All USB keys to start correctly on my computer desktop and even with my other laptop.

I don't know what is the problem here, but it turns out that it is certainly possible to boot from the memory stick bootable USB flash.

Many users have been abele to boot from the memory stick USB external flash, but it is necessary to disable the secure in the BIOS boot option.
Also if you want to install an unsupported UEFI system, the boot mode must be changed of UEFI in the CSM.

  • Satellite 4070CDT: gives a 'click', but it does not start

    Dear Sir

When I start my laptop, the laptop gives a kind of 'click', but it starts. The only thing I can see on the laptop is that LEDS are green (ok) and when I push the power button, leds are all green as he wants to starts, but then only the light flickers up and down - ORANGE. I found the user manual using the "Toshiba user manuals" link on the support Download Center page & and the manual says that the problem should be the battery/power supply. BUT

-When I pull the battery in my 4030CDT, all right, with the same power supply.
-J' also tried with other HARD drives and without, same result
-replace ram 4030CDT work and only with 64 MB onboard, same result
-deconnecting floppy drive (where the click seems to come), same result

If it is possible to provide me with assistance, it is already 3 months that I'm looking to solve the problem. My 4030CDT had the same thing a time ago, but now works fine, I did nothing about it. But I lose hope that to happen...

Neither this fact, it is the fourth toshiba that I work with, and it is a pleasure to work with these laptops robust and stable. I advise them to everyone and hope that someone can find a solution to my problem. If I can keep going using my computer laptop nice oldskool.

    Hello

On this path, it is really not easy to give any concrete explanation. It is possible that this click comes from FDD. When the FDD is set as first boot device it is logical that the FDD want start and check if the disk is inside. Otherwise, it is just a click away and tries to boot from a device set following.

Please carefully check the power LED and do not forget, if the LED gives a flashing code (intervals short and long turn signals). If so, there is a serious problem of electronic and technicians, you must visit.

What is with power LED? Is there a any reaction?

  • Thunderbird Setup does not start by double clicking on

    Downloaded Setup for Thunderbird 31.4.0
Double-click the installer does not start the installation program (even if a process is created as seen in Task Manager).
The reason for downloading the installation program has been that the automatic update failed to 31.3.0 and asked me to download the installer.

    Platform: Windows 8.1

I tried as admin and also disabling the AV/Firewall.

A reboot solved the problem and I was able to run the installer and install 31.4.0 after the restart. However there is a thunderbird called "Software Update" window that displays a progress bar and says "Download update" & "Connecting to the update server" - but it seems to be stuck there forever.

I killed the process of updating the software and the system now seems to be at peace.

    Thanks for the help!

  • CS LR6 of CS LR5 update does not start

Hi, I have just install CS LR6 by buying the upgrade. Everything seems fine with the process (from download to install), but LR6 does not start when I click on it.

I've only had this open window: '

    Capture d’écran 2015-04-21 à 22.04.57.png

Translated, that means, there is a problem with my setup (I don't think while I used LR fair, 5 five minutes ago no problem) and that I should try to uninstall and reinstall... I can't uninstall uninstall link is too broken.

    Any help would be welcome.

    Stone

OK got it working, but I had to delete all the files Adobe virtually any Mac application, kept only some newspapers (I thought it can't hurt and I'm tired of this mess) and then do a clean installation/configuration in this order:

-Install the creative cloud with the CreativeCloudInstaller.dmg downloaded from Adobe

-Disconnect of the CC of the preferences panel and leave CC (after a while of waiting for the "Exit" option to be available on the menu, don't know why).

-Install Ligthroom 6 LS11 my purchase of upgrade .dmg Installer and download.

-Launch LR and follow this way to serialized: using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom | Serialize Lightroom trial to activate like Lightroom 6 CC

Now, I have to install PS CS6 back and all my plugins and settings.

If you need to do to, be sure to have backups secure (several).

This solution is really the only one that worked for me, because I think I've tried almost everything I see here (reconnection of the CC, restart, reinstall, delete files, give rights to libraries and so on).

For the moment, everything is fine (I have no time to seek more internal LR6 bugs) and I got the standalone version works even without connection internet (I tried).

  • FF does not start yesterday; running Linux Mint 14 in VirtualBox; updated to 39.03

Since yesterday, Firefox does not start when I click the icon. There seems to be some activity, but the window never opens.

I use the version of Linux Mint 14 in Virtual Box.

In the terminal, I tried firefox-safe-mode

    I get:
"Error: platform version ' 39.0.3 ' is not compatible with
    minVersion > = 39.0
    maxVersion < = 39.0

I would appreciate help with this.

PS Since I can't start Firefox data below is not the version I have the problem with.

This is the latest information that I could find on the version of hotfix for your version of Linux:

I understand that Firefox will not start, please also see these troubleshooting steps:

  • When you start firefox, pop-up screen wishes to leave firefox to make changes on the hard disk on the computer. I must say yes, or firefox does not start. Next time.

Is this a problem of firexfox, or something is wrong with my drive? I don't have this problem when you use IE or Opera, Firefox only. I have to let Firefox to make changes to my hard drive, or it does not start. Once I click on Yes, Firefox works. However, when I close Firefox and try to open it again, the thing is repeated with msg popup to change the hard drive...

Make sure that Firefox is not set to run as administrator.

Right click on the desktop Firefox shortcut and choose "Properties".

Make sure that all items are disabled in the tab "Compatibility" in the Properties window.

    • Privilege level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
    • "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" must not be selected

Also check the firefox.exe program properties in the program Firefox (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) folder.

  • Firefox does not start until the wifi is active

I'm trying to use the latest firefox (v32) on Debian/testing/64-bit by using the 64-bit version of FF... This machine is a laptop and is used only with wifi. The wifi that is usually used is a Starbucks or McDonald's who require a click on a Web page before the connection is enabled... When I start FF to be able to select this check box, it does not start. a look at the ps - xua shows firefox as a zombie/missing process... How I work around this, is to use Google Chrome to shoot to the top of the Web page, click on the box, then almost immediately the instance FF I tried to launch rises... If I clicked on the icon of the FF once more, I get more window a FF... It seems that FF needs a pipe open to internet before it will start. I prefer FF on Chrome, but if I have to use Chrome to "Kick-start" FF, I might as well delete FF and just use Chrome... Any ideas?

UH... This problem occurs on Linux... It IS not IE (thank God)... The proxy on FF and Chrome settings are identical, namely NO proxy configured...

I've come up with a workaround.. Switched out the Linux drive with my pretty unused Windows 7 disk.. Where this problem with Firefox doesn't occur.. I'll check back in a few months with FF on Linux and see if one of the endless "updates" has magically fixed this problem.. Thank you for the help anyway..

  • Firefox does not start, no error message, only works in the background

I click on Firefox it does not start
no error message it does not start
It works in the background in 32-bit
I have re installed it but nothing changes

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    See:

  • Firefox does not start (not safe mode), but uses the CPU

I have the latest Firefox 25.0 (and the last Flash 11.9.900.117) on Windows 7 and the following behavior is reproducible. It started not too long ago.

At first when I launch Firefox, nothing appears no matter how often, I restart. I see in the list of the process firefox.exe to 25% of the CPU, 2 x FlashPlayerPlugin_11_9_900_117.exe (CPU 0%) and plugincontainer.exe. No matter how many times I killed all of them, would not restart Firefox.

The following also not help in this situation:

    • Starting in normal safe mode: Firefox opens a window but immediately freezes and does not respond. The process list shows the same process even if I find the unexpected FlashPlayer.
    • Disable plugincontainer: same results (just without plugincontainer.exe)
    • Uninstall Flash: Same results (just without FlashPlayerPlugin)

The following can start Firefox only once:

    • Starting in SafeMode but select "Reset Firefox": Firefox does not start right away, however. Nothing happens, and you have to kill the process. However the very next time you launch Firefox in the normal way, it works fine (but it shows FlashPlayerPlugin.exe in the list of unopened Windows process despite the tab). Unfortunately, after closing Firefox the process (Firefox, FlashPlayerPlugin) are not deleted. I kill and the problem with Firefox do not leave reappears.

In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not delete Cookies

Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

Use "Firefox > output" (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing by clicking on the X close in the title bar of Firefox.

Create a new profile manually (and not via the reset) as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

I tried to remove the program entirely (as well as personal preferences), to create a new account, install a different browser versions. All this has not helped. (I have Windows 7). Help, please! Every day I have to reinstall Firefox!

Hello Nastena, try a clean reinstall, some Firefox issues can be resolved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you Remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).

A two week ago that Safari does not start at all on my Mac-, it remains open for less than a second and then crashes (farm). It remains not open long enough for me to go on Safari > Preferences to check the settings.

When I run the Mac to the guest account works in Safari.

Unknown adware can cause this kind of problem.

    Try to remove it.

  • Recovery partition is there but does not start Recovery

    Hello

When you try to restore the image (F11 at startup), the laptop seems to be as he tries to start missing Windows installation (Windows Boot Manager error page).

Partitions 'SYSTEM', 'HP_RECOVERY' and 'HP_TOOLS' have not been affected. Recovery files of ~ 15 GB are still there!

The Windows (2nd primary) partition was deleted and then recreated as an NTFS partition. Since then, the recovery process does not start.

How can I restore my intact HP_RECOVERY partition system without using recovery DVD? (I can't access right now.)

The partition Windows has need of a specific disk label? What is the magic that breaks the recovery when an NTFS partition is all simply deleted and then re-created?

    Peter

    HP ProBook 6550 b (WD701EA #ABD)

Solution: How to fix F11 penetrates is not in the Recovery Manager process

    You will need:

-This fix by HP: difficulty to the Multi-partition HP Recovery Manager (the ProBook 6550 b is not listed as a supported model, but it worked for me)

-installation of Windows (see partial solution above) a job to install the fix on your ProBook

    or

-sufficient knowledge to extract the winre.wim missing the fix above, copy it to your recovery partition and to apply any measures necessary (I did this)

    Steps to follow:

-in your work on your ProBook Windows installation open the file downloaded "sp48415.exe".

-the files will be extracted in "C:\swsetup\SP48415", open this folder in Explorer

-Right click on "F11SPFix.cmd" and run as administrator

    -the patch will be applied

Restart und press F11 at startup to enter your recovery Manager (hopefully) fixed.
