• 'Remove a color cast' what is grayed out

  When I improve-> adjust color-> (remove a color cast) the remove color cast item is grayed out. How can I get that back to use it? I have Photoshop Elements 10.

  Yes, sorry, I did not it was version 10.  I have 9 and 11.

  In version 9, you would choose full-time on the upper right corner of the Edit interface.

  In version 11, you would choose Expert at the top center of the interface.

  The Panel of Lumetri color workspace might be your best bet to add a color cast if you are on the CC model, however it allows "in-house" of key-framing of the workspace "whole", although its individual controls can. In the following screenshot, I'm in the color workspace... see the two tabs at the top? Left, one is the Lumetri Panel itself, and the right one is the effects tab.

  You can twirl to a few of the Lumetri controls as I show here, note how the individual effects can be framed to the key so if say you are wanting a color simple mount and can do it with a control like temperature (yellow/blue axis) and hue (green/magenta axis) or the wheels of color in the Design tab , and I show where you keyframe that starts here:

  

  Click on the stopwatch pointed straight above the wheels of color, it turns blue... and then you get the standard picture controls key to add, browse and change/delete the keyframes on the right side of this line. But... once used Lumetri Panel on a clip, the way easiest to evolution of the keyframe is in the workspace effect as shown below...

  

  Note the space between the wheels of color & the program monitor? Using the effects workspace, you have the full clip that you work on shown here in the region for a long time underlined... and that's where you right click on one of these key frames and change them from a 'hard' point for a Bézier curve effect.

  Again, you are not limited to key-framing either one effect not keyframe forgetting those multiple for each change that you want. IF, as I do, your color change involves usually several effects, the simple solution is to put over the clip that you want to add a distribution key-box or another correction on an adjustment layer. With that layer selected and using the Lumetri workspace, add the color you want to this layer. Then use the opacity controls in the Panel effects keyframes the opacity of this layer.

  0%, the layer has no effect on the layer below it (and thus the output)... and 100%, should be applied the color change, that you put in the Lumetri so that a layer above the layer below image.

• Media Encoder, adding RGB color casts on BW 16 mm Footage

  Hey everybody,
  
  I'm really puzzled by this one. I work with scans FCP6 and Apple Pro Res HQ 16 mm B & W footage. I am trying to encode a .mov independent (direct to FCP) file in Adobe Media Encoder CC (for Blu - ray) and then burn to Blu - ray with Encore CS6.
  
  I burned the first test Blu - ray last night and when I played it on my reader Blu-ray/TV, I was amazed by the loyalty and the definition of the structure of the grain or thick/complicated 16mm, even through what was only a 6 GB render .m4v (compressed 33.5 GB .mov). , Everything was perfect... EXCEPT... I had these horrible "color casts" of red, blue, green, magenta, in virtually all shots in images. Particularly in the last shot the discharge pipe (see example clips long of 14 seconds):

  Obviously the images don't look it into FCP6 or .mov in QT7. I just double checked and color casts ARE visible during playback the .m4v ME converted into yet. I also took the FCP .mov and which brought still and no. COLORCASTS. I also took the .mov, it imported back to FCP and but a color corrector 3 tracks on it and set the saturation to zero, exported to it and then ME > again and it still adds the color... So, I'm 99% positive that it is a problem of Media Encoder. Here are the settings I used:
  
  
  
  If you consider how long is took me to web compression results satisfying film 16mm in the past, I feel like I just hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th to the fidelity of the reading of the first Blu - ray test. The movement and the definition are phenomenal, I mean we are talking quality, test - without X.264 or Code Blu--(même avec toutes les conneries de moderne "surcompensation" désactivé sur ma TV). I'M SO CLOSE TO RENDERING/BURNING A BLU - RAY PERFECT IF I CAN JUST UNDERSTAND THAT THING OF COLOR!
  
  Got a deadline for this is put in the hands of a couple of prominent filmmakers.
  
  Any help or ideas that anyone can provide would be most appreciated.

  SOLUTION *.

  Well, it seems silly that I had to do this at all, but here is the workflow that finally seemed to fix the problem without adding an extra level of encoding...

  Save autonomous my calendar in FCP6 .mov > take this back to FCP as a separate sequence and apply the filter "Desaturate" (Image control > Desaturate) for the entire film > resave as autonomous .mov > convert into SOUL > master and burn on Blu - ray with still > Presto! NO COLORCASTS on sequence B & W 16mm still and no colorcasts of the file on the Blu - ray disc.

  I believe that I said above, but in case I didn't, the saturation adjustment or 'Desaturate' via the plugins FCP color corrector work... even with the same exact workflow otherwise. I have no idea why, but if someone always faces the same problem, it worked for me. Only took two weeks to do something that I guessed that would take a day, maybe two. GISH.

  I set out to try to describe how to fix, so I'm in the area and just done.

  Several curves and Hue/Saturation layers participated initially to get a bunch of small red and standardize the channels, then I did some restoration of painting on a layer of color set to color.  Then I stamped it all into a single image and tidy with some Dodge and Burn.  Finally I have it sharpened ever so slightly with one of my fractal of sharpening actions.

  I notice strange color casts in the nuances of light on the images, I open Lightroom cc to CC PS.

  My monitor is calibrated, and two color management applications on. The files are RAW of Nikon since a D810.

  
  

  I get a separate green/blue dominant showing on paper background (grey seals) in the shade, and where the main light goes off around the subject. When I with the pipette sample there is a small amount of extra blue in RGB but not otherwise in other parts of the backdrop - so I think (hope), is a display problem only.

  OK, as long as you can trust what you see, it's good.

  In all cases, the fundamental problem is the same: somewhere along the chain of (the conversion of source in display profile profile) display color management, something breaks down and does not have the right result on the screen. It is usually the profile, but it could also be the conversion of profile itself, such as calculated by the GPU.

  Turn off travel, the logic of color management back to the CPU, GPU, which is much more robust and reliable.

• HDR Pro color cast

  After the PS CS6 upgrade to 13.0.1, HDR Pro now makes terrible colors. The reds seem to be missing and there is a cast of pea-green in all. The screen shot of LR shows two images 32 - bit HDR Pro from the left was created 19/09/2012 right was created 10/27/2012 after having upgraded CS6 and LR4. The color in Photoshop space is Prophoto

  

  I didn't have a strong theory why the color space for raw format conversions should cause this, but I thought to experiment with the setting to see if it has been questioned was not expensive.  Photoshop 'opens' files in backstage during a merge operation of the HDR script, and I don't know what he's doing here.

  I wonder if Photoshop preferences to the setting of compensation would be a first step better than uninstalling / reinstalling.

• New to Pro-100, do not print, problems with a color cast or poor shadow values

  Hi forum! I am a new owner of a Pro-100. I have a Pro - 9500 Mark II.

  I have a symptom of having a kind of dominant to my dark values on several tests of purple color printing. I printed with photoshop and everything just app photo apple - same result.

  My blues are supposed to be blue electric/royal, but I'm close to the Navy. Violet is also in shades clear, but not as obvious.

  My nozzel checks look good, I did a cleanup, tried a few different profiles...

  All advice appreciated. The image below is an idea of what I see. I'm not in a piece of color balanced to take a picture of my impression with the monitor. Thank you!

  

  Fixed! I got on the Horn with support canon technique. Mary told me download Print Studio Pro. We made some adjustments and I now have a good impression. the result is great, but the process seems like a band-aid to put on/in photoshop. I wonder if the question is more photoshop, or even more with the software of the printer... But, Cannon was very helpful, the whole process takes about 30 minutes.

• what codec to export for color correction first pro cc

  I'm in talks with House of color. I can afford only 2 days and they told me the output as quickfile (instead of use XML to link to raw support). I'm in Premiere pro. Y at - it a codec that I can use that is loss less? I hear res Pro? Or flat file DCP?

  A high quality ProRes and DNxHD might work, or Cineform or a frame-by-frame DPX huge configuration. I might go for the Cineform myself... others would go for something else. I advise to make also information specific to the possible colorist House... have a preference or a codec more experience/comfort.

• Lightroom 3.0 important color cast in different Modules

  I am new to Lightroom and shortly after installation have somehow created a significant difference in color between the modules.  In the library modules and develop the casting is as if the red channel is minimized or missing.  In the Web module, the colors appear correctly and will when going back to the library module until the photo is selected again and then the imbalance is returned.  I guess I have significantly altered the color space but don't know how to correct it and uninstall then reinstall the program did nothing.

  Please see the attached screen dumps.  It is interesting when the dropping of the Web module is open on my screen with the Windows Photo Viewer the dump has melted but seen with other picture viewers is not.  The dumps are properly the display below.

  Any advice on what is the problem would be most appreciated.  Thank you.

• Display of images with a color cast

  I have a problem with the images displayed with a cast on some sites of color (including Facebook and I agree with the image library (I'm a pro photographer).) This does not happen with explore.

  The pref gfx.color_management.enabled is no longer used (you get redirected)

  Don't forget to use the gfx.color_management.mode pref rather (value of 0 disables color management).

  You can try setting the pref gfx.color_management.enablev4 true on the subject: config page and to close and restart Firefox to allow ICC V4 based on Firefox 8 +, but this feature is not yet fully implemented, then there may be problems in some cases.

• How can I know that PC Cleaner Pro removal is removed completely from my computer?

  How will I know if PC Cleaner Pro is gone entirely?  After learning, it was spyware, I uninstalled it through Control Panel.  After seeing several posts on the deletion, I looked through the registry and see nothing that says PC Cleaner Pro but identifies my Iolo System Mechanic PC Cleaner Pro as a protector of malware correct while I had both Avira and Norton it did not detect either...  So where is it?  I get no pop ups for PC Cleaner so I he and where is he?  From many different sites on its withdrawal invites you to download the fix.  None of them are legitimate?
