Compatibility of screen Tecra M2.

I need to buy a replacement for a Tecra M2 PTM20E 01KWY screen - 7 d. Do you know how many pins the connection for this model? I find it difficult to find this information. I don't know what to buy.

Hmm all I know is that Tecra M2 was fitted with LCD XGA 14.1 "display

I found a site that provides screens for Tecra M2 series:
http://www.screentekinc.com/toshiba__Tecra__M2-series-laptops-LCD-screens.shtml

As you can see that a new LCD is not cheap. Maybe you should be looking for a second hand Tecra M2.

  • Crash blue screen Tecra M4

    Hello
I've been a satisfied customer of Toshiba Tecra M4 until recently. Lately and is getting worse every day, I have known many of these blue-screen breaks down in which a physical memory dump takes place and usually a different file is mentioned (a dll windows or vga or a number of other types of files). He also mentioned to disable memory cache or shading, but I can't find these options in the Bios or anywhere else...? I also checked all my drivers and nothing seems to be wrong, as well as checked if there were updates the Bios, but could not find.

I bought my tablet in the United States but now live in Germany. I've had for about half a year now and never experienced this before a few weeks, although last week, I can't do anything without it crashing.

As soon as I bought the camera I added 1 GB of RAM, but I doubt that because he didn't at the time. I seem to have tried everything, and it won't go away, advice? And if it comes down to it, where can I send it to get repaired or replaced? My warranty is still good... Thanks for all the help
    Good bye

PS: I also had a problem with the display, it seems dust was formed between the lcd and the top cover, this problem has been worse and worse yet, I don't know how they do, but they will not disappear... so my best bet is to send it in for repair or replacement, where I could do so, who should I contact , (again, I have now live in Germany, but made my purchase in the United States)
    Thank you...

    Hi Philippe

On this path, it is not easy to tell exactly what is happening with your laptop. In my detailed problem just opinion analysis can give precise answers. If you can not work more comfortably backup your data and reinstall the OS using a supplied recovery media.

On this way the unit will be own pre-installed and hardware and software should work smoothly again. I put t know what kind of warranty you have, but it is possible that you will have some problems with the security here in Europe. I'm not sure about this, but you can request that the partner of service in your country.

You can find them under http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?pf=true.

Good luck and I hope that you will be satisfied again!

  • Bribery of screen Tecra M5

    Hello

I am using my Tecra M5 for about 8 months and it has developed screen corruption. The corruption of the screen is visible both on the screen of the laptop or when you use an external TFT monitor. Corruption appears, as far as I can see, on my background picture or on websites with graphics (photos, banners, etc.). Web sites that are for the most part, the text based, show not all the corruption. Corruption will disappear after a reboot of the system, but soon reappears after a few minutes of use. Here is a link to a screenshot of the problem: http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/7314/screenab2.jpg

Any ideas on how to fix this please?

    Thanks in advance.

Hmm sounds a little like a graphics card would be malfunctions
But hey Jon, have you checked if there s no software?

I recommend you first update the graphics driver.

    Black screen (problem)

When installing EVGA GTX 650 ti SSC

Try installing an EVGA GTX 650 ti SSC in a h8-1455 HP with a 460w power supply.  I uninstalled the 7570 AMD drivers and disabled startup secured on the motherboard (EVGA support).  I'm leaning towards what is either a related problem of bios, or not enough power through the connector 6-pin.  I tried two different cards same question.

    Any other ideas?

Fixed.  In addition to a new power supply and by disabling secure startup, you must also enable legacy support.  Found a thread on a site of Nvidia.

  • Two issues CSS browser compatibility and screen resolution.

    Hi all

There are two things that I really need to know how to do. My apologies if they are not very well explained.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the code for:

    1. Center of the elements.

I want the entire Center site, so that, regardless of the screen resolution of the user, the Web site will be always centered.

2 adapt the whole page Web site - no more, no less.

So, regardless of the resolution of the screen or the user's browser, the site is always the entire page. The blue border on the Facebook home page, for example.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Center of the elements.

I want the entire Center site, so that, regardless of the screen resolution of the user, the Web site will be always centered.

You create a container, give it a width and then use margins to Center

for example: this will bring a container wide 980px, with 0 margin at the top (is recessed in the top of the browser) and the car left and right margins.

    {#wrapper}

    Width: 980px;

    margin: 0 auto;

    }

2 adapt the whole page Web site - no more, no less.

So, regardless of the resolution of the screen or the user's browser, the site is always the entire page. The blue border on the Facebook home page, for example.

You would seek to create a flexible development or liquid in this case... so that any window of browser size displays the page, the page will stretch or shrink.

You can always get the look "facebook" with a background image repeated in the section header and footer and a centered fixed width in the Middle content area.  It doesn't have to be a modular layout.

  • Replacing screen on a Tecra A10

    Dear forum members
I would like to know if you have a broken on those screen tecra A10, we could eliminate a screen from another similar machine that is faulty, but has an intact screen.

In this regard, I had a look on the Tecra A10 screen cover but for the life of me can not establish how you would get the screen on the cover and also how to disassemble the lid of the machine, we'll install the screen.

I would be very grateful if someone would kindly advise please in this case

    Best wishes
    Ian

    Hello

You won't find that everything disassemble manuals on the pages of Toshiba.
You can find manuals the user only for models of simple laptops that are provided for ordinary users.

I guess you will need to search on the internet for some details how to disassemble the Tecra A10.
Use google and search + Tecra A10 irisvista +.
Then you should get a few hits on Tecra A10 disassembly

  • Unable to create the internet site at 1024 x 768 on Tecra A9

It's my problem. I always worked on a laptop Toshiba Satellite with a screen square (75 "wide). The resolution is set to 1024 x 768 (the maximum). + On this format, I founded applications page layout for my wordpress blog. font size and photo sizes. +

Now, I have a new laptop on the side, Toshiba Tecra A9, it has a screen of 82.5 "and the resolution is Vista-set to a maximum of 1680 x 1050.
Quality large screen, except for one thing: the reproduction of the pages of my blog (and in fact all the pages of the website) is ridiculous!
The pages fill is more than 80% of the space of the screen of the monitor, but only 50%. This dwarfs bar that was once my blog page is literally floating in empty space otherwise.

OK, I understand that one set standard must meet the new monitors somehow. But it happens in all the wrong ways. Compared to my 'old' image of the screen, the police of my texts swells now screaming size, while at the same time, have the images published + shrunk. +, this means a substantial loss of detail.

I discovered that I can 'restore' it using the utility of Zoom and enlarge the view to 150%, the blogpage will cover most of the screen space, and images are wonderfully great. But the text already blown up expands as is good-no longer shouting at viewers, but Thunder...

This cannot be the way it works. First of all: no surfer will take the trouble to play the magnify option.
Now I have been able to reduce + sizes of the police in the HTML of my blog section for a normal effect. But this means that on my old screen (and I guess on that of all the others who are still working with a 3/4 "outdated" screen), texts will appear too small and unreadable.

I checked my setup screen Tecra over and over again, can find no fault there.
I've experimented with different choices of resolution, it is clear that the Tecra screen is designed for maximum results. .

So what is happening, and how can I fix without losing on one of two different detection systems?

    > Now, I have a new laptop on the side, Toshiba Tecra A9, it has a screen of 82.5 "and the resolution is Vista-game to a maximum of 1680 x 1050. Quality large screen, except for one thing: the reproduction of the pages of my blog.

Sorry, but buddy I put t understand why post you this here in Toshiba forum?
The point is that you question has nothing to do with the laptop but only with your Web site design problem.

Many notebooks (not only the portable Toshiba) are equipped with the 15.4 wide screen XGA and there are a lot of people (me too) who, Web design on portable computers with these screens.

The fact is that, if your screen resolution is not set to 1024 x 768, then you must use the tools of additional web design (for example; Extension for Firefox: web developer tool bar) or you can use the special functions on s graphics program intensify or reduce the images or the entire site to your favorite resolution.

I would recommend a few professional sites on Web design / webdevelopment for details.

  • Portege M200 display issues

Hello. I just got my new M200 tablet pc, but the display is sluggy compared to my screen Tecra S1. Looks like there is something on top of the display Assembly that makes sluggy image and the colors too. This can be seen especially on white background. Is there a plastic to remove, because I looked and I think he does not like or is it normal for the tablet PC?

    Hello

The Portege M200 LCD screen is covered with a protective mask. This protective film is integrated into the LCD mask to prevent scratches on the LCD Panel - caused from dirt or handling - caused by the use of the pen.
You can't compare these two screens (Portege Tecra) for Portege is tablet pc with the protective mask and Tecra has a very different display with other properties.

Yes you can try to identify the hardware info induvidually and download the drivers from the website of its manufacturer, it may or may not work.

The best way is to restore the operating system to the factory delivered one, so it shouldn't have any problems with the NB.

You can order the CD from recovery online or call HP.

  • Re: Tecra M9 and screen compatibility

    Hello

I was wonderuing if anyone knew if a M10 screen is compatible with a model M9 that I have been informed that the M9 screen became EOL and cannot be imposed.

    Thank you
    Peter

    Hey,.

I think that this question can't be answered here because it s only a user to user forum. In this case, you will need to ask a service provider authorized or let's say a laptop technician. They should be able to tell if the screen fits.

By the way: year ASP can order all the original parts of Toshiba and a display for Tecra M9 I also think. Just ask for this and they will try to help you.
On the Toshiba site, you can search for an ASP.

  • Blue screen on Tecra A9

    Hello

I just bought a Tecra A9... which were pre-installed with Vista. For three weeks, I kept minimum software on this subject...

    Opera
    Thunderbird
    Firefox
    EditPlus
    SmartFTP

and it blue screened on me about 4 times a day. EditPlus (a text editor) would also frequently crash... apparently when using the touchpad.

I then moved to XP. Same thing.

Toshiba has graciously replaced the laptop for me... I now have a new one with XP on it... and it's blue-screening on me 4 or 5 times a day.

Does anyone have an idea what could be causing these accidents? Or where I would start looking?

    See you soon

    Nick

The BSOD appears usually due to a hardware problem or a software error that serious (compatibility issues).

I think that in your case, the issue could be related to software because the laptop has been replaced and it happens again.

You should check if the same BSOD will appear using the preinstalled image of Toshiba.
Don t install all applications 3rd but use ONLY factory from Toshiba.
So let's run the laptop for several hours and test.

If a BSOD is not then your installed 3rd party causes programs that issue!
