Compaq V5000 laptop

I bought a laptop V5000 CP in 2006 and he scored with you at this time.     It is possible that this could be a hardware problem, try the following.

    In the Menu start, open the all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In at the prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

    sfc/scannow                (Note that there is a space between sfc and /)

    Let the entire process, then the output type and press ENTER.

    Go to Device Manager and uninstall the keyboard like you did before.

    Then shut down the computer, disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

    Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

    I just bought a 2nd hand HP Compaq nc6400 laptop (XP Professional) and it did not come with Recovery CD, so I wanted to know if there is a way for me to create these.

    I want to create a CD of recovery like that normally, you get when you buy a compluter again, can I use to reinstall the operating system (win XP Prof) in the case of a major on my laptop problem/mistake, which is to put the cd in the restart of the computer laptop and follow the instructions on the screen to restore the computer to its factory settings.

    I searched the HP support site and found a lot of info, but I'm confused way forward.

    Is this possible and can someone please help/guide me on how to do this?

    install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and try again if necessary.

    Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check manually
    by model.

    The c700 series uses SATA hard drives and Windows XP will not see a SATA hard drive without help. You have to load the driver for a SATA hard drive with the installation disk XP in "slipstreaming" of the pilot in the disc or using a usb floppy drive. Windows Vista and 7 and 8 will work fine with SATA drives out of the box. Post back for more information or see here:

    Yours is one of the models of "moderate." Simply follow the instructions on the link, or by post if you need help. You can also go into the BIOS and disable native SATA so that the system detects the disc as an ordinary IDE drive. You may be losing 5-10% of the performance of the car like that, but it's possible although difficult to set it to the native SATA after installation of XP.

    I discovered that there are several users also installed, so I made a recovery sys, who has a real fine, but users were still there... So, I decided to format the c: drive, reinstall XP! Too late! I realized that the recovery system would be too lost... Now I have the D: (recocery Image), but no way to activate the preload process, which would format and reinstall the original version of XP complete with intact all of the initial recovery of files...

    This left me with this delema, as I DO not want to restore my laptop to original factory preload State...

  • No sound of Compaq Presario v5000 laptop

    [1] - after you install several drivers using Driver Detective PC Drivers HeadQuarters, I have no sound at all! The latest driver I installed was Conexant AC - Link Audio.

    [2] - I can't go even to a previous Restore Point because I get the message "restore incomplete.

    [3] - in Device Manager, under sound, video and game controllers, there is no Conexant AC-Link Audio listed. [4] - there are, however, multimedia Audio Controller with an exclamation point in a yellow circle. I have advanced and disabled it.

    [5]-J' downloaded the driver Conexant AC - Link Audio of HP.COM yesterday. I stopped the installation, however, due to an alert pop up: "..." has not passed Windows Logo testing... ». I had received this alert even with the pilot of the other's company, but I have advanced and tried to install it in any case. This time I thought that I better not.

     

    [6] - in the control panel > sounds and Audio Devices Properties > tab Volume: next to the "speaker" icon, it says "no Audio device". -[7] - in addition, the audio icon that used to be at the bottom right in the taskbar is gone.

    Problem solved - sound is back. In Control Panel >... > Sound and Audio Devices Properties > peripheral Audio default tab was "#0 Modem line Playback". I clicked on the expandable arrow and he had "Conexant AMC Audio".  When I chose just one, the grayed - cela buttons have become accessible and my sound is back.

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem you face is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features is the specialized drivers written for the specific in your HP PC hardware - and unfortunately, there is no driver HP Win10 for your PC. HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for machines manufactured after August 2013. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

    This means that your PC is probably NEVER going to be fully functional under Win10 because the pilots is needs for all features simply do not exist!

    So basically, you shouldn't spend your PC at Win10.

    The following assumes that you are trying to install a 64-bit Windows 7 version and the HARD drive has a Table of Partition GUID.
