Hello:

The driver I posted is for these hardware ID's that's all I can tell you.

Here's a partial copy and paste file setup.inf for the pilot which shows the ID you posted.

I have the 6910p, running W10 Pro 64 bit, which is the version 14.1 "display of the model that you have, and the above driver installed these devices basic system very well for me.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with the USB sound card.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to go on the manufacturer's website and download the latest driver available.

  • HP dv6810us 'Base system device' problems AND MORE!

    Hello!

I have a problem I have been struggling with for several months now. I do not know what is happening and am puzzled because. I will describe what is happening as well as I can and expect an answer.

    My laptop is a:

Laptop HP Pavilion Entertainment PC model DV6810us. I run Vista, of course.

I had this laptop for my 16th birthday a year and half ago. As expected, it worked like a power all the time. Around my 17th birthday, he began to have some overheating problems. Attaches easily with some canned air.

However, soon after, I started to have some other, more distinct problems. The first was, on start-up, I've received an error message indicating that the module of HPwinmx (sp?) had stopped working. A few weeks later, I started to receive alerts from Windows with "new hardware found". Specifically, three system of Base and an IEEE 1394 controller devices. At the same time as these physical alerts, my ports series and s-video stopped working, my cd player, as well as my multicard reader.

At this point, all attempts to reinstall the drivers for those devices were unsuccessful.

Needless to say I was due for a while on what was still working. There is not enough money to get the extract. Sometimes, at the start, all these devices would be online for no apparent reason. I reasoned that the material must be end - no melted connections or shorted wires. It must be in the drivers.

Last Thursday, my laptop has informed me that I had no speakers, microphone or headphone jack. Being a music and a drug of Hulu, which could not support. I decided the best way to solve this problem would be to back up my files to an external drive and wipe my laptop to a factory state using System Restore HP. Well, I just finished that about 01:30. And now, nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing changed. Same features, same problems, etc, etc.

I cracked her open to find internal damage. I don't see nothing, for what it's worth. =/. A crossed the CMOS and BIOS for info. No change. However, when I look at my startup journal, he told me what PCI bus are turning back errors. I have been unable to pause and see what he said, and the information was retracted before I could read.

I couldn't be more confused about what is happening here.

For the love of God and all that is holy, just WHAT is going on here?

Most certainly. The cost of a new motherboard is going to be at least $ 250 for you and this is simply too much to spend for a repair. Your parents may think differently. A new motherboard is about $150 online (not of HP they charge more than double that) and labor is about $ 100 to $ 150. You would need to find a reliable repairperson or there are several good online, too.

  • Device base system & coprocessor problem with driver Windows 7 - Pavilion dv9720us

I have a HP Pavilion dv9720us which was very glitch with Vista 32 bit.  After saving all on an external hard drive from Seagate Replica, I did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit.  Everything seems to work, but I get error messages stating that the x 2 Base system device is not working because it doesn't have the correct driver, the coprocessor is also mentioned as not having not the correct driver.  All 3 of these devices are listed in the other devices category in Device Manager.   In addition, my laptop has 4 GB of RAM and still Windows 7 recognizes only 2 GB.  Help!  I deliberately enhanced to reduce the glitchy Vista answers. I could go on Windows 7 32 bit, but I don't know who's going to solve all my problems.

    Thank you very much!

    Kathy

Remove your Ram and install it again.

    Notes:

    1. ensure that, then you have no battery or ac adapter connected to your laptop.

2 Manufacter installed in this model 2048 MB of Ram (2 GB), so if you have not added 2 GB on your own all is ok.

There will always be problems and your really have 4 GB:

You check Ram with Memtest86 + or GoldMemory. Just burn it on CD *.iso file and run the test. You may need to change the boot sequence in the Bios (to get the BIOS press F10 boot).

  • Minor problem with the New Installation of Windows 7 on my Inspiron E1705/9400 - two entries for "Base system device" under "Other devices" with yellow exclamation point

    Hello

First of all, let me tell you about my system.   It is of a laptop Inspiron E1705/9400 with the Core 2 Duo T7400 processor clocked at 2.16 GHZ.   It has 2 GB of RAM and a hard drive on the Hitachi Travelstar nine 500 GB (7200 RPM).   It also has the GeForce Go 7900 GS video card.    Previously, it had Windows XP Professional (32 bit) and worked well.   But, I have three computers in my home and Home Office and would they work better together on my wired home network, so I'm upgrading all three to Windows 7.   My two desktops (a Dimension XPS 420 and the other Dimension XPS 430) seem like they will be no problem to upgrade to Windows 7.   But, this laptop was not on the list of Dell Windows 7 compatibility.   However, the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor that I have downloaded and run seemed to say that it was OK to do a clean install of Windows 7 32-bit and he had only a few minor issues, where it says search the drivers updated from the manufacturer.   Initially, the laptop came with a 100 GB hard drive.   For my use, which becomes very small, so I decided to get the exact same 7200 RPM drive 500 GB size.   This will allow me to do a clean install of the 32 bit Windows 7 OS on the new hard drive and not have to wipe the old disk to do so.   I can just keep the old HD and paste it back whenever I need to get something out of it.

So, here's my minor problem.   After the transfer of some elements off the coast of the old hard drive, I installed the new 500 GB drive and installed a cleaning of the 32-bit version of Windows 7.    I'm happy to announce that I have not had virtually no problems with installation and everything seems to work fine.   He seems a little more zippy than before and I have not met so far that doesn't seem to work.   I went through most of features and almost everything is superb.   But there is a minor problem, showing in Device Manager.   At least, I think it's a minor problem, but maybe someone can give me feedback to know if she is or not.

In the Device Manager list, there is a category called "other devices" now and the icon shows a little white circle with an exclamation mark.    When you expand this category, you see two identical entries that say "Base system device" and the icon has a yellow circle with an exclamation mark inside.     I know from experience that it is not a good thing to see items in the device manager that have a yellow circle with an exclamation point.   I clicked on both of them and neither one really tells you what the device is, or who did what is site you would go to a driver.    On the general tab, it has the following information:

    -Device type Other devices

    Reference of the manufacturer- Unknown

                         Location     -         Bus PCI 3, device 1, function 3

Under device status, it says the following:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the item or a set of device information

To find a driver for this device, click Update driver.

Each of the entries seem to be almost the same thing... but not exactly.   The other has the location

list PCI Bus 3, device 1, function 2... instead of function 1.   This seems to be the only difference.

I tried the button to update the driver, but that doesn't seem to work.   No matter if you say it looks like your

computer or to look for a new driver from the internet, it does not find anything.     As I said at the beginning,

the system seems to work very well... but, given that I don't know what this device is or does, I might be missing something.

He drives me crazy just have these yellow circles with exclamation point hanging out in my device manager.

I could really use some help here.    Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Bryan Ray (Richmond, WILL)

BTW, I just downloaded and installed the driver pack from this ftp location and it worked, even for Windows 8.1 - 64 bit.

    Thanks Steve!

    Download and install:

MediaSmart SmartMenu here (version 3.1.2.2 for 32/64-bit Win7)

Before installing this software, that you must have installed at least a MediaSmart package software. The best choice will be in my opinion:

MediaSmart DVD here (version 4.1.4328 for 32/64-bit Win7)

If you do not use any additional software you can use another product that is:

    3VRX here (version 2.5 for 32/64-bit Win7)

Here is YouTube video that shows what can be done with the 3VRX software.

Once you have installed W7, you have lost the ability to update the BIOS.

All the updates of BIOS for your model series are written for Windows Vista.

Attempt to update the BIOS while running Windows 7 is most likely able to make your laptop unusable afterwards.

I don't see that it was necessary to do anyway.

  • Windows 7 RC - Portege M200 - Base system device

Windows 7 RC works well on my M200, but Device Manager is showing a "other device" without driver loaded. He is described as "Base system device" and properties indicates its location as "PCI Bus 2, device 13, function 0'.

I tried online searches and navigation within my M200 for a driver without success. I read elsewhere in these forums that the 'Base system device' could be tied up with the SD utilities. I downloaded a new copy of the SD utilities and installed them, but still no luck. Certainly, the SD format utility does not work - it recognizes not only an SD card in inserted - so maybe the necessary revision of SD utilities for Windows 7.

Not a major problem as I can format SD cards elsewhere, but it would be nice to receive a certificate of good health from Device Manager.

Has anyone another execution in this problem and even better, found a solution?

    Keith Woolf

You are right about revision. All the drivers, tools and utilities for Windows 7 must be designed and tested before they are offered for download. As you know Windows 7 is not yet on the market and the public support can not be started. With first notebook comes with Windows 7 Toshiba Toshiba will be support for the new site and some old models of laptops.

Sorry but there is nothing you can do about it.

    I use Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).

I saw that I can download the drivers from the HP site, but I'm not really sure which ones do I need to download. Some people recommend that you download the chipset, the audio media and network card drivers for my laptop to try to solve the problem.

I can compare the drivers with the names of device in Device Manager, if that's the best way to go about it. I wanted to just a few tips on the best thing to do.

I have some knowledge of the software, but I don't mess with hardware very much, answers in layman's terms would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your time. If you need some info on my ProBook, let me know.
