Communication issues in Windows 7 with the XBOX 360

I also have the problem of my windows premium 7, refusing to talk to my xbox 360...< not="" the="" controller's..="" it="" talks="" to="" them="" fine="">

But the Xbox itself on the other side ot the network...

So please don't tell me to install controller drivers...

Really do not do...

Yes, I've read hundreds of times people have asked this very question.

To always have the microlimp people answer with «just install the controller driver and everything'll be fine...»  You want a pill with this useless response? »

My very expensive windows 7 gaming machine speaks to everything perfectly. Everything there is certified to work with windows... Nothing is no name made in China...

And apparently the xbox slim is certified...

Then why they will not speak to each other...

The windows updates did not have a pilot.

I tried the controller driver... It did not help at all...

So please don't just tell me to install the controller driver...

And maybe think about why we shouldn't just scrap xbox and get a media center that works?

Hell I already used my Roku as well as the xbox...

He and my windows machine 7 talk to each other with happiness...

Original title: windows 7 driver driver to talk to an xbox 360.  Do not use the controller with a windows machine...

  • Impossible to share media with the XBox 360

Original title: sharing windows media player files options are not available. I click on file share (not icon) and it times out. This option is then to cancel. By clicking OK, does nothing. Any ideas?

So I read on several sites, including microsoft, that media windows 11 jointly with windows XP THAT can enable file sharing. However, when I go through the steps, IE open Windows Media Player > library > media sharing, there is not all the icons to select share with. I can click the file sharing box, and then click OK. • Sansa Fuze does not work with the Xbox 360?

I know that the console is capable of playing a MP3 player through it, I could do my job as Creative Zen. I don't understan why it does not work with the "rocket", the interface looks more simple on the surface of things. And I'm sure it doesn't because I don't have a HARD drive for my Xbox, it was working fine before.

The reson I am, I wanted to know because I wanted to know the other ways of playing my rocket while listening. the kool on my expirimentation thing is I found that the Xbox will charge my rocket when it is off and I can listen at the same time. I also found that my Playstaion 2 will work also in this copacity all-in-on.

Basically the Auto setting works well with the XBox.  Select settings > USBMode > MTP or MSC.

With PSG, you can even play content protected by DRM rockets (IE Rhapsody) on Xbox.

  • E3000: uPnP works only with the Xbox 360

    Hi all

So I just set up my new E3000, upgrade a WRT54G.  UPnP has worked a lot on this router and my last three routers before that.  Xbox never required to configure anything - I can prove simply by exchanging routers and set among the 'old' instead of the E3000.

However, the E3000 (Firmware Version: 1.0.02) doesn't work with uPnP.  Connectivity Xbox test comes back and says that my NAT type is "moderate."  More stuff works fine, but I want to get all the workers.  I worked with a tech Linksys which was very helpful and got to 'Open' NAT setting triggered port forwarding.

I am happy to have my problem solved, but confused why uPnP does not work?  I mean, it was easy for me to configure the port forwarding, but for my less technical friends, do I simply cannot recommend this router because it can't do basic uPnP?

Is there an another configuration change, I did that may have upset the uPnP?

    Thank you!

    -Scott

In case this help someone else:

In recent months, I've used a static mapping for XBOX live.  I've recently updated the firmware on my router to 1.04 and still was having similar problems with uPnP.  So I continued to use the static mappings.  One day my IP for the Xbox has changed and I'm frustrated.

I tried one thing before giving up on this router:

    (1) Held down the reset for 30 seconds button

    (2) while still holding down, unplugged the router for 30 seconds

    (3) while now down, reconnected and continued operating for 30 seconds

This is a complete reset of the router.  I then re-directed the Cisco connect software (which has been also updated recently).  I've reconfigured my router as I wanted.

    Now, Xbox Live uPnP works!

  • Problem with the Xbox 360 and WRT54GS

Once from time to time, my Xbox suddenly will refuse to connect to the internet, even if he had worked for a few minutes to an hour. I'm going through all troubleshooting he tells me to do with the connection test, the MTU thing has always been higher than the minimum, even when the thing, it is not. For the first time, I got one for me to open up access to port 3074, and I can't find anywhere, I would. How can I do this?

    Nevermind, I figured it.

  • Questions of WRT54GL with the XBOX 360 Modern Warfare 2 chat (even with open NAT)

    Hello

I read a few posts on the subject, but can't seem to make it work.  I tried port forwarding, UPnP and DMZ on their own or at the time and the best I could do is get a "open NAT" in modern warfare, allowing me to play online.  However, I do hear not others when you play online.  I can tell they speaking by looking at the icon of speaker beside their name between games, but cannot hear them...  I can hear people in my private chat or part without problem.

Can you guys help me?  It's hard to read dominance without being able to communicate with his teammates.

Oh gawd...  I feel like a noob...  It turns out it wasn't my router settings at all.  Somehow, I got my 'privacy settings' in XBOX Live set to "Discuss with friends only" or something similar.  I now opened it at all and it works fine.

  • Windows Media Center extender on my XBOX works initially, but not after reboot of my XBOX. Error: Failed to connect to the Xbox 360 could not connect to the windows Media Center computer.

It's VERY odd and very annoying!

I set up my laptop next to my Xbox 360 with an Ethernet cable directly connecting the laptop to the XBOX, and the laptop is on our wireless network. The XBOX has access to the internet (shared through the laptop), and when I test the PC connection and the connection XBOX Live sound fine to all.

So I'll try to set up Windows Media Center, it works great! I "Add Extender", put the code to 8 digits. It passes through the installation, all works, no problems and WMC opens on the XBOX, I can go into my library, watch movies etc... works great!

However! As soon as I turn my XBOX off and back on, it will fail to connect to the WMC.

He says his 'find Windows Media Center PC' which seems to work fine, it goes to the ' Windows Media Center loading screen "contact...". ", and after about 10 seconds, I get an error"failed to connect the Xbox 360 could not connect to windows Media Center PC. Make sure that the PC is turned on and connected to the network.

I tried to configure the Extender repeatedly, whenever it works fine until I restart the XBOX... :/ - and its strange cause I still the internet connection (shared through the laptop) after turning on the XBOX, its really JUST Media Center which is screwing around.

She continues to keep trying to connect then repeatedly fails.

If I wanted to, I could re-configuration the WMC Extender EVERY TIME turn off the Xbox, which works the first time without fault, but that's all just stupid.

I can't really understand what is happening here... any help would be appreciated.
