  Hello world

  Desperately looking for advice on fixing my Windows Update; using Vista Home Premium, 64-bit. The problem has been consistent since about 10 days to have eliminated the possibility that it is related to the connection.  I completely many system restores.  I turned off Norton 360, even uninstalled and reinstalled.

  Have included a few lines in the Windows Update log this evening to see if this will help you to point me in the right direction.

  Drivers could easily be the cause - or it could be quite a few other things.

  I recommend a restore of the system to a restore point before you did what you did (when it was working fine).  If you use Windows 7, seehttp://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html.
