  Hi all!

  I am currently struggling with a problem that I know has a simple solution, but I can't--for the absolute life of me - understand it. And I did not ashamed to admit that I was clicking during at least 2 hours. I apologize in advance for naming things wrong and for the length of this post.

  Yesterday, I tried to view a PDF on my MacBook Air and was prompted to download Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Everything worked as expected and everything was familiar: I open the PDF file, it is full screen, I could click on parts of the PDF that would take me automatically to other parts of the PDF, etc. In short, nothing seemed odd about all this.

  I exit the application and walked away.

  Later, I tried to return to the same PDF, - exactly what I thought was the same way - but the screen I saw was completely new to me.

  I don't even know what we call this window/view.

  When I double-click the file (open it), I see this. Again, I don't know what this is called. I tried to change the view, but when I select the view in the menu bar at top, none of these options can be selected, making me think that the document is not yet really open when I'm in this view.

  I found that I have the opportunity to "split" the view: window > Split Vertical, the screen looks like this. But it's not what I'm used to seeing when I try to read a PDF file! I just want to see the part on the right. Should it just not the PDF itself. I can resize the split newly created by clicking and dragging to make the PDF page itself takes the largest part of the screen, but it's not the same. I read only 3-4 pages at a time, instead of getting the PDF all at once, as I'm used to.

  I guess I have several questions:

  1. How to open a PDF file in order to open them in fact at the start of the first image? (Question: what is the name of this first screen?) What is my wallet?)
  2. What is called the point of view in the second picture? Is that my wallet? Is it called Porteuille? Is this just a preview? Is the PDF file open not really when I'm looking at him here?
  3. What is the purpose of this split function?

  The behavior you mentioned might be possible is that when you open the pdf and Flash is not installed on your computer and so you saw the file in normal mode without portfolio, but when you opened the file again, the Flash is installed on your computer and see the PDF for portfolio.

  And you answers to your questions below:

  1-how to open a PDF file in order to open them in fact at the start of the first image? -You can right click on the file, select open with > choose Adobe Reader or you can double-click the file under Recent (first image) and, the first screen is called the home screen.

  2 - display in your second image is your wallet. And, yes it's just a glimpse. You must click with the right button on the preview, then select open the file to view the entire pdf file.

  3 - this split function allows having the view of all the files in a portfolio(in the bottom left pane) + preview of the file that is currently selected (on top left) as well as the complete pdf open on the right side.

• Flash Player error 22 look an Acrobat portfolios in browsers

  Our school district uses Adobe Acrobat Professional portfolio feature to create portfolios PDF of BOE Agendas and schedules relating to public access to documents of meeting of Board of Directors.   June 16, 2016, for the 20th meeting of the Council of June online, we have published the agenda of the BOE, and the Adobe portfolio worked in browsers with no problems.

  The morning of June 20, the bosses began to report that they were unable to see the annexes for portfolios using Windows Internet Explorer and Firefox.

  After a repair, it seems that this problem can affect June 16 update to Adobe Flash Player 22 (22.0.0.192). When we uninstall June 16 out of Flash Player 22 on affected PC and install the earlier version of Flash Player, good portfolios work again in browsers.

  Any help that you could provide to solve this problem with the June 16 release of Adobe Flash Player 22 would be appreciated.

  As you suggested, I have uninstalled the utility NPAPI and ActiveX, restarted the computer cell test and then install the ActiveX V22.0.0.207 and beta NPAPI built. This solves the problem in Internet Explorer on the laptop to test. As the Printscreen shown below, Adobe portfolio now shows files in the preview to the left area.

• Adobe Acrobat is still as bad?

  I've never seen such a horrible... Paid program. It blocks all the time, when I join two PDF files or create PDFs from word documents and I want to see them afterwards, it is said to open them in Adobe acrobat as opposed to actually showing them. I usually use Preview... and I think I'll return to this simple program.

  One of the worst things about Acrobat is it can do so much more than any other app, so there is much more to learn. Portfolios, for example, are a very useful way to combine all kinds of files as a PDF 'wrapper', to keep the original files. For example, it is also usable to combine secure documents. You do not give a lot of details so let's check that we are on the same page. A portfolio says it is a portfolio and tells you that you must open it in Acrobat, which is quite true. When I do, it looks like this preview.

  

  Now, there are PLENTY of ways to combine files. I'm assuming that you use file > Creat > combine files into a single PDF file. If so, you or someone may have enabled the portfolio (he is off here). Click on the gear icon to change it.

• Adobe Acrobat OCR DC actually works?

  I have a ton of PDF documents I need to rock to tag, search, and analyze (review). I have DC Acrobat and understand that simply by putting a document in edit by clicking on edit PDF in the Acrobat Tools menu will be OCR the document in the background.

  Except that it seems not work. And my last two posts have remained. So I decided to get a little basic.

  I have free Acrobat portfolio template on the internet that creates the portfolio as Tree Structure (TOC on the left and content on the right, see image below).

  Whenever I open the portfolio, it displays File2 (on the right) as a default.

  How can I change it so when I opened this portfolio, he'd out file1 as default.

  I found that it is false. I tried to add files to the portfolio of Adobe in order, but for some reason, the file I wanted to ON THE TOP has not worked that way.

  After a search through Adobe communities and online, I found that they are listed in alphabetical order. So, you can change the detailed portfolio information and change the title or Description.

  If you want the file to appear at the top of the list, simply add 0 in front of the file, such as 0_This the first file.

• Is a manual download for Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1 and 8.1.1 for Mac?

  I've got CS3 Design Standard for Mac, which for the most part works very well on Yosemite, but the problem is that the Updater does not work anymore, so I can't update these programs to their latest versions.  I went to CS3 product download and downloaded from there, thinking that it would give me the latest versions.  Download Adobe provides the original versions of each application, not CS3 final revisions (maybe we can't install final revisions directly, so they need to provide the original and leave the client to update).  So I have to need to download them manually.  Final revisions of Photoshop CS3 for Mac and Illustrator CS3 for Mac for reasons I can't understand, Adobe download section (updates of the product), but shows no Acrobat Pro CS3 for Mac download!  [Review for the PS works, but the AI patch cannot be applied; but I would at least be updated Acrobat Pro kick].

  ( However, even If it can ' t lies in the Adobe Download Center, also on their site there is a manual download for Acrobat Pro 8.1.2 ()Adobe - Acrobat Professional: for Macintosh: Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 Professional update - English and French).  HOWEVER, I have 8.0, and we need to follow the path of 8.0 - > 8.1.1-> 8.1.2 The problem is that I couldn't find either of these intermediate versions

  Sounds like you are trying to install with the ORIGINAL serial number provided with your product rather than the NEW one with the download.

  Adobe do support the last two versions (10 and 11) so if they have knowledge of 7 at all it's just a lucky accident...!

  Furthermore, I hope that you install on an old computer to Windows XP, because you won't get far in Windows 7 or Windows 8 with this version...

  I see the problem. you try to open a pdf portfolio, not a single PDF file.

  because you have a crippled os, you can use the adobe reader that can read the pdf portfolio.  then, you're stuck with a paralyzed player.

  Captivate can publish to PDF. You can insert this page in Acrobat and have a document with different interactive tutorials CP-published in full. I also use Acrobat to offer a portfolio for students with CP-tutorials, presenter published presentations, other documents or sample files.
