Clean Windows 7 install on Windows 10 of the disc of the factory

I installed Windows 10, a clean installation, a few months ago. I have discovered that my Acer PC is not compatible with Windows 10. Acer sent me a Windows 7 Home Premium, which I want to put on my PC. My problem is that when I start to follow the instructions to restart & press F12, I wonder a password. I never put a password on that system & cannot access the start menu without one. What can I do about it?

Try the password as password

or leave it blank and press ENTER.

or you need to reset the CMOS chip. You wear it to a computer repair shop so they can help you with that.

  • How can I restore my Acer laptop running windows Vista to the factory specifications?

I was given an Acer Aspire laptop. It is running Windows Vista with 512 MB memory RAM. It has been used and I want to try to restore it to the factory specifications. How can I do this? I tried system restore and it fails every time.

    Hello

you have a very low amount of RAM to run Vista

System Restore should not perform a recovery plant

Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

    https://secure.TX.Acer.com/rcdb/main.aspx?brand=Acer

    ____________________________________________________________

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

Acer is usually press Alt + F10 at startup to start the recovery process or through the Acer eRecovery Management under all programs

  • Help! I can't recover my windows xp to the factory computer with the restore disc

I want to reinstall windows xp on my hp pavilion m7463w computer. However I am not sure that I can that my motherboard failed and I bought one from another company to replace. How can I solve my problem as it is the only operating system I have for the computer. Help, please!

    Thank you.

You will not be able to use the disks to restore this computer because the defective Board you thrown had a tattoo to warn the disks that the MB was the original material. The disks now think you are trying to install windows on another computer. Which, technically, you are.

To solve this problem you will need to either:

    (A) order the systemboard directly from hp if available

    (B) a copy of the operating system you want to install the retail

  • Firefox can not be updated and do not be installed (no action after unpacking the file or the program update)

    Hi all

I was unable to update Firefox since Version 17.0, each update attempt failed. The automatic update feature still reported that the update has been without success/failure, then download the new version of Firefox and then try to install it simply leads to inaction after unpacking (running the file). Now, I tried to address this problem by uninstalling firefox and then install the new browser. However, I'm back to where I was decompresses the file and then nothing happens. I am very frustrated as I like the browser and I can't use it anymore. Before, Version 17.0 worked well for me, I simply couldn't be updated. I checked my firewall (windows) and my anti-virus (avast free) program and the program is not blocked, so I simply do not know why I can not update and (re-) install. I would appreciate any solution

Disconnect for security. Use the SafeMode clean Windows, but from the F8 key. See if you can install Firefox.

I wonder if somehow, security software is always blocking the installation. Consider temporarily uninstall if necessary security software. No doubt other .exe files run (or I doubt you could do a lot with the computer) and this isn't a problem with file associations have been corrupted.

  • Service Pack 1 will not install after that the pc has been reset to the factory settings

At my pc reset due to problems of crashing and freezing factory settings, when turned on after resetting received masses of updates Service Pack 1 has not been installed, but it shows in the story as being successful. He reappears in the form of waiting for update installation, but when the terms & Condtions accepted the installation takes a few seconds, history shows successful but it has not yet installed. So I can't install SP2 to update Internet Explorer 9

    Hello.

Thanks for the reply. I found a previous question with a similar problem as mine, there was a solution that I followed and was able to install SP1. I should have done this before my question!
I also installed SP2. Resetting to the factory settings was a last resort due to a problem I was experiencing, but after installation of SP2 my original problem reappears. The problem is now in terminal phase and looks like a new pc.
In any case, once again thanks for your help, I know where to go with future questions I have.

The drivers are updated, ive tried reinstalling them, fitness again with windows, playing with the bios but it is very limited with what you can do. I was going to attempt to reinstall the factory windows version 8, but I can't know exactly how do.

If I go to playback devices, he thinks it works. the sound bar changes when I play something but no sound.

It is intel audio device (WDM) OSH if this is useful.

you have any ideas how I can fix these problems?

    Thank you

Go to Device Manager > view > show hidden devices. If you have other devices > IWD Aud-Device_6, uninstall it. Then restart your system. Go to Acer supports downloads of drivers for your model. Download Realtek Audio Platform Installer from pilots and quick access. Install Reltek and then restart the system. Install quick access, then restart. Finally install the drivers for the platform. Restart and you should have sound.

  • Cannot install clean Windows 8.1 get pick up the product key from the BIOS

I have Acer S3-391 with a pre-installed 8 Win. First, I thought that I would like to downgrade to Win 7 Pro as I am used to Win 7. So, I

remove the recovery partition from Acer Windows 8 on my hard drive and installed Win 7 Pro (with my own product key) on this subject. Also, I've updated to version 2.17 UEFI BIOS.

Now I decided to reinstall Win 8 on my laptop, but I am running into a problem:

As I deleted the original recovery partition which included all the bloatware is it came with, I use a Windows 8.1 cleaning ISO image trasnferred a FAT32 formatted USB flash drive. It's actually an ISO Windows 8.1 Professional, but I added the file 'ei.cfg' "basic" settings and "OEM" inside. So he installed a clean Windows 8.1 with UEFI BIOS setting, but it will not pick up a product key from the UEFI BIOS. It assigns a generic key and I can't activate it with Microsoft.

Any suggestions to make it meet on the embeded BIOS product key without ordering a recovery DVD set for $45 at Acer?

    Thank you.

You're right, it comes with 8.0 OEM. Last night, I found Win 8.0 ISO, modified with the folder $ $OEM and activated!

I can't install the update for Windows vista (KB2718704), a mode without failure or after clean window reboot.

    What should I do?

    Hello

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Method 4: Follow the steps in the article.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

You cannot install some programs or updates

Note: You must take the backup of the data before performing any installation of windows.

  • Clean Windows 7 install?

Is there any harm if I did a clean install of windows 7 on my hp laptop?
This would include delete partitions from HP RESTORE and RECOVERY... I was wondering if my laptop would normally be without all the HP tools that come preinstalled? I mean, windows update would get all the necessary drivers for the hardware is working properly, no?
I have windows 7 Home premium installed and I would like to replace it with ultimate.

Copy your folder sw on a dvd, it has all the drivers, but when even your ultimate windows is on a dvd separate unless you have the right key of microsoft you can not activate final... especially if its a upgrade disk... I know it will let you clean install but activation could give you problems... but I think that if you put your dvd ultimate during the initialization of your current version and choose clean install that it will work, but you might keep the recovery partition and hp tools partition then... but in all cases, make sure you create your first recovery discs that way if a problem occurs , you can but your laptop back to the factory

  • Installing Windows 7 x 64 Professional SP1 - clean - Windows Update does not work

I installed a new drive and thought it would be good to spend my old data to the new. as the SMART ones showed count of offshoring. And the SATA interface is a little older.

I installed a clean copy on the new disk (disconnected one for the process, so I don't have the bootloader and all that things).

I started to install all the software I ususally use. I also went into the control panel and run the Windows Update tool to search for updates.

Unfortunately, he sjowed I have no update.

I checked in different positions and I tried:

-updates affecting various parameters - did not work

-try windowsupdate.com - did not work

-tried the MsFixIt for Windows Update - did not work

-Downloaded the Windows Update Setup program and tried to install it (it sort of the attempted to install but showed just a process bar work)-did not work

-a tried to update Windows after restart. -still not working

And now im lost what could be the problem. I turned off any application that could attempt to block my connection (dough im don't know if one of them would both need).
I don't know why but my Windows Update starts just not updated.

  • Clean Windows 7 install then go to Windows 10. In any case to jump 7?

    Hey guys,.

I have a couple of years Dell desktop with Windows 7.  The hard drive has failed a few weeks ago.  I bought a new hard drive and I have oem Windows 7 disc.  I want to finish finally with windows 10.

What I have to do a clean install of 7 the new disk first, then upgrade to 10 or is there a way around it?

If I do the clean install I have to go through all the Win7 updates or can I just go straight to the Win10 upgrade once I get the machine?

Just try to save time if possible.

  • Sales of portable computers: clean Windows OS install - no disks?

    Hey there-

I looked for the knockout, but I couldn't find an answer to that particular question. most people want to reinstall their operating system on a laptop computer that they will keep. Mine is OLD and will be sold/given.

I need to clean and (good manners!) and then reinstall the operating system on some old laptops for resale / donation.

None of these laptops came with an OS disk.

    Can anyone tell better options?

Do I have to buy the Windows operating system to install on both (which would be a brake...)?

Can I download a version somewhere and do a reinstall drive?

Is there a way to clean / reinstall these laptops with existing Windows accessories that are part of the laptop?

Please note: these will have to be 'cleaned' first they will go to foreigners :)

    Thank you very much!

PS Sorry if it is categorized properly and please let me know if I should post elsewhere :) jl

  • Can I activate a clean Windows 7 install when I had originally a HP of Windows 7 installation?

I have a HP Pavilion Elite comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit installed.  I recently bought a 120 GB SSD and wanted to install the programs on the SSD and Windows 7 and use the old 1 TB of HARD drive for storage.  Rather than clone my old HARD drive I decided to try a clean install of Windows 7 on the SSD.  When I tried to do it via the recovery DVD I had done, I received an error message indicating that I could not do a Windows 7 recovery facility because the disc was smaller that the Windows drive has been installed originally on.  To work around this problem, I downloaded an ISO of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit official and he has engraved on a DVD.  Then I used Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to find my original Windows 7 key and proceeded to do a clean install of Windows 7 on my SSD.  When it came time to enter my product key, my key is not accepted.  I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit installed on my SSD but I can't activate it and I am short on time.  I would be able to activate Windows 7 with key of my install original HP or I'm done here?  Is it possible that I can use the recovery of my original Windows 7 installation DVD to install it on my SSD and avoid this problem?  Thanks for any advice.

Have you tried to activate using the key on your COA sticker?
