Compaq: browser

Don't panic over these but any advice appreciated woulds.

Six months or if there is I was convinced by Microsoft Windows 8 upgrade to Windows 10.   Whether or not the change is an improvement is a matter of opinion.

(1) I prefer to use IE as my browser; among other things, it facilitates Roboform that I find very useful when filling out forms, etc.   Windows 10 has placed edge as a browser that seems to replace IE and frequently travels as unavailable Roboform.   Is there a way to make IE my default browser so that Edge does not overlap?

(2) when I boot, the new hosting with Windows 10 windows blue screen, but the text is Windows 7, something I haven't used for a few years.   Moreover, when I send the people told me that they consider me as being called as Windows 7.   Not even 10 Windows!

(3) since the installation of Windows 10, not only my printer (Epson Stylus 400 color) emergency has stopped being recognized and therefore unusable, many of my required files were produced with Microsoft Works and they do not respond.

If someone has an answer to everything above, I'd love to hear about.

Internet Explorer is still there in 10 Windows.

Control Panel > display icon > default programs > leave the list to fill out (take 3-7 seconds) >

Scroll down, find / click Internet Explorer > Choose defaults for this program >

Select which items you want controlled by IE

In some cases, depending on the circumstances, it is perfectly OK (and perhaps required) to have a few articles (always) managed by the edge, or another favorite browser.

You can adjust the "checked by default" list of questions as necessary until you get the balance you want.

The bits of "Home screen" remaining after the previous migration to W10 may or may not be something you can set as you like.

You can definitely control some of what you see:

Windows key > settings (left) > customization >

Set at will

OR (again):

Right click on a clear view of your desktop > customize

and

Right click on a clear view of your desktop > display

Email configuration "I am windows 10" may be due to

e-mail program > settings > signature

I checked the site Web Epson support page for your printer -(apparently) no drivers for this printer since Vista was.

My first thought is to suggest that you buy a beautiful and brilliant HP Officejet 8740 (series or other).  The smile.

I found this site which claims to have an Epson 400 pilot noted for Windows 8 to print:

Laptops driver - Epson Stylus Color 400

Driver of Windows 8 might be something you can install - before trying this, create a Restore Point:

Stop all programs: browsers, games, Applications, etc.

Control Panel > display icon > System > System of Protection >

Click (highlight) your main disk (C) > select create a Restore Point

I read other people who have had same problems uninstalled the root Web that was installed by Best Buy Geek Squad but I don't see this program in the list of programs.

I have AVG free software anti-virus installed, could this be the problem?

    Help!

    Hello

What you suggest is worth to be tried.  The link below is available for download for Avast Antivirus - this is the free option and just requires you to save email with them in order to activate.  It is also a little lighter on the system resources than moy.

Save the installer to your desktop.

    Avast Antivirus

Once the download is complete, uninstall the free version of AVG, currently, you have installed and restart the computer before installing Avast.  When the Avast installation is complete, reboot the laptop again and see if there is an improvement.

I think this story says it all. The most problematic sites are mainly news sites

It has 1-40 or 45 new photos which can be browsed through by clicking on the arrows. Before the update without problem.

  • SPDIF out on Compaq CQ40-122AX

I have a Compaq CQ40-122AX, running VISTA home basic sp1.

There IDT High Definition Audio built in and a HDMI output. He also says that it will be an available SPDIF output using a HP/Dock. Now, I'd like to use the SPDIF output, but I am reluctant to by the docking station for £200 as advertised on amazon. In the options for the Soundsetup there is a definition available also SPDIF.

IDT HD Audio Codec driver version: 1.0.5934.0

For IDT HD Audio DEVICE driver version: 6.0.6000.16386

    Only the input/output Audio/video are:

    VGA

    HDMI

    Headphone 3.5 mm

    Microphone 3.5 mm

I had a browse autour and found that some HP models spdif output available via the Jack 3.5 mm as optics, when the adapter is plugged it activates an LED inside and that it moves the optical signal to the Toslink cable.

Adapter cable and optical at Maplin

My question is, the SPDIF is accessible on my model of laptop CQ40-122AX with this configuration without the HP docking station or could there be another way? Since there is not in there, it must be possible to access it somehow, and the docking station just seems too expensive to make sense.

    Look forward to hearing responses.

  • How can I find a graphics driver for my hp compaq dc7100 sff

My computer is a Hp compaq dc7100 sff, is to install the operating system is windows 7 32 bit

    Hello:

Please follow these instructions and see if the video driver installed.

Your integrated graphics (GMA 900) is not capable of Windows 7.

I can send you the link for a pilot who has to work a lot better, but you never have Aero.

Here is the link to the driver.

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & CC = US & swItem = ob-47264-1 & mode = 4 & IDX = 0 & prodTypeId = 12454 & prodSeriesId = 3352967

You need run the package. It will extract the drivers and it will then give you an error operating system not supported.

Close the error window and then manually install the driver by clicking on the video controller in Device Manager. Click the driver tab click on update driver. Select the "Browse my computer for the software method.

Navigate to: C:\SWSetup\sp34749, make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

It should be much better than what you have now.

  • Compaq Presario 2029UK: display crashed after update to windows 10

    Hello

I just upgraded to windows 7 to windows 10 and my screen is crushed, regardless which data resolutions I choose.

When I look at the map it reads as follows: Microsoft Basic graphics card.

I checked for updates and two windows and display card driver back the message that they are up-to-date.

When I go to the HP site to download a driver, the only driver to my PC is a lightscribe one. Nothing for the graphics card.

Does anyone know whre I can download a driver to solve the problem, or if there isn't one, how can I get my resolution to be what it was (I don't know what it was but I know that it is not available now).

My screen is a LG Flatron E1940-S-AP

    Hello:

The problem you are having is that Windows has installed a generic graphics driver, so you can see the screen and not much more.

There is no w8.1 or W10 graphics driver for the graphics card to your PC.

Your model is a desktop Compaq Presario Media Center SR2029UK PC?

If so, see if you can manually install the latest Nvidia graphic driver and run the W10.

First of all, download and install this free utility for files.  The 2nd listed file is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

Then download, save, but do not run this graphics driver.

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/82758/en-us

After downloading the above graphic driver file, right-click on it and select 7 - Zip from the list of options.

Have 7-Zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in its folder.

Go to Device Manager, and then click to expand the category of device of graphics cards.

Click on the graphics card of Microsoft Basic.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the driver 7-zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the graphics driver installed.

    Restart the PC.

    Hello:

You must select the 84776.inf file.

If you do not see when you try to browse to the device, try this...

When you arrive at her browse my computer for driver software, simply browse the driver folder, make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

    Hello

I am looking for a software driver coprocessor for compaq presario cq60 for Windows 10 operating system. Windows Update could not find my driver. HP support shows also the coprocessor driver. I think due to not installing the driver the logoff process is very slow and it takes about 8 minutes to close.  If you have the driver, please give me the link to download.  Thank you.

    Hello:

I don't know what file you are talking about.

The sp45168 of 32-bit file, or SMU 64-bit file I have attached.  The 32 bit sp45168 file is a valid exe file.

If you are referring to the SMU 64 bit file that I have attached, everything that you do with, i.e. download and uncompress the latter in his file.

You do not do anything with the files in the folder.  There is no exe file to launch.

You navigate to the folder that you have unpacked from the coprocessor in Device Manager device by clicking the coprocessor, click the driver tab, and then click Update driver, click Browse my computer for driver software option, navigate to the folder of the driver EMS that you unzipped.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

    Hello:

HP does not support your model with drivers for W7.

This is because the graphics card in this model cannot run all the features of W7.

For the graphics, I found a driver that works the graphics, but you won't have aero.

Download and run this driver.  You will probably get an error not supported operating system.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.

I learned a lot from browsing these forums already, for that I thank you.

    Case = Slimline 28cmHx11cmWx35cmL

Specific details: The Pavilion Slimline currently does not start any type of display, so I'm leaning towards a Mobo problem, but have not spent anytime understand? The Presario was a 'noise' the other day according to my wife, but doesn't have a car, I'm leaning towards a rattle HD or a fan?

I'm uncomfortable, disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of components.
I also agree with doing a clean OS install if it is meant to be of value, (where are these records?)
I would use Interface Audio USB Steinberg CI1 MixCraft 6 as my program main recording/editing.

Band in a box will also use.
I currently use these programs/interface with my Acer laptop but have thought of a room dedicated music computer and these computers are available.
If I've left out the relevant details, please let me know.
Thank you for your time and information in advance.
    See you soon!

I would like to start with load Presario noises.

Try the steps in reduction of heat inside the computer to avoid overheating

Computers may have a PCI Express x 16 type 1 cards added to have two monitors. You should be able to add a second drive, according to the free power cable.

The HP Pavilion Slimline do you hear the fans and HDD to start?

Is there a flashing light or sound? If so, what is the model?

Here is a document for the white screen.

  • HP Compaq 8000 Elite SFF: Some HP Windows Media Center buttons on the remote control does not

I have a desktop PC HP Compaq 8000 Elite SFF that I use as a home theater PC.  I'm under Windows Media Center with 2 cards tuner and antennae of the OTA.

With this configuration, I use a HP Remote WMC.  The model No. inside the cover of the remote control battery is TSGH-IR01.  The issue I'm having with the remote control that is stationary and move forward and "back" button do nothing when you press.  The light at the top of the remote control flashes when you press those buttons, so I don't think that the buttons themselves infrared are failing.  All the other buttons on the remote work fine.

I wonder if it is a problem of programming/software and if so, what should I do to solve this problem.   It's annoying to not be able to stop a recorded program is playing when you press the stop button, but having to use a mouse to do it instead.   Any help that can be given will be very appreciated!

For anyone having this problem, I discovered the cause after reading a post on the forums of thegreenbutton.tv.  An application in Chrome or any browser Chrome (in my case, the Slimjet browser) is the culprit.

For me, it was the Plex app.  He was diverting the judgment and move forward and back buttons on my remote HP WMC.  As soon as I disabled the application of Plex, the buttons started working.   Never would have guessed that this was the problem!  Hope this helps someone else who might have the same problem.  Ah, tech.  Isn't beautiful?
