  I am facing a problem with the text appearance options in the button properties.  I can change the color of the border and fill color, but no matter what I do with the size of the font or the color of the text-, it will not take my changes.  When I close the edit form, what I see is an empty box.  The button is there that I applied a border, but the text does not appear. It is stuck on the white police, I guess.  Any suggestions on how to get the text changes to apply?

  When I get to my Inbox and select an e-mail to open the middle box and the text box below do not match the selection in the object column. This has occurred recently and only on my laptop. My office works fine. The central area and the text matching, this email has been deleted but the text won't just change and go.   Hi, we are experiencing a strange behavior with some Illustrator files. Can't seem to understand what is the cause. We use CS4, but previously used CS3.

  
  What is happening is that we are unable to see the text selections. We can drag to select text, but there is no implementation of highlighting or other visual clue to see that it is indeed selected. But we can make changes and modifications as usual, so it is indeed selected.

  However, I can copy the text box into a new document, and it works as expected.

  I wonder if this might be a feature of one of your extensions. You can see their and disable/remove those that are not essential or unrecognized, here:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  The provided article shows how to disable behaviors of browser default using JavaScript, especially the preventDefault method available on each key event.

  You should be able to disable text selection, if you copy the following into your page JavaScript code.

  document.addEventListener("touchstart", function(e) { e.preventDefault(); }, false);
  document.addEventListener("touchmove", function(e) { e.preventDefault(); }, false);
  

  Note: This will also disable other behaviors that you might not for your application - or you can (for example the code snippet above will disable also pinch in the zoom and scroll.)

• Problem of text selection in the text field for entry in the emulator

  I'm having a problem of text selection in a text field when I run my application in the emulator Playbook. Let me see if I can expose the problem here:

  1. The field in question is a classic text, text with an integrated in police entry field. The domain is in a SWC and referenced in another FILE.
  2. The code is set up such that when a user clicks the field function is called to highlight all the text. The code is more or less as follows:

  The problem I'm having is that when I try clicking on the emulator, the text field in 'domain' is sometimes selected as expected, sometimes not. When the text is not selected as expected the cursor always appears in the field and the Playbook keyboard slides up by below. What is particularly problematic, that's what often happens, is that the whole scene moves upward on 10px when it is clicked on the ground. If I try to click on the same ground once again, another change to the top of 10px or so, etc..

  So why the text not properly selected and why the scene evolves upwards?

  I realize that more information may be required from me to correctly solve this problem, but if someone has all understand why this may be the case, I would be happy to learn from him.

  I can answer the question of displacement.  This is a bug in BB and supposed to be fixed in version «next» SDK

  The question of the selection, I'll guess has to do with the fileld with focus, selection is not possible.  Try to set the focus outside of maybe the text field?

  I created a PlayBook application using WebWorks, HTML and CSS and the app offers a great HTML textarea. For some reason, the user cannot select text to copy or paste text in.

  Is there something special that needs to be done to enable text selection? I checked my code and see nothing that prohibits text selection.

• The notebook is not pure text

  I use Windows 7 and it recently started that going on, don't know how or why.

  I go into a folder, right-click--> 'New'--> 'text Document '.

  This creates the typical 'New document texte.txt' file empty.

  If I double click on this new file to edit and add text, Notepad will open with a blank Word document as expected

  However, when I start typing the text - it is unreadable symbols.  Not pure text.

  I found that if I'll come and save the file (even if I can't read what I typed in fact) and then right click on the file, select 'Open with', and choose Wordpad - the file opens and is readable.

  All my files from previous pure text which were unformated and created, edited, saved, and I used to open it in Notepad, now open in Notepad as formatted, unreadable symbols.

  The file name extension is .txt.  Windows is configured to use default Notepad to open .txt files.

  When I go to Notepad and select "save under...". ", save it as a default type, 'Documents text (*.txt)' and the encoding is defaulting to the ANSI format.

  I want the notebook to be pure ascii text not formatted again.
  Any help solving this would be appreciated.

  This is possibly due to a missing font and Windows uses a font substitution. Don't change the font in the work of Notepad (to something like Ariel, Times New Roman - for test purposes)?

  I was fussing around with preferences in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (Mac version) and off the selected text color when the text selection. I don't know what preference I changed and can't seem to find a second time to restore the color of text selection. Usually, in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, when the selection of text (note: NOT the text stressing the function), AAP XI has a color to the selected text.  This preference restaurantrare the saltsummer color of the text when you use the selection tool i-beam appearing to the left of the hand tool?

  I'm trying to select text in the application window. Currently, I'm trying to browse a few found texts and then after the change is made visually review the changes.

  What I can't understand is how to get the application to focus on selection when its generated through the ARE? To specify if you do a search with the graphical interface (ctrl + f) and change find it that: field in the user interface, and then click next application will select the text found and Center the window around this selection.

  Line 04 point I would like to require the selection to appear in the InDesign window.

  Text objects have a method called showText() which is done exactly as described above - don't know how I missed it.

  You can do that from within flash pro.  You can edit your js file to include the html text.

  In my code, I put the interactionManager to allow editing of the text.

  When I move my mouse over the text I get the text insertion cursor, I can click to drag select text, right-click to get the relevant context menu ("select all" etc.). When I move my mouse in the empty box to the right of the text "Line two", you get no text caret cursor, the limits of the TextLine simply do not extend in this area so that the context menu 'Edit' is not applied.

  This makes very clumsy text selection, now you need to find the 1-pixel wide point after the last character first select all of the previous text.

  Has something changed recently?

  Not that I know of.  It is not duplicated in our tests.

  TLF is based on transparent background of drawing in the Sprite.graphics.  You are clearing that?

  Firefox does not display text on some web sites, all I get are |, <>of arrows, points etc and yet I can see very well in Chrome or IE pages. IV removed my FF, disabled theme Add ons and check if everything is updated and still nothing.

  Its really annoying, the main site, I have a problem with is http://www.three.co.uk but I just discovered this site well http://css-plus.com/examples/plugins/PlusSlider/ there has been others in the past, but I just ignored it for a while but now its annoying me! 99.99% of the sites are absolutely perfect and if I disabled style sheets I see the text very well, but of course, it's all left aligned etc.

  Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.
