Click on Firefox stopped opening tabs on mousewheel

Browser worked perfectly, and then in the middle of the browsing session it would not react to mousewheel clicks that were able to open tabs previously. Doesn't seem to be a problem with the mouse, because I can still use it to do the same in chrome, FF and IExplorer, it goes into fast-forward mode.
Tried to reinstall, but did not want to uninstall and reinstall fearing loss of addons...

Topic: config says

True Browser.Tabs.opentabfor.middleclick
middlemouse.contentLoadURL; false
middlemouse.openNewWindow; true
middlemouse. Paste; false
middlemouse.scrollbarPosition; false

It is the addition of Greasemonkey. Disable it.
