  I am trying to add a new MSI video card to my Envy H8-1414 office. It's the map:

  When I add the map with the OEM PSU, I get 6 long beeps. I added a block of POWER W 550 and the beeps go, but I have no video. I contacted MSI and they say that power is sufficient, but I need to check with HP to ensure that the BIOS can support the map. I checked the HP support site and I see no BIOS updates for this machine.

  The card is PCI Express x 16 3.0 and 2.0 just says HP motherboard so I wonder if it is simply not compatible.

  Temoporarily remove the new video card. Connect your display to the video embedded right on the port at the back of the PC.

  Enter the BIOS and go to the Security tab click on secure boot configuration.

  

  The next screen will resemble the following image. Press the F10 key to commit the change

  

  Verify that secure boot is set to disable. Press the F10 key. Exit the BIOS. Shut down the PC and install the new video card. Plug the connector of display on the appropriate video output port. Turn on your PC

  I am in the United Kingdom and is looking to buy an XPS m1530 coming "Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-Card (no other option available).  I have a router g in my house and I was wondering if this card will allow me to connect to the Internet via the existing router?

  Googling suggests the card is the 4965 INTEL PROSet, that should work, but I really want to make sure.  After buying the laptop, I'm not sure that I will be able to splash out on a new router in the near future!

  Any help very appreciated, and sorry if it receives an answer in the FAQ - I just did not understand what I was reading in there!

He wants to install a 770gtx but it seems impossible because of lower power, not enough distance to place it in the pc box and has problems with motherboard bios "IPMMB-FM (Formosa)" it seems has no compatibility with the 770gtx series and others... causing a black screen at startup bios.

  Apply the update posted last BIOS prior to a new installation of the graphics card.  You'll need to access the BIOS and disable Secure Boot to apply the update to the BIOS.

  The h8-1403es HP has 460 watts power, so if you do not want to replace the power supply then you need to find a graphics card that meets the minimum power of 460 watts nominal power graphics card manufacturers.

  If your friend wants a faster than the 640 graphics card then space must be freed up on the inside to adapt to a double wide graphics especially if the graphics card is of the order of the 770 of NVIDIA.  Graphics in the NVIDIA 770 range would require a bigger power supply.

  Sapphire R7 250 would be much better than the 640, but not in the range of the 770 of NVIDIA.
