• Motocast does not

  Hi all

  After the recent to ICS, I am facing problem, so that a phone connected to the computer.

  Motocast detects the phone, but it fails with the error "unlock the phone and then reconnect the cable"

  phone is already unlock mode, tried to reconnect the always the same phone.

  Can someone help with this problem.

  Hi Srinivas,

  I also had this problem before. I suggest you try connecting the cable after checking the "USB debugging" option in settings-> Developer options.

• Cannot set up wireless Motocast

  I just got my Droid Razr yesterday. I could connect to my PC (windows XP) via USB and transfer songs. But I can not configure Motocast wireless, however. Everytime I try, it checks for a wireless connection, and then goes to a screen Motocast wireless set. He's sitting there for a few seconds, then outputs only programs.

  I read through the forum and based on some other recommendations that I saw there, I've uninstalled Java and went on java.com and downloaded the latest version. I have turned off my Windows Firewall and stopped protection in real time on my Microsoft Security Essentials. I also uninstalled the program Motocast, which was first loaded from my phone and uploaded Motocast to mymotocast.com.

  I am at a loss. What else can I try?

  Well, I decided before I'm that drastic, I need to check the updates of Microsoft, it's been a while, there were 73 to install! Yikes! but after installing the updates, I was able to get through the Setup process and can now access my PC via the Razr.

  I just bought one of the Xoom renovated FE of the Motorola store shelves and came here to learn more on this subject. There is much to say about the Tablet, but some features, I'm disappointed in. I was watching the "devices supported" Motocast USB software page and it does not include this tablet. At the bottom of the page, it also says "MotoCast USB software works with most but not all of the Android from Motorola devices. Is it possible to use it on the FE?

  I don't think that Motocast works on ANY Tablet Xoom, only the last XYBoards. It wasn't a deal breaker for me, I have two tablets without it and one who can run it, but I have not so far. They can updated the application later to run on more devices, that was the word on the street.

• Motocast - not reliable

  I found that while the concept of Motocast is a good, it is simply not reliable enough to transfer files or stream movies. It never synchronize a movie - still fails, only sometimes broadcast a film - and requires very high use of the processor of the computer running it.

  I have two PCs at home, my main PC (Core2duo based) and a multimedia PC of Atom. My pc of media atom had no chance - motocast could not listen at all - music has also been uneven. I have now on my main PC and routes around 60% cpu when syncing or streaming...

  When it works, it works really well, and I've been with success able to watch an HD movie, but simply too unreliable to be any use.

  Are there alternatives I could try?

  If watch you movies, especially movies HD, those are encoded in real time by the server of MotoCast before streaming to the unit, to save bandwidth and adjust the flow rate and the resolution on the client device. This of course causes high CPU usage.

  A core2duo or Atom may not be sufficient for this task to happen in seconds, so be prepared for some delays here.

  I had the same problem with the Playstation media server. He started to work very well when I bought an i7.

  Streaming music is another pair of shoes. MP3 and other media that can be played directly by the client device are not re-encoded, so no problems with an atom or a Core2duo here.

  Incompatible, as formats for example FLAC are again encoded in real-time to MP3 256kit to save bandwidth. Again, this could cause delays on slow machines of server.

  This isn't the media server part, which would need a little more processing power. An Atom should be good for this.

  It's the media re-encoding in real time is a little more demanding.

• Contacts do not appear in MotoCast USB

  I connected my razr maxx and transferred the air successfully. I am presented with options to sync music, photos, podcasts, and videos. I'm not presented with contacts. I want to synchronize with Outlook. I installed MotoCast USB and it says, when I click on that the sync of Contacts for Windows account is active.

  Does anyone know if the HD has MotoCast? It was my favorite thing about my Razr Maxx and I can't seem to find it the Razr Maxx HD. Thanks

• Problem with Motocast

  Until today motocast on my Razr Maxx was working properly, but now when I try to access my files on my PC in "my files" app on my phone, it starts the configuration process and said that my email or password has changed! It asks me to login with my password, I did several times without success!

  I do not change my email or password on my account Motocast.

  Can someone help me find a solution?

• Cannot install motocast

  I tried for two days trying to install motocast my deveice and the version downloaded from your Web site. I get the message telling me I need to be connected to the internet. I'm both connected to the internet and that you have turned off the firewall and antivirus protection. I restarted and re-connected several times.

  Help, please!

  Go to http://www.java.com and install... This is the program that tries to access the internet, but impossible to do.

  Once you install java, you will be able to skip this step in the installation and finish installing it.

• How to upgrade the software Motocast on PC?

  My backup phone is no longer on my PC because it indicates that I have to update my Motocast software. For the life of me, I can't understand how to do this. Help!

  Try to go here and download it to install it. I don't think it should be a problem in the installation of this report to the previous version. If there is a problem then the software should tell you about it. I hope this helps.

• Motocast wireless computer Sync has stopped working

  From 15/01/2013, Motocast Wireless sync stopped sync my Razr Maxx to my computer files. It was working fine until recently. I tried to reinstall the application Motocast on my computer (PC with Windows 7) and that has not fixed the problem. Anything else I can try to get wireless sync files (and Yes, in Motocast on the phone to sync enabled).

  Verizon pushed the Razr Maxx also just updated yesterday. Still no luck on getting photos to sync with my computer.

  Unfortunately, it is not an option to select the files and force them to synchronize manually. I would if I could to at least save my photos. I'll try the USB later for at least to synchronize data.

• ICS Motocast problem

  Yes, I just got ICS with everyone.

  And my only problem is to this day, my motocast says that the computer is offline. It is not, motocast is running on the computer, accounts are synchronized, but I can't download or access the files on my computer.

  It worked perfectly fine on Go.

  Someone, help-_-

  Try to restart the computer. If it does that make sure that MotoCast is the most recent version on the computer. Now try to log on and MotoCast on the computer. I hope this helps.

• installer of Motorola motocast doesn't say theres no internet connection when there is

  Motocast does not install on Windows 7 64 bit operating system.  Said that it must be updated, but not internet connection.  Problem is there IS an internet connection, but it doesn't of course.  Tried running as admin and still no luck.  Any suggestions?

  This is a problem known to installation of MotoCast... you must have the most recent Java.
