Compaq Presario Cq1-2025. These have a diet?

Have one of these this power just stopped.  I have a little green light in the back, but none of the sounds or beeps or images.  On a regular desktop computer I would just replace the power supply and I'd be ready to go, but I don't think that they have a separate PS and more like a laptop overgrown, with a piece of the motherboard dedicated to provide power.

Is this a candidate for the local recycling bin?

Hello

It IS the power supply. As in my first response, it uses a similar diet with a laptop.

Kind regards.

  • Compaq Presario CQ43

    Hello

I have a Compaq Presario CQ43-102AU and have thought about updates.

Is it possible to upgrade the processor and the RAM?

    Thanks in advance

    -Mike

Certainly an AMD processor can only be upgraded to another AMD processor with the same PIN architecture. He must position the slot in the motherboard. And it must be recognized and compatible with the BIOS of the laptop.

I have now found your product, but HP has not yet posted the Service Manual online, which gives a list of compatible processors.

    Here are the specs:

    http://h10010.www1.HP.com/wwpc/NZ/en/Ho/WF06b/321957-321957-3329742-89318-89318-5059078-5104994.html

I see that you have 2 GB of RAM. Since you also have Windows 7 64-bit, you can easily switch to 4 GB of RAM DDR3 - 1333 computer laptop memory which should be available quite cheap at any computer store. Passage of 2 to 4 concerts will make a world of difference in reactivity.

I would stay away from trying a processor upgrade. The laptop is too recent, and it could void the warranty. I'm sure that you have not paid much for the laptop, and you can probably sell for close to what you paid and get a faster. The unique processors for laptops cost as much as half of what the laptop costs. It is a laptop low end budget and is hampered by a weak graphic system, even with a faster processor, it will not be much you can do with him. If all you are doing is internet and office type work that's fine.

  • Compaq presario notebook CQ71: mother of computer laptop compaq presario CQ71

mother of laptop Compaq presario CQ71

I have a question an abot in Selangor, this motherboard.

the graphics chip is separate or integrated.

My cq71 crashed and stopped working continuous overheating by weak graphics.

so ive decided to spend the whole motherboard.

but I need to know to or if I could spend graphics.

I have already upgraded to the ram for the future graphics card integrated.

also additional guides on how to pass map main would be apprteciated.

No RAM, but you would like to install a better processor, too. Look at the manual for CPU options. They will be pretty inexpensive at this stage. You should also another radiator/heater unit to work with the different video chip. But it adapts to your chassis. The only way to look at this case if you do your own work. Otherwise, the cost will approach the price of a new laptop computer. Even do your own work that you will probably have to spend more than $150.

What is a good replacement that takes in charge a cd/dvd ide burner and sata hard drive for undeer £100. I have also 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM installed.

    Thank you

    Tony

Here are the specifications of your Compaq Presario SR1909UK desktop and it is card mother A8M2N-(NodusM). There is a conflict in the two specifications for what CPU socket is actually used. The computer specifications claim a socket 939 CPU, while the motherboard plug State she has a socket AM2. You will need to examine your system to confirm what type of CPU and socket he did.

It can be difficult to locate a market after motherboard that will meet your needs as AM2 socket 939 about 5 years to 8 years and are several obsolete generation. Check e - Bay or similar in your area for a replacement card which meets you the specifications. Please keep in mind is likely to replace the HP OEM Board on your computer Windows become a "non-genuine" and require the purchase of a new operating system. Note that the recovery discs you created will not be also usable on your computer.

  • Compaq Presario C772TU l: I am not able to connect to internet after upgrade to Windows 10. It doesn't have the drivers LAN or WAN

    Hello
My laptop computer with the Compaq Presario C772TU model number has no internet connectivity fade via LAN or Wifi. There are no drivers. Until now I was using windows 7 (64-bit), and it worked very well. After 10 of Windows it cannot find the drivers!

Please help me to get the drivers. If I go to HP, they have drivers for Windows Vista, which installed but does not work only! Help, please.

    Hello:

The ethernet card, the only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W8.1 directly from Realtek drivers.

    First driver on the list.

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1&PNid=14&PFID=6&level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GETDOWN=false

Do you know what model of wireless network card your PC came with?

The list of parts does not help me because it shows that there may be one of 3 different model wireless network cards.

If you are unsure, please do the following so I can understand what your laptop's model card...

Go to Device Manager.  There should be a category of other devices containing a list of devices that need drivers under this category.

The wireless card is labeled as a network controller.

Click the network controller device, and then click the Details tab in the upper part of the window of network controller device.

Now you should see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.

On this list and select the 3rd point (Hardware ID).

After the first string of characters you see in the window.

Hello ksbear57, the 400 GB hard drive you have installed in your system was bought as a hard drive on the retail, you should have at least a three-year factory warranty.

If you still have the hard drive, you can visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hard drive. Enter the serial number and see if it is still under warranty.

I don't know the DVD burning was the cause of the crash of the hard drive. It may just have decided to expire on it's on.
