Color picker out of gamut diferent alert warning of the range image? (CS5)

I'm confused...

I'm editing an sRGB image.  My custom proof condition is set to sRGB IEC, preserve numbers not controlled, BY intention or RC, PCBS. The range warning is enabled.

I add some text and color using the text color picker tool. I have activate WARNING range in that and choose a color of the range e.g. #ff0000 off. I go back to the image and the text is * no * reported as being out-of-gamut.

In fact * no. * color marked as OOG in the selector seems to be considered OOG, once I go back to the image with sRGB IEC selected, if they are when I select other devices to simulate.

Why the disparity between the OOG WARNING image as well as the selector tool?  The tool uses another simulation device that I have chosen?  Who should I believe?

Ian

I guess the warning of the range Color Picker is against your workspace CMYK in the color settings.

  • Cannot delete 'alert warning' in the Safari iPad iOS 9.3.1 Air app

I have a 'alert warning to the Virus' that I can't delete my Safari app. It seems to hang out in the list at the bottom of the cross-tab screen which we can access by clicking the several page icon at the top right of the Safari icon window.

I tried all of the suggestions: removal of Web site data, blocking cookies, disable Javascript, display resetting, etc. I always put the question when I open Safari (screenshot attached), and two additional, seemingly legitimate pages on the list at the bottom also do not seem to want to leave. If I press them, they open a tab. They are not in my bookmarks, Favorites or history (which I also deleted). I'm at the end of my options, it seems, and I hope someone here can help you. The only thing I have yet to try is delete the app and re-install. Thanks for the tips!

Have you tried double pressing the "home" button and make drag all Safari Windows? Safari then clear cache (settings - safari - clear history...) and back in Safari.

  • I need color is out of Gamut in my files have...

    Hey,.

I work for a company that uses #EF6C00 as their primary color. We use it in print and web... whenever I go into the color picker and use this specific value, a warning appears telling me that it is out of gamut. Color changes are small but still noticeable. They usually change to one of 3 different oranges. I don't think that the company has had this problem before so I think that my document set up is defective? I have the color of the document to CMYK mode because I'm working on a print ad. Don't know what else I can do to help solve this problem. Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you.

It is not that you're doing something wrong. It depends on what profiles you work with. You can find the color you want in CMYK mode and use these values if you are systematically managing the conversion of your HEX value. Which currently shows off standard gamut SWOP CMYK, but it may not for the printer/output target that you are handling.

At the point of Monika. If you can find what your print provider works with you can set your color to their output target profiles and make sure that you are, or not, in the range for the target output device.

It is especially on the understanding that the measure is based on the source/target profile. So here's a screenshot of your value in three separate documents. But the source range is ProPhoto RGB, sRGB and Adobe RGB. You can see the change of the off values of the range (the cloud) and note also that vary the CMYK values for this spell. This is because what you convert source being another range/space for RGB definition. So out of the gamut is only compared to the RGB space is the measure of.

Yes, under Edit > parameters of color in Illustrator, you can see what jobs you measure with and work with. This will show you what RGB space, it uses to set the value of your color and CMYK engine (or other) that he uses to show how far out of gamut, it is, because CMYK is a smaller than RGB gamut. See below, mine is sRGB and SWOP v2.

In your case, you have a HEXADECIMAL value. But it's always RGB/CMYK. If it was me, I would find none of the other projects you have made and which were considered 'success' for the output color, open the file and find out what the CMYK equivalent and which target for your release in the future. Any project output CMYK uses this value and any output RGB (on screen) use your hex value. This will ensure better consistency in these two types of separate output for projects.

If they are supposed to be using a value of as a book of Pantone spot color, then you can use that as an aspect of the target to discuss with your printer.

You can synchronize all your applications through Adobe Bridge to make changes of the uniformity of the profile.

  • Why a Mac Color Picker shortcut is leading my ability to center the text (Command-Shift-C)?

I don't know if it's an OS X 10.11.4 issue, or if it's because of a recent change in InDesign - but instead of letting me my text centered, a weird system color picker shows when I hit shift-command-C.

I can't find where to disable this shortcut via the system preferences; and I really want to change the shortcut text Center.

    Any ideas? Thank you!

Okay, figured it out. I have a piece of software called "Sip" which can enjoy the values HEX off what anyone on the screen. Since it is an element of status bar, it was the substitution of commands to InDesign. I disabled it when working in InDesign, and it is fixed. Thanks for your contributions!

  • Disable the warning of the range?

For those of us who have no intention to print our graphics, isn't it frustrating that Photoshop will not allow you to use certain colors, because the range warning says that he will not be available printing? It's really annoying that the computer allows me to use the colors I want.

So is it possible to turn off or disable the boring range warning?

I don't want to print my file. I want to use it in my website.

Well, then why work you in CMYK, or use a color other than sRGB profile? That's all there is to it - you try to use a color that cannot support the current color space and certainly based on your improper use of the patterns of colors and profiles. I really think you dance around a very obvious question (and solution) here.

  • Warning of the range grayed out in what cases?

According to the Manual CS5 Gamut Warning point in the view menu should be available when color test is verified however mine is grayed out for all of the items in the sections second of the test Format, legacy Macintosh and Internet Standard Monitor RGB menu.

If I choose the equivalent of Internet Standard and Monitor RGB from the custom option on the Format of event menu, Gamut Warning becomes available

    Is this a bug?

  • Stuck in 32-bit mode floating color picker

I can't get my color back in 8-bit mode. Places I went to make sure her play to 8-bit mode

Get a close look at your screenshot of your color picker is 8-bit, selected just to watch the red channel and you typed a very strange number for green. I can get the same thing:

The gradient editor allows you to type anything. If you use the selector, you will get the normal values. If the display is 32 bit, the values would look like this:

  • Color picker bug heavy?

Now that version preliminary is the retail version, here a problem that was posted, but not really addressed during the preliminary process:

The color picker is not choosing the appropriate color values.

Try the following to reproduce the problem:

    1. Define a new shade of color - lets say R = 255, G = 0, B = 0 (pure red)
    2. Draw a rectangle and assign this color as a fill
    3. Draw a new rectangle and open the filler panel by clicking the fill icon in the Control Strip
    4. Choose the color picker and click the red rectangle filled with the color red, defined in step 1.

The color that is transferred to the second rectangle using the color picker is here R = 252, G = 52, B = 27.

Why? What values using the selector? Local monitor profile,...,...?

The problem of color picker seems to be a Mac problem. The color picker is able to choose the colors of the entire screen (not only from the windows of the Muse), and Mac OS, it is only possible to choose the color of the color management. There seems to be no way to retrieve the RGB values of pure "successful pre" screen. In other words, Zak Williamson of the Muse team describes.

The team of Muse is certainly aware of this problem. Let us wait and see what happens in the next version.

  • I have a lot of trouble recently with colors of the range. My software is updated, my system is calibrated with Datacolor, as in many years with her, but now I norticed much more than before out-of-gamut color images when checking this. Do not print.

I have a lot of trouble recently with the release of the color range in Photoshop CC. The software is updated. I used to the Datacolor years to calibrate the system, and it worked well always. But now I noticed that I have a lot more images with out-of-gamut colors, and it prints wrong. Is this a problem with Adobe? The rest of my equipment is the same. Any help? I'd appreciate comments. Thank you, Emilio.

First, the range warning applies to the proof profile that you put in place, under test format. If this is not the profile that you want to print with, there is no relevance.

Second, range warning is a very large and imprecise indication, and I would just turn off. It shows what is out of range, but not how much. There are better ways, like proofing (even once, test format, toggle with ctrl + Y).

You can also convert a copy of the file to print your profile and look at the histogram. If you have severe cuts, you can adjust the file accordingly.

Third, there are people who feel the effect of threshold is best handled by the profile. In other words, doing nothing, just convert and done. I'm not one of them, just thought I would mention it.

    ------------------

Just to put us all on the same page, here are the basics:

There are three different color profiles here. The document profile, the profile of the monitor and the printer/paper/ink profile. If all of these profiles are good, the results will be consistent and predictable.

So to start with the document profile. These are important parameters in the PS color settings dialog box:

It can't be Adobe RGB, but there must be a standard color space (sRGB, Adobe RGB or ProPhoto).

Then the monitor profile. The Spyder software everything for you, and Photoshop uses this profile to display the file. You don't need to do anything once the software ran - it is all set up automatically.

You can check in Windows color management has the right profile is configured by default:

Thirdly, the profile of the printer. It's one that refers to the book as "Xxx of Epson Premium glossy", or all that apply. You choose this profile in the dialog box print in Photoshop, and then you go in the printer driver ("settings") and ensure that color management is turned off it. You don't want a double color management.

If it withdraws, and it still does not seem good, get back with more details.

Oh, by the way - have you got your NEC monitor with Spectraview calibration software included? If you did, it is greatly preferable to the Spyder software for reasons more than I have space to list here. You can still use the Spyder probe, at least if it's generation 3, 4 or 5. Earlier versions are notoriously few reliable and also not designed for wide gamut displays.

  • The CSS color picker

What this means? When I hover over a color in my stylesheet, the preview comes up and I want to change the color value. I fly over the value then I right click and choose hint of color tools and color picker color picker appears but the fact this warning. If I do this three or four times the alert stops popping up and then I can use the color picker to change the value. Now, I know I could use CssDesigner but it's here for a reason and I would like to do it this way because it is easier and faster. Thanks for the help!

Goal of my client: provide my logo to their web developer, so everyone uses the exact same blue.

    Question:

Can I provide the logo with the specified values to the client, or click on the warning "out of gamut" and end up with a new color?

Sorry, I should have said, "I provide the logo with the specified values to the client, or click 'off-web color' warning and the end to the top with a new color?
