the instructions in the forum Firefox to do a clean reinstall. Thanks for your help.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.
- Download the full Firefox installation program and save the file to the desktop
https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/all.html
If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.
- Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.
- Download the full Firefox installation program and save the file to the desktop

Wipe the hard disk, reformatted and did a clean install of OS7 home (fossoyées pro hoping group domain policies and etc. would not be a problem). But they are still there. Reinstalled again. I can't remove the files manually, give me permission. Loading guard who looks like a fake update file, but I can't delete that either. I'm at my wits end. I also have a problem with one of my Outlook email accounts, displaying a string of what looks like a key under my user name. I have dealt with this for 2 months. had my machine to two different local mechanics and nothing. Even exchanged the motherboard and the drive. How's it relate? I do not even use the same key. The only way he could do it is through my network connection. (Disabled Wifi too).
I read something on the Panther Trojan and I do not have a file of Panther on my machine (which again, I can't delete). I didn't even think that HOME version had this kind of remote administration and yet it moves it. Its load of 32-bit strange file and run it on a 64 bit system. I don't know what to do from here. I can't get a version of Windows installed which does not suck up all my processing power and crazy amounts of data transfer. I pulled out an old HP Pav and am now loading XP on it. At least I will be able to view and edit files it contains. I don't think safe, even check my email on this machine. (I use my ipad for that).
Here are the results of the queries from the command line, screenshots and event log shears. Since I was the last reinstall at about 21:00 there are 294 Logon and created special logons. Not to mention that I had an another windows machine and one android corrupt their hooking up to my Dungeon phone. The worst is a 10 years ' worth of my design files holding external drive. Sighhhhhhh...
IM so sick of looking at this. Im going to bed and hopefully not dreaming about it. If someone can tell me how to stop this happening, I would SO appreciate it. Support for Windows is a joke.
I have run 3 different programs of Virus Scan on it, reformat the drive twice (wiped to zero once), and used three different install media (three different versions of Windows. 0 s 7 home, pro and pro OS7 OS10 (7 pro is what I was running when this began).) Again, it is after that I paid two services of different repair to diagnose, pull the wireless network card, replace the motherboard and replace the disk. After that I freaked out on them they began to throw the installation discs and Home keys. lol seriously, I might as well throw my money down a hole. (the key I've finally pulled the machine isn't that I've never owned?) I guess that's why I'm trying so hard to get pure installed, I already so much money in it. I should probably just give up and load Linux.
If I ever get my hands on this bloody trusted installer it is a dead man. Thanks in advance!

I have a new laptop. Loaded Firefox, then had to uninstall. After the new installation, the application does not start. No error messages / reports are generated. I followed the steps in uninstalling; cleaned %AppData%, but also the installation directories. Next step is the registry.
Did you remove the Firefox program folder?

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.
