  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

  Please open Firefox in Mode safe mode and see if the problem persists. You can start Firefox in Mode safe directly by holding down the SHIFT key when you open Firefox.

  Click on the button "start mode safe." NOT the button "Reset".

  The problems of Firefox in Mode safe

  If the problem does not occur in Mode without failure, then exit safe mode, and then continue by following the instructions to identify the control or the module that is causing the problem. I would like to start by disabling hardware acceleration to see if this is the cause.

  If the problem does not occur in Mode safe then I suggest to do a Reset of Firefox. This will return Firefox to its default settings. You personal information will be saved (bookmarks, etc.), but you will need to reinstall your add-ons.

• Impossible to uninstall and cannot use the minmise/maximize/exit buttons

  I can't use the high minmise/maximize/exit buttons on the right, so I reset FF on the troubleshooting page. That didn't work so I thought I would try a new new download. I think that it is better to uninstall the existing version first so I went to Control Panel/Add & remove but when I type remove flashes and does nothing else i.e. without uninstalling. I tried to go through my computer and programs, but clicking the uninstall wizard does nothing. Grateful for any help.

  Try a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a new copy of Firefox.

  I saw the screen shot, I think that Aero is disabled, or the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service is disabled or stopped. Try to run the troubleshooter 'display the Aero effects. " And when firstly, you had the drivers that do NOT support Aero and then updates, Windows does NOT automatically update the settings. You must recaulculate the computer for Aero Performance Index is enabled.

  Lightroom has these buttons, I think remember me them when I started using lightroom cc. I must have cleverly done something to remove.

  Could you confirm that Firefox is not full screen mode? The F11 key toggles between regular views and full screen modes.

  You have customized your Windows XP theme? Firefox is perhaps not fully compatible with it. If you hover your mouse over the area where these buttons appear normally, should behave as if they are invisible, but working buttons there?

• I can't move the firefox window, or use the reduce/close/maximize buttons. I have no addons

  I'm on windows 8.1, and firefox worked fine yesterday. Today I can't move the window, reduce, enlarge and close without end of tasks, tried refreshing, reinstall. Still nothing. The only addon I ever is adblock and when retired that didn't fix it either.

  In fact it started randomly... I guess that I threatened it enough...

  Maybe it was a problem with hardware acceleration and your graphics drivers in the meantime got updated through windows update...

  Read the bug report, it's only a problem with the software in version beta. The final version does not suffer from this problem.

  1 are you referring to any specific application?

  2. the problem occurs with all windows or any particular window?

  I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps:

  Method 1: No matter what shortcut you use to launch the window, right-click and select Properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down list, choose "expanded".

  Method 2: Also try to grab the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen.  Do not use Maximize. First close all other windows via the taskbar and this last one. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.
