What external optical drives are compatible with the Acer Aspire One 722 with Windows 7 Home Premium OS. I need to make the backup disks and install the CD software.
Thank you.
More external ODD will work just make sure it's an external power source. This allows not to take a lot of power to the unit.

Where are the "System Restore" files in Windows Vista Home Premium.
I would like to simplify the installation process.
Is there a program in Windows Vista Home Premium which can create an image disk for future use.
Is there a good disk image program/software?
Can I record a restore point on an external drive? That is, only the last 5 days of "restore points" are available in the system restore.

Readers USB Flash RAM, CD drive USB, readers of CD - RW USB, USB DVD +-RW drives and DVD-ROM USB readers are all handled by Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium as "devices with removable storage". To check this, look under the "Computer" entry in the menu 'start '. However, if one uses as a USB external hard drive, that one is listed under 'hard drive '. Programs noticed this, and some of them refuse to use it as a removable media drive, even if it is technically removable media, with its electronic and all. It's kind of weird, because you can't remove the RAM on the USB Flash memory drives either. Is there a way to get readers to external USB hard drive listed under "devices with removable storage"?

USB hard drives do not seem material RMB (removable media bit) bit set.
I tried to format my external drive scratch NTFS (it has been formatted in this way, but I have re-formatted to ensure that), and it always happens as "Local Disk". Also, I put the "Optimize for quick removal" option on the parameters of the disk driver hard software. Which doesn't change anything either. It came even as "Local Disk". Finally, I formatted the drive with the FAT32 file system (use some flash drives). The drive still shows as "Local Disk". In the tests described above, I still "withdrew safely" the disk first and then re-connected.
Thanks for the help, I now know it is a bit material in the electronic control unit which controls special registration of the drive in the operating system.

In IE11, use the option "Save as" and specify the location / folder you want to save the download. Once the download is complete check to see if the downloaded file is in the specified folder.
You can also try another browser such as Firefox to see if you are able to save the downloaded file.

You have a problem here. My laptop was pre installed with windows 7 Home premium. And, he has been infected with the virus. I tried to update using samsung recovery program and will end up being crushed. You have no recovery disk or USB. Searching through Internet, but the links are all down. No worries.
Hello
Check with support from Samsung and their documentation online. They allow the recovery and
clean if necessary installation media. Which should be at low cost since you already own windows. You mean reinstall the OS completely? If you have the Windows 7 DVD you can do however
don't forget to completely backup your data off the drive, and you need to reinstall your programs. If you
don't have Windows 7 disks, you can buy them in your machine to cheap system. If you don't like

I can't activate my Windows 7 Home Premium because of the area restriction/limitation
Hello
I don't know what to do on this subject... just help...I bought a genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (I have the license number in a sticker on my laptop) in Indonesia, I installed it in a hurry and I thought that I activated in Indonesia. Now I'm in the Canada to study and will not be back to the Indonesia until that Christmas and now I realize that I have not activated yet... (I think it's because as the internet problem in my home country)... He tries to activate whenever I connected to the internet but it says I can't because of the restriction of area - and if I don't activate within 30 days so I can't use (it's time)? ...So... what should I do (please don't tell me I have to buy a new one here...)-because I already bought a real (and it's certainly NOT CHEAP)...I know that maybe it seems a bit silly but please help. My time is running out...Thank you.It is the computer that you select. Select the country you are currently.

Have you installed Windows 7 device drivers for your make and model. If this is not the case, then go to the support web site factory and download Windows 7 drivers to a folder on your PC and then first install the drivers for the card mother/chipset, followed by USB, SATA, LAN, Audio and all other pilots.
Find the website of your computer manufacturer support.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/contact-support/computer-manufacturersHow do you know if you have a 32 bit or bit 6 vrsion of Windows installed:

BIOS updates: you should check to see if there was one, or sometimes several updates BIOS for the motherboard. Read (if provided) which solves the update. Sometimes a newer BIOS update will fix the problem. Read the instructions on how to your BIOS update/flash very carefully and be more you understand the process. There is a risk of a bad flash/update occurs which can make your system unbootable.
Also check the download site of the manufacture of the graphics card for the latest Windows 7 drivers for your card.

files that are about 50 MB or more, can not be downloaded the integrity of my windows 7 Home premium
for example, to install the Java SDK downloaded by my laptop, will appear a message a .cab file is corrupted, and I have to cancel the installation. However, if use the package downloaded by my friend, it works correctly. The most common causes are
(1) a bad internet connection leading to corrupt downloads.
(2) malicious software on the system that infect downloads.
We cannot do anything on the first of these forums - so...
Download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) - uncheck "Activate the free trial version of MBAM PRO" at the end of installation - www.malwarebytes.org and update to update, then run a complete analysis of your main account and quick scans in all other user accounts.

Activation
My PC vendor failed to provide me with a product code, so I can't activate Windows. This forum told me I have to buy another copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The cost of the software during the purchase of the United States is much less expensive than when purchased in the United Kingdom. Is there any disadvantage when downloading the product of the United States? It will work very well in the United Kingdom, there are no geographical restrictions on activation outside the United States.

My computer fell silent months ago after a download. I checked the healthy zone and everything is on and not anywhere in the system. I did a scan of unknown quality and that indicates a problem with the audio drivers. I tried to download new divers from Microsoft.
Rather than spending all the resources on the Windows XP system, I am considering Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade. Upgrades include new audio drivers which will replace or overwrite the existing problem and make it all work as it should again.
You can not spend XP as it's a clean install to get W7 on your PC. To help transfer data documents, use the transfer on the W7 DVD program.
Before doing that I suggest you download the Advisor to upgrade to W7 from Ms. If your PC passes, then you go to the next step which is download W7 drivers for your video card, sound card, printer, etc. and their storage on a USB for post install W7.
If your PC isn't at the height (lack of drivers for one or more of your cards), then I would stick to XP. There is no guarantee that Vista drivers work in W7.
If you stick to XP, download the drivers for specific sound card XP the PC manufacturer's Web site, they can be more up-to-date than those at Ms.
See you soon,.

I made a thread on another site that speaks of how I could not allocate enough RAM for a game and the main response that I had been upgraded to 64-Bit Windows 7 for 32-bit will not work. I was wondering if I could use the verification code to a Windows 7 Home Premium disk OS 32 bit, to show that I bought it, to download the same thing only 64-bit. Also the reason why I have OS 32-bit and plays heavy games is because I upgraded my MoBo, I need an operating system and my step dad had one so I used it.
PS Sorry if I put this in the wrong Windows topic.
Where can I download it? Is there a link that you could give me? If Yes please. Thank you very much for the help!
You can download a copy of 64-bit from following link:

You can also create a bootable copy on a USB pendrive:
After graduating the .iso file, you use the Microsoft .iso to USB/DVD tool to create a bootable DVD or USB (requires a blank DVD or USB flash to at least 4 GB key).
You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.
Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.
Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7
For information about how to modify your BIOS options to boot from the DVD drive, see the following tutorial:
http://notebooks.com/2011/05/05/How-to-load-BIOS-and-change-boot-configuration/
Once your computer is configured to boot from the DVD, you should see this option.
Click Install now
Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.
You will receive the following warning:
The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.
(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK
The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.
Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.
You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.
