Coded with tweezers format Windows Media play is not on WMP
Aloha folks,
Someone had this little glitch... have no idea if its my machine or encoder in short a codec. The file of the charges but will not play. The file doesn't seem to have any problems in the preferences
THX... don
I don't think he wants to change the files, Bill. He did edit and created the files WMV won't play in Windows Media Player (which is strange, I admit).
WMP is about the player video suckiest in the vast world of Windows. Try KM Player, VLC or GOM Player. If they work, I take it as a victory and move.

I am trying to sync my ipod with my windows media player and when I connect my ipod windows media play is not read. How can I sync my ipod with windows media player?
Hello
Your MP3 player should have 2 settings - MSC that should allow the player to be used as a
external drive and PSG that is the parameter to use to sync with WMP11. Remove the MP3
and restart the computer. Change the MP3 in MTP mode - it power off and plug it in.I hope this helps.

Player Windows media play is not Itunes specific
I recently bought and downloaded music from the store of Tunes on my ipad and then sync my ipad to my PC. Music files have been successfully transferred to my PC. The album I bought appears in iTunes on my PC with 10 songs visible and works properly, however, when I went to play in Windows Media Player, a songs is not present, the other 9 were visible and works correctly. It happened to be the most popular song on the album that does not work. I had 5 months a similar problem when I bought a single on the iTunes store and it worked in iTunes but not WMP... I am aware that Microsoft says that the m4a files do not work in WMP, but I almost 100 m4a iTunes store songs which work fine in WMP and have been for more than a year. I made sure there is no restriction on the song and apple no longer uses DRM...
If anyone is wondering what songs I downloaded, the single I bought 5 months ago: hope in front of me, by Danny Gokey and the album I bought was by Chasen, the name of the album is that was then, this is now. The song which DOES NOT work in WMP and in iTunes is track 3: On And On. The most popular song on the album...
I just want to know what is the question, especially because 9 of the 10 songs on this album DO not work, because I like to use WMP while I'm at work and I'd love to hear my new songs as well as my 'old'.
Thank you
Sorry - my fault - I missed a step! You must first change your rip settings in iTunes (it uses the rip parameter to create new versions too)
Open iTunes player..., albums lh corner select edition - preferences and on the 'general' tab, you will see (cd) import settings - select then in the menu drop-down superior encoder mp3... you must then define the quality in the next drop - I go to/128mono-256 (stereo) custom which is the equivalent of many downloads, as shown highlighted in the snip. Select and click OK... You may need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect and then you will get the option "create mp3 version". I hope that now you can go! -CIR

Windows Media Play is not video projection
Within Windows Pro 8.1, my windows media player 12 successfully can not play videos. I can hear what is played the video, but it will not show content. I can't understand this
As for the old windows OS, WMP is in need of a coder/software, to
get the rights to play video from a cd or a DVD disc. Usually, this is how
a video ends without the software, the sound, but not view. Offering ATI video cards,
a free Converter, nvidia of fees, other 3rd party software is also available.
Also, try this link for other data of WMP 12

Each attempt generates a message stating "Windows Media Player may not support the file type or the codec that the file compressed. I used a Windows 7 PC, which allowed me to play the video from the camcorder and burn a DVD of the video to share with the family. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you

Windows media player will not play download i-player with mp4 suffix bbc
I downloaded a program from the bbc I have-Reader so that I was in England. The progamme is indicated as being downloaded on bbc I = site of player with an expiration date in the future. the file is displayed in my library under my videos as p01fcz2k_b039ftbm_1377518019380.mp4. I tried to read in windows media player, but it does not open and an error message is displayed as follows: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file. »
How to play? I'm no longer in the United Kingdom.
You can try the following solutions:
1. try to rename the file to a maximum of 8 characters and check.2. try playing the file with any other media players like VLC. Because Windows Media Player does not have the maximum number of codecs. The question can also be with the file/codec. -
My old videos in my windows media player will not play. acquire CODECS rises. I get audio but not video for all the movies at home. Movies that I downloaded and clips play very well. How can I fix it. I use wmp 11.
Hello satindoll11233,
1. What is the exact error message you get when you try to play videos?
2. What is the format of the videos that you try to play?
3. are you able to play other files with Windows Media Player?
Media Player will not be able to play video files, if there are no required codecs or video format is not supported by Media Player.
I suggest you to check the format of the video you are trying to play. You can also try the steps in the article to resolve this problem:
