  Hello

  My laserjet m127fw mfp scanner suddenly stop working without any reason. The printer is connected to the network. I tried to uninstall the drivers and the program, restart count it and then reinstall the latest driver from HP and it stil didn't work.  I can only print from the printer but cannot scan her. Every time when I try to scan, I get an error message saying "Scanner communication cannot be established" I also tried to scan to connect directly to the printer via a USB port and received the same error message. Please help and advice!

  I was not able to find the last update for the following printers:

  HP LaserJet Pro M127fw MFP

  I have checked in the product page and only the drivers and software are listed but not the firmware.

  I don't understand why would omit to anyeone, unless it is located inside the complete drivers, I do not see the listed firmware.

  I also have googoe it and found a site that has the fimware, but I don't know if it may contain a virus.

  If anyone knows where the firmware please let me know.

• M127FW MFP: Computer does not start after the installation of the MFP M127FW

  My computer does not start on my hard drive after installation of my new printer MFP M127FW unless I have first of all disconnect the USB cable between the printer and then turn on the computer.  My BIOS is set to boot from my drive hard, not from a USB key, so that makes installing the drivers M127FW MFP and software do on my computer?  I guess it has something to do with the Smart Install feature.

  It seems that the PDF file to print was shared by someone else. He has been limited to print and this is the reason why you are unable to print the document.

  You need unlock the document so that you can print it.

• LaserJet Pro M127fw MFP: LaserJet MFP M127fw Pro does not

  The MFP M127fw lives on my network.  It is used by several machines - Win7, Ubuntu Linux, Win10, etc.  It works fine for a while - as a few hours, but then enters a State where it will not accept any job.  A power reset always bring it back.

  This seems to happen little matter if I connect via WiFi or Ethernet.  The printer will just "deaf" to jobs.  The interface of the web server is not affected.

  I get tired of the power, deactivation / activation of routine.  What should do?

  The solution to this problem was to remove the router, Asus RT-N66U and return to the DPC3941T of Comcast/Xfinity/Cisco. Somehow the combination of Asus and Cisco (in transition mode) was not managing printers LaserJet network correctly.  More info on my blog.

• Start FF, get the error "update nt could be installed. Doesn't make sure that no other copy running"even from the cold. Have reset but persists.

  At the start of Firefox (Windows 7), even a cold start I get a dialog with the message "the update could not be installed. Please make sure that there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again"
  I checked the Task Manager, and there is no other copy.
  I downloaded the latest version of Firefox 29 but the error persists.
  I have reset Firefox in the default state, but the error persists.

  Thank you for your question, this error has been seen when there is a .parentlock file in the profile folder. There was also a bug that has been fixed in the new version 30 which came out this week

  Please complete the process and update Firefox since Firefox page in the Help menu.

  Specifically, I run Ubuntu 12.04 and want to buy and use a MFP M127FW if it works with linux. Does anyone have experience with this?

• Tap the screen freezing on HP LaserJet M127fw MFP: a fix

  My printer HP LaserJet MFP M127fw Pro, has recently developed a problem. When a new combination modem-router brand ARRIS, was installed and the wireless network active, the touch screen of the printer would no longer meet the touch. After diagnosis by a HP technician 800-474-6836 and implementation of a replacement printer that was sent to me, I found that the problem persisted with the replacement printer. A further analysis by phone HP service technicians determined that the problem was due to a network on the printer setting. The issue has been resolved as follows:

  1. Sign up on the website of the printer using the web address printer, thus linking to the page "EWH" (?) of the printer software.
  2. Click on the tab 'network '.
  3. Click on "Advanced" in the left menu.
  4. Uncheck the "IPv6".

  It is possible that a reinstall of the printer, a re-connection of the wireless network and maybe a reboot may be required.

  I consider this process as a 'solution' to this particular problem, not a solution that would prevent the problem for other owners of printer with ARRIS modem-router.  In my case, the fix was discovered only after many hours on the phone with HP technicians.

  If the printer does not work properly, you shouldn't have to do something more.

  If you have a problem, then I uninstall and reinstall everything again.

  If you happen to do a restore to the default settings of the printer, you will need to disable the IPv6 set again.

  You can do this right from the printer. Go to configuration, network configuration, network, IPv6 Services and turn it off.

  I have read of people having this problem with other printers. Whenever I get a call my it prints an error fax report. It's wasting my toner and paper. The manual refers not at all to it. Some posted the same problem of report and from in settings by selecting never he was supposed to turn it off. I guess it worked for them, but not this model. It made it worse.  When I read the report (after these operations) it says error Fax report = on every mistake.  Can you please tell me how to disable this option. There is no phone or tech support online which takes in charge of this issue. So I use this forum. Help, please.

• LaserJet pro M127fw MFP: print with Windows 10

  Since I upgraded to Windows 7 to 10, I had a problem with printing to my Laserjet MFP M127fw pro.

  In the print preview the page to print looks like square rather than rectangular but the picture about this seems OK. When I print in fact the image is crushed vertically. The problem is the same print with Word, Excel and Acrobat.

  I have been informed that a new driver is required, so I deleted the old driver and downloaded a new one compatible with Windows 10 but the problem persists.

  Thanks for the help but it seems that the problem was that my screen resolution was completely wrong, so that if the image looked OK on preview before printing then it would look incorrect when printing and vice versa.

  I'll be you send a private message on how to perform a reset of the printer. Please follow these steps and it should work. However, it resets the printer to the factory settings and all settings will be lost and you will need to reconfigure the printer.

• M476 MFP: Reset serial number M476

  So I have a HP MFP M476 at work someone reset the NVRAM on and he changed the serial number for all the X characters. I need to reset the original serial number so that our contract service provider does not drop the printer of the contract.

  I've seen a few different things online using various command PJL lines but did not have much luck with them. Is there a standard way to change?

  The only way I know with a file sent to the printer pjl uses a command prompt.  To do this, you must have the shared printer and know the name of your computer.  Then use the command in a dos prompt of:

  NetUSE lpt3: \\computername\sharename

  You replace with the name of your computer and the share name the printer you gave.  If you get the order loaded successfully then you would copy the file to lpt3.

  Attached is a file called serial.doc edit the file using the editor BACK to replace your serial number correct.

  Then type at the command prompt: copy lpt3 serial.doc and press the Enter key.

  To be honest, is not sure if this work with the printer later like yours.  He has worked on all of the previous legacy printers.  Keep in mind there is a label on your printer with serial number which you should be able to provide your company to contract to prove that the printer, it is what it is.
