CM755A: HP 8500 has CM755A won't fax redial

The printer powers on and says "fax failed", then "Reminder in 0 seconds" and then to perform print head cleaning time and again.  I can't access all the menus.  Is there than a reset, we do start?  I tried holding # and # 6 and 9, home and back, and almost every other combination of buttons I could find / think of and so far nothing has worked.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Solved the problem.  I had connect the computer to a phone line active and continuously call the line again and again until he gave me the opportunity to answer the call.  From there on, I was able to cancel and go to the main menu.  Reset the printer by default and all removed OK.

I spend a month trying to solve this problem.  Wireless printing, documents hang in the queue and print ever.  When informed of the printer is cycled off the power then, the documents are printed wireless, but only for a temporary period of indefinite duration.  The next time I use the computer, the problem repeats.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times.  Running printing HP and Scan doctor says all right.  It is not.  Your expertise is appreciated.

The problem has been resolved by replacing the ink cartridges non HP with geniune HP cartridges.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 has more: document scanning

Several pages to the computer and save it as a file, but now he won't, until Apple upgrades my Officejet Pro 8500 has more opportunity to scan the whole of a scan of the page at a time.

How to scan a document of several pages under the name of a file?

    Hi @Pinnacleport,

I read your post and to see that since the upgrade to El Capitan, you are no longer able to scan several copies of a file. I will do my best to help you with this problem. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

I checked the site and the drivers are installed by the Mac drivers preinstalled. HP printers - installing a printer driver Mac using Apple Software Update.

Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Officejet Pro 8500 has more)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

What application are you using to scan with?

The only way you can save several pages in a single file is in PDF format. JPEG and other formats will save multiple documents as separate pages. In the printing and scanning window, select PDF and check combine in one document below.

I hope this helps. If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 has ceased to print after update firmware for LRP1FN1231AR

I've updated the firmware in my work perfectly 8500 has and now the printer will not finish a print job after few minutes of no activity.  The fax is the same thing.  This all started AFTER the firmware upgrade completed successfully!  Now I'm stuck with an anchor of a printer.  Looks like it prints print and fax jobs in the buffer if I open and close the door of ink cartrage.  The unit currently cartrages to ink HP not installed and those that have been installed at the time of the upgrade.  I got a message warrning that using ink not HP may void the warranty.  Is it a time bomb that HP put in the new firmware to cause me to have to return a new printer?  All possible solutions?

I installed an old set of "Genuine" HP cartrages that have been spent and the printer seems to work now.  I stayed alive all night without the message "printing" terminal hidious.  Very disappointed that the update didn't warn me on this subject and now I need to buy all the new ink cartrages.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500 a: 8500 has will not stop printing

immediately after setting up and installation of my 8500 it began printing a page with only the fraction 1/4 and a smiling face in the very top left of the page and that's all it prints, one after the other, again and again, and do not stop. If I have to cancel the printing of the touch screen, it stops the current print but restarts printing again shortly after.

I sent a test page (page has shown in print queue), but I won't stop printing the page of fraction and smiley face.  the work queued print ever.

There is no error before, after or during the printing of this page.

Welcome to the HP community @gemini570,

I understand your Officejet 8500 has constantly prints a page with a smiling face in the upper left corner, and I wanted to respond to try to help.

Please, start by connecting your PC to the print and scan doctor and choose "print trouble." This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

You can also check to see if you have Web Services enabled on the front of the printer and try to turn it off to see if the pages stop printing on.

If the above don't help, try to uninstall the printer software , restart the computer and run the HP printer install Windows Wizard to install the printer.

Another idea that comes to mind, would be to try stop and start the print spooler:

    1. click on start
    2. type 'Services' in the search field.
    3. open SERVICES
    4. at the bottom, click "extended view.
    5. search for the print spooler
    6. right click and choose Properties
    7. Select Automatic from the drop-down list, close the window
    8. right-click Print Spooler and select 'Stop', wait until it stops and then again right click and 'Start '.
    9. close out Services and try your print.

Testify of my answer by hitting the thumbs up below and press the button "accept as Solution" if I have you helped a resolution!

    I hope this helps you!

  • HP 8500 has more scan not scan - I hear a fast spin and the book will not draw in the charger

HP 8500 has more scan not scan - I hear a fast spin and the book will not draw in the charger. I tried a reboot, including disconnect the motor from the power analysis. A software update was just pushed through today as well, but the problem with the scanner was before this update. This update took place after the power has been turned off, then on again.

The problem occurred this morning during a prior scan + back. I heard a click or pop/fast spin, something that indicates something was wrong, when he tried to feed on the 1st backsheet through for the scan of the back. Now, it won't take what anyone, even to make a copy using the feeder.

When I look at the roll holder bar above paper, I noticed that it does not drop down to make contact with the paper he move to the scanner itself. I remember having this problem once before - there are 2 years, while the warranty was still in effect and does not remember how it was resolved.

Any suggestions would be welcome. I don't want to buy another printer just to get the scanner to feed again. The printer itself is fine and scan from the bed is not affected.

For anyone interested, I sloved the problem of roller scanner do not push the paper into the ADF.

I turned off the printer last night. Today, I removed the power cable at the back of the printer and then unplugged the power cord from the wall. It was off for about 30 minutes. I reconnect the cable to the printer and the wall, the printer running and waited about 10 minutes. So tired the charger scanner again. It worked and I don't know why.

Yesterday, I tried a version of what I found in the documentation for HP support. He said to do, but not to turn the printer off first. He has not worked for me.

I don't know if my path has really had no effect on the results, but it works now and I don't have to think about buying a new printer for awhile yet. I like this idea!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 has v. 8500 has more

Is could someone please tell me what are the differences between these two models? I checked the plug., and all I can find is a difference of RAM (64 MB c. 128 MB); is there something else, and the difference of memory will affect the print quality?

I'm a home user of low volume and so the printing speed is not a problem, but sometimes I wish photo quality prints.

    Thank you.

8500 a base unit has a touchscreen, 2.3 "while the 8500 has more unit has a 4.3 touch screen". The base unit has a scan to send an email and Fax to send e-mail ability, in the ADF duplex printing, scan legal-size glass.

Regarding the print quality, both printers will have the same print quality, both use the same print mechanism, ink cartridges and print heads.

PS: The difference of memory does not affect print quality. But the base unit can take a little more time to make printing with many pages, the pages are stored in the memory when printing.

  • Ofice jet pro 8500 has more: officejet pro 8500 printing in BLACK when a color is out.how t usually do print in black only?

8500 will not print in black only when one color is out. How to print in black. I tried to reset the color management to just black but it still won't print. the page is coming from my asus laptop wireless

The Officejet 8500 has individual inks with separate printheads and "plumbing" to connect.  It requires ink in all colors to keep the plumbing for all air and/or damage the printheads.

Not the answer you want to hear, but you will need to replace the depleted cartridges.

The here document contains information on how the ink is used, in the terminology of this page the Officejet 8500 is an IIC printer.

  • OJ Pro 8500 has more printer Assistant has disappeared.

    OfficeJet Pro 8500 has more.

The Printer Wizard utility is missing. The utility that allows me to edit speedlist fax, scan a document, monitor levels of ink etc.

The menu screen is there, but by clicking on the printer choice wizard has no effect. I tried to uninstall the printer and reinstall anything will do. I searched the installation CD and cannot find anything here to install it.

I can scan a document by clicking on the icon of the separate scanner, but I used to have this choice as well as fax etc. by clicking on the icon OJ Pro. I can't find a way to edit the list of short codes other than on the Panel fax printer.

    Any ideas?

furnone, I would make sure that the printer is completely removed from your computer first. This is to remove the printer from programs and features, the Manager of peripherals and devices and printers. Then, restart the computer and install the complete software (link below).

    http://goo.GL/umIGZ

I also recommend to delete all the files in your temporary folder, you can access it will RUN and typing "%Temp%" and pressing ENTER. Some files you do not remove them, ignore these files.

I would like to know how it goes!

  • HP OfficeJet 8500 has more 910 g give up connection every now and then

I explored the forums for 8500 more connectivity issues and did the following, but the problem persists:

I am using the Wi - Fi connection (force 4), web update services and software packages, can use eprint, but printer loses connection (even with eprint servers). I have it set to fax so phone line is connected and noticed that when a call arrives (or goes), it restores the network connection. It seems that he loses the connection when it starts in mode 'sleep'. Is there a way to disable, and then do a test?

I noticed that first print wirelessly from a laptop computer crashes and comes back with an error (sometimes work after a long time), but the second try and then work (it seems that the first test is trying to put the printer back to the mode 'sleep'!)

I have the static IP assigned (in both the printer and the router) and static DNS primary.

I have IP v4 ONLY on the printer.

What can be done? Help, please. The printer is only a few days old!

I finally realized that you can go to the 'Préférences' menu on the touch screen and disable the "power saving Mode" - this apperently solved the "problem of loss of connection" (with static IP/DNS and IP v4 only)- but the screen was continually WE (and quite brilliant - more than a lamp at night!). I also found that there is an option under "Tools" screen saver But the screensaver works just the video "promo" continuously without interruption and with the same brightness on the screen. Is it possible to say 'black' after 10 minutes?

Perhaps HP should provide a screen saver that turns off the display after a period of inactivity.

APPARENTLY, THE LOSS OF CONNECTION BUG IS DUE TO "ENTERGY SAVE MODE" WHERE THE WIRELESS LAN CANNOT DETECT TRAFFIC TO WAKE UP THE PRINTER. THIS SHOULD ALSO BE FIXED IN THE NEXT FIRMWARE.

To SUMMARIZE: In order to avoid the 'loss of connection"(for wireless) perform the following steps:

1 assign a static primary DNS and static IP address (through EWS doing via a browser is easier - see below on access EWS).

    2. optional but recommended: connect the printer wireless MAC address to the same static IP address in the configuration of the router (router consult manual or vendor on how to do this).

    3. via the integrated Web server accessed through a browser of computer - under 'Network' settings, select 'IP v4 ONLY' (EWS is accessed through a browser on the same wireless LAN by typing http://192.168.1.xxx - where xxx is the IP address assigned statically - you can find it via touching the wireless icon on the screen in the printer)

    4. go in the 'preferences' and disable the "power saving Mode" (in the touch screen of the printer interface)

    5. optional but highly recommended: turn on the "screen saver" in the "Tools" menu (in the touch screen of the printer interface)

6 see if it the problem slves (mine is running fine since then)

These steps are for HP Office Jet 8500 has more 910 g printer. I hope it helps someone here!
