Compilation of CS4 Plugin on OSX 10.6

I am trying to compile the plugin example "BasicMenu.sdk" since the product CS4 on MAC OS x 10.6 SDK and get the following errors

Do I have to change to make it work or is not possible more to compile on OSX 10.6 CS4 plugins?

You can install other versions of mac os sdk when you install xcode - I have the

10.4 sdk installed (even if on 10.6) and version CS4 against that.  You need

to do the same.

    The correct path to the file "FormatNumber.h" is included in the other definition include paths. If I remove the include of the SDKDef.h statement the plugin compiles correctly, what don't get me?

    Are you sure that you specified the correct path for the compiler c ++ and the resource compiler?

    In your project properties, resources-> section General, that you can turn view the progress view more messages.

  • Problem compiling with Xcode plugin sample

    Hi all

    I'm having a problem of compiling a sample plugin in the SDK ("BasicPlugin") using Xcode on Mac OS. Xcode build error is "name"CursHandle"unknown type". The error occurs in two source files: AVExpT.h and SafeResources.h. I can't find any header provided with the Acrobat SDK kit that defines the type of CursHandle.

    I'm on Mac OS 10.8.4 and Xcode 4.6.3.

    The SDK documentation says that the SDK is only compatible with Xcode 2.x; elsewhere in the documentation it says that it was compatible with Xcode 3.2 and 3.3. What is the reason for the above error? It is not possible for me to install the old version of Xcode, because I'm running 10.8 OX, and older versions are not compatible.

    I would be very grateful for any help.

    Yes, the software SDK still uses characteristic of carbon (even if Acrobat itself does not use anything carbon).   Therefore, you need an older version of Xcode that talks about carbon.

    Consider using a virtual machine from a certain flavor to run an earlier version of Mac OS and Xcode.

  • [CS4] Indesign CS3 CS4 plugin Porting c ++ linking error

    I'm hoping to improve our current plugin to the latest version of Indesign CS4.

    I downloaded and unpacked the new SDK of Indesign CS4 and reading the guide of Portage.  I've not seen anything obvious on this issue.

    It is using Visual Studio 2005 SP1 with InDesignCS4ProductsSDK_Build578.

    It seems that through the headers that I don't end up with compilation problems.  However, by linking my project current is unable to find just a couple of external symbols.

    Depending on what your filter (that is, if it leaves an effect or if it changes only the art), he can add a message in the appearance Panel.     If after using the help much appreciated here on the forums, I managed to load a third party DLL that I needed to use in my plugin on Windows.  Now I'm moving on OSX and have a .dylib file, which is actually the equivalent of the DLL in OSX.  My question is how can I properly load the .dylib on OSX for my plugin to work in AE?

    Ah, ok, that should make things easier. So where do you put your dylib file? Even as with Windows, it must be in a location that is referenced in the path environment variable or the location of the calling application. Easy to test thing will probably be if you put it in/usr/lib or/usr/lib (for global access) or for only the current user's ~/lib.

  • CS4 plugin installation path

    Hey Petro,

    The Wow6432Node is for the specific case of the installation of a 32-bit application on a 64 bit OS.  And it is not specific to Premiere Pro CS4, but has to do with the registry redirectory on 64-bit operating systems: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa384232%28v=VS.85%29.aspx

    First Pro CS5 being a native app 64-bit, it will create again the initially documented, without the Wow6432Node on 64-bit OS registry keys.

    Have a look at the readme, it seems you're supposed to download framework files manually before installing the plugin, which is obviously a problem for PhoneGap Build. I ping someone on this issue, apparently the CSDK framework files are too big to github, but we are looking at ways to address this issue. But unfortunately I think that for the moment BMPS to bear not only pugin.

    I just re-formatted my Macbook Pro set (all wiped and reinstalled programs). I reinstalled my CS4 (version 6.0) of a disk.

    When I try to open an .indd file in InDesign I created before I wiped my computer, I get a pop-up that says ' Missing Plug-Ins: the document uses 1 or more plug-ins are not currently available on your system. " You want to open it anyway? »

    Then I click OK.

    Can I get another pop up that says "cannot open the file. Please update your plug-ins their versions the latest or upgrade to the latest version of Adobe InDesign.

    Then I click OK.

    When I open Adobe Updater, I get a message that says "there no updates available at this time. "Please note that some updates for the following products cannot be determined at this time: Adobe Updater.

    The same thing happened when I tried to open something on Illustrator.

    For your information, I have a Macbook Pro mid-2012, running on OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 version.

    Please help I have a few pressing creative projects and cannot work without my CS4.

    Copy the following code in the CS4 SDK was written for version 4.0 initial, where GetExportSourceInfo (kExportInfo_VideoFrameRate) originally returned a float value.  In 4.0.1 this was changed (to be simpler for developers) to return a PrTime value.  So in version CS5 SDK, code now looks like this:

    exportInfoSuite-> GetExportSourceInfo)

    kExportInfo_VideoFrameRate,
    (& seqFrameRate);

    ...

    frameRateValues.value.timeValue = seqFrameRate.mInt64;

    So that it now uses the mInt64 union member, because PrTime is a 64-bit int.

    To convert PrTime to a float, the SDK Guide, Chapter 3, section from time to time, reads: "when a cadence is represented as a PrTime, the frame rate is the number of ticks in a time frame.  The number of beats per second must be retrieved by using the callback as a result of the time. "So just divide the PrTime value by ticks per second returned by GetTicksPerSecond().

  • AE CS4, plugin Keylight, rendering time and specification of the machine

    I do a show which takes 15-20 minutes.  We use a wall of chroma chroma (green) and various images and graphics in the background.  It's a show of several camera.

    The chroma chroma Keylight for AE plugin is amazing. The finished file looked very good, but it really took a lot of time to render.  More than 25 minutes for a test of a minute sequence.  If I had to make it 15-20 minutes, it could take all day.  Is this normal for these long there rendered moments on clips matched with this plugin?

    My machine is an older machine.  Win XP SP3, HP/compaq dc7600, Duo core, both 3.4 GHz, 3 GB of RAM.  If I had to update this machine, which would be optimal for the shortest rendering time?

    I found a quantity of decent info on how to use the plugin, but not big thing on recommended card machine or times normal.  Where can I find more information on the card of what machine are needed to take full advantage of tools and plugins of EI?

    MMH, Yes, it's still ambiguous to advise on the matter. For your business a Core2Duo should be just fine. Just make sure it is later a (8600 E currently). I wouldn't bother with a Core2Quad in your situation - if there is no hope of improvement, what be soon, it's a bit pointless to invest in a more expensive processor and motherboard. Given the fast-paced development cycles, you buy a computer for the next 2 or 3 years and already in a few months to not consider any worthy material updates. At best, so I'd go for a new AMD Phenom II X 4 because it's much cheaper while offering better performance (current quads of intel are a little behind). Yet, would be exaggerated, especially if we consider that "crunchy" all can be more important for you, to get fast feedback while you work more predictable rendering times. The performance by heart is less about quad systems, they burn only if you use the hearts of all time, that your proposed combination would not. AE and many plug-ins don't are not especially optimized in terms of multithreading and if you use the option to make several images at the same time would compensate, is another matter. Definitely get these 8 GB of RAM and Vista 64 Business or Ultimate, so you can max on the memory of EI usage and are on the right side, when future versions are going to 64-bit. For the graphics card, settle on a GeForce normal 275 / 285, not a multi-GPU as 295 card. With regard to the suggestions of the brand - Dell and HP are trustworthy, but not the cheapest.     Languages are the specific serial number. You cannot change on the fly. If you have your serial number, you need to install it in English. anything beyond that is a hack as localization of the stripping app package files...
