Compaq 6930p: Bios is damaged

Modules of memory on my laptop that I must have created the audit a static thrust because it starts more all I get on screen is a selected message "application HP BIOS is damaged or missing. Please install the application and try again.

But if it all ends, I don't have the recovery key for this PC because it was bought second-hand and the previous owner didn't either.

I do not have the bitlocker recovery key identification, but here too, I have a problem typing as to type the numbers is no problem, but the letters will not accept the program I do not know why.

I also realized an auto recfovery repair pushy, but also, this failed to materialize

If someone could help me further he would be greatly appreciated

Hello @dieselman13 ,

To get your question more exposure I suggest you post in the trade forums since it is a commercial product. You can do to commercial Forums.

Even if it is a Commercial product, I recommend to restore the default settings of the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. This will have the BIOS check the connected equipment.

Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

Here is a document on the computer does not start.

Thank you.

  • Satellite P300 (PSPC4E) - BIOS is damaged

I have some problems with my Toshiba Satellite P300 (PSPC4E).
The BIOS is damaged and I am trying to get it back.

I disconnected the battery, HDD and DVD.

I managed to create a USB startup disk using the USB HP and CrisDisk.
It was empty after I run it. I copied the three files into it, PHLASH16. EXE, Autoexec.bat and my laptops bios, named bios.wph (version 4.20).
CrisDisk using the required files are transferred automatically.
I tried plant key combinations, following the instructions of starting (USB->-> start button / stop power cord), such as the FN/WIN + B / F, FN/WIN + ESC.

When I boot with FN/WIN + B / F, it starts only upward 'normally', all the lights on and the screen remains black. USB is not flash or anything.
Using FN + ESC is another story, well that without LEDs light up, except for the power button.
The USB flashes, for a few seconds, and shortly after, the laptop starts to beep.
When I say beep, it really will beep, loud and clear that h * l! 1 long beep 2 short beeps, who will be permanently.

I left it for about 10-15 minutes, but nothing happened. The tones were really strong, so I stopped it.
I tried to make the combination of keys without connecting to USB, and it did the same thing, 1 long + 2 beeps.

So, I'm doing something wrong here?
Also, I wonder if it is possible to reduce the volume of the beeps.

Would be really grateful for any help I can get.

But if it does not, you will need a help from a specialist like Toshiba service technician.

  • BIOS (Block1) damaged - Satellite Pro 6000 - WinXP

    Hello

I tried to update my BIOS from Version 1.3 to 1.6. During this process my child presses the power button. The result is: I am not able to boot the machine. It asks me for a disc of maintenance, because the BIOS (Block1) is damaged. I have no records of maintenance, only some recovery CD they don't work and there is no file *.rom on them.

So, what can I do? Thanks in advance for your answers!
    Mac

    Dear Marcus,

I think you're right, the nightmare of anyone of flashing BIOS/PHONE/CD-PLAYER/I YOU-NAME-IT she lives today. You already know everything, it's never good to get either a bad BIOS, or a loss of power during this procedure.

Every newer BIOS has a protection mechanism which means that even in the case of an incomplete process of flashing, the area responsible for in the BIOS flash for the upgrade is NEVER DELETED. This means that you can download a firmware on your BIOS even if the procedure went wrong last time.
This "flash emergency programme" will automatically launch out of the BIOS when you turn on your laptop and are looking for a *. ROM file on your floppy drive. The floppy disk does not need to be bootable, just it should include this one required file.

I guess, the required ROM file is the same .bin file, which comes with your regularly updated BIOS... just rename in the ROM of the extension, but since I can't take the risk of provide you false information, I suggest you have your laptop repaired by a Toshiba authorized service provider.

There are just TOO MANY things that can hurt, especially if it's the last 'easy' way (without equipment) to get your laptop working again after a BIOS update failed.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite 1800-100: message - Bios block3 damaged

When my Toshiba Satellite 1800-100 startup appears «block3 damaged, please call military...» ». The CPU, memory, RTC battery, main battery, hard disk, power, work correctly.

I tried to update the bios of dk using the F12 key without errors, but the message is the same at the start.
    Please, help me.

    Hello

There is nothing wrong with the hardware of the laptop but only with the BIOS!
I read a few threads on a similar BIOS problem and it seems the BIOS has to be flashed again on the special way!

It should be a message sayingPlace a maintenance disk in the drive and press on enter.
    Am I wrong?
Well, this disc of maintenance is needed to repair the BIOS and only the authorized service provider could do that!

In my opinion, you should contact the ASP in your country for assistance!

    Hi Peter,.

A bios update is written for a chip on the system, not the OS map, then the two operating systems will see the same version of the bios.

  • HP Compaq 2510p Bios update failure (stuck in an eternal loop))

    Hello

I wonder if anyone can advise me please?

I have a HP Compaq 2510p laptop that starts, displays this error message:

"Your Bios did not complete the update"

A few seconds later late in goes to the HP Invent screen. and then again the previous error message. These two screens cycle constantly and there is not only one key that I can use to access the bios settings.

Presseing F9, F10, F12 or F-everything works. No key command does not work. Can I not boot from the internal drive, CD, USB etc.

How can I regain access to this faulty machine to restore or repair the bios please?

Here is a link to the images of the two alternating screens that I'm stuck:
