Complete process, returns "access denied."

Hello

I'm having a problem on Windows 8 with some process, so far it's Skype and Battlefield 3. These processes sometimes freeze and get into a State where I can not kill them. Taskkill /F does not work, not even in a shell of admin, not even as LOCAL_SERVICE or SYSTEM, even in mode kernel with process hacker, the only way I found to get rid of them has been reset. Each taskkill returns "Access denied" and Hacker process refers to "an attempt was made to access a departure process."
For Skype, sometimes randomly when it runs. I have not had any problems with him about a month ago, but then it started to do it, he continues to receive messages and I can't restart because I can't kill him. The first few times, it might happen after running for hours, but it became more more frequent, now it freezes as soon as I start it so I can't use it at all.
For Battlefield 3 happens each time I have to stop the game. The game freezes and goes into this State and so I have to reboot if I want to play again, which is very annoying.
I tried to reinstall both, he sometimes corrected the bug for a day or two, but he comes back later.
As the termination does not in kernel mode, I guess it's a bug in the operating system. Is there any known fix?
Thank you

The question, as far as I found out, is when running the service ICS (Internet connection sharing)
Spotify also had this same problem when Windows 8 is out, but after a few months with complaints and the tests on the forums of Spotify they finally fixed (the community this box has discovered that the problem was ICS, Spotify has just said "It's a problem with Windows 8", although Windows 7 also had, although not so often)

I don't have this problem with Skype more, and it was also quite rare.

But most of the time when I left BF3, it freezes a give me "Access denied" when I try to kill the process (also tried with Process Explorer and process Hacker 2)
This only happens when I have ICS on.
I have my office connected with a wire and then share the connection via WiFi (I'm only alloved to use intellectual property, so I have to do it this way).

  • Access denied issue on the image in the 4.2.2.00.11 version (initiated please?)

We noticed that the latest APEX 4.2.2.00.11 allowed a kind of security on the image recovery. That's what happens.

    In a new browser and type it without going to any page APEX: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file?p_security_group_id=14220352402476151130 & p_flow_id = 69533 & p_fname = login.jpg
You will see the message "access denied." Now, if you go to a page of the APEX, refresh that URL and the image appears. We found that it's a cookie that makes the difference. When loading a page of APEX, some cookies are created in your browser. Is necessary for the display of the image.

Can anyone tell how to disable this security check? It can't all older versions. I'm also curious what was done by the team of product development in Oracle.

Why should he care to this topic? The reason is that we used a Java (stored in Oracle db) application to export pages, including images in PDF format. Now the PDF file shows images because of this security check.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Task Manager give me an access denied error when I try to set the affinity or end a process.

    Hello
I tried to change some of the settings of my PC compared to a game do not set up for dual-core systems.
I tried to change the affinity settings in the Task Manager and I get an error of access denied even if I have one in an administrator account. I am the only user of this system and it is very frustrating to be unable to edit my own settings.  I am running Vista 32 home edition on a system of dual-core AMD.
I also tried to change the affinity with the line of the command prompt and change the shortcut to do so, but this did not succeed. The command prompt will not find the program and when I use the shortcut to set the affinity with the command prompt, it didn't he open the window command prompt and nothing else.  If someone could give me a hand here, I'd appreciate it.  I am familiar with specific vagaries of Vista and I'm getting a little angry.

Do you have UAC turned on?

If you do, then, when you're in the Manager of tasks under the processes tab, select "Show processes from all users" accept the UAC prompt.
This will be the the Task Manager with your administrator privileges. You should now be able to set the affinity.

You may need to restore the permissions on your user account. To do this, start on your recovery partition (hold down the command and R during startup) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In the Terminal, type: 'resetpassword' (without the), press return, and then select the admin user. You do not have to reset your password. Click the icon of your Mac hard drive at the top. In the list box below, select the user account that has problems. At the bottom of the window, you will see a box labeled restore Home Directory permissions and ACLs. Click the button to reset there. The process takes a few minutes. When you're finished, restart.

I checked my system and performed the following tasks to try to resolve the problem:
My version of Windows is up-to-date. I have no problem hardware or exceptional driver. I tried to temporarily disable my antivirus to complete the installation, this does not solve the problem. I tried to install it as a system administrator. I searched the site of Valve/steam software for a solution, none were found (http://store.steampowered.com/). I searched the database of Microsoft for a solution, none were found. I'm having no problem with other games or applications that were loaded on that computer. The problem is only with the application steam.exe and any game that requires the application of steam to the function.
    I came across the following link which has promised to solve the problem;
    http://www.bing.com/search?mkt=en-us&q=steam%20error%20Win32%20error%205

I followed the instructions at three times, all with the same error message.
The default program is responsible for the following: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Steam.
I tried to load the program on different hard disks and got the same error code.
I have triple checked all user profiles to make sure that the appropriate privileges have been set (Admin). I checked all the steam program elements to ensure that they have been set to run as a program director executed. I double checked that proper TCP/UDP ports are open for the application of the steam function. http://www.resoo.org/docs/Counterstrike/steam_ports.html
Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Platinum,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Vista Community Forums.

This error is primarily caused by a lack of permissions for the user, having the Steam.exe file attributes set to 'Read only', or by another program interferes with the installation of Steam process (if the steam client application has been updated to a version that was not included in your package of Steam, Steam will download a new copy of itself and then delete the old file Steam.exe except when another program interferes).

    1. check your Windows user permissions.
Please ensure that you are logged on as administrator on the computer that you use to install Steam.
    2. check the file attributes
    3. right click on the file Steam.exe, which was created after running the Steam Installer, and then select Properties
4 uncheck the read-only box if it is checked and hit apply before closing the window
    5. try running the Steam.exe file once more
    6. check the settings of your security software

If you are running an antivirus, firewall or any product safety program that may interfere with the removal and replacement of the file Steam.exe (some security software will check information of a file whenever it is changed and block the automatic replacement of files) Please check your settings for the program and ensure that you are prompted to authorize activities that may trigger the security software.

Remove spyware, Adware and virus software and try to run the installation again.

In addition to the steps above, follow these steps:
    1. go in C:/Program Files/Steam /.
    2. right click on Steam.exe and go to properties.
    3. click on the Compatibility tab.
    4. check run as administrator and click OK.
    5. then I deleted StemeTemp (or something like that. the steam icon).
    6. then run Steme.exe again.

    It will be useful.

  • Don't update the graphics drivers Vista 64 ('Access denied' / 80070005)

This has been quite a problem persisting for a while now and I'm not about to set. I have two points of Dell (a desktop and a laptop), both using Vista 64 and nVidia Quadro graphics cards and both have same problem. Earlier, a driver update attempted to settle on Windows Update, but it failed, citing the 80070005 error. After the next restart, completely graphics card drivers did not work at all, forcing windows to return to the graphics compatibility mode. New attempts to update or reinstall the drivers of graphics cards were just as futile. I tried both Windows Update and a downloaded version of nVidia drivers but none worked (the more I get in the way of error messages, it is "Access denied"). I also tried to completely uninstall the drivers and by removing the device in Device Manager, but still no luck. At the end of the day, I did a system restore, but this is not ideal, because the recommended update reappeared in Windows Update again and I have to keep it from settling each time that manually.

After fishing trawl the internet for advice, I tried all sorts but in vain. I tried to disable my Anti Virus, using subinacl (and others) to restore registry permissions, rename the softwaredistributions folder, run in administrator mode, check the permissions of the update service and checking the status of execution protection. Nothing helps, so any suggestions are appreciated.

    Hello

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Follow the instructions below that may help you resolve the issue.

    Method 1:

Microsoft has released a new "Fix it" solution that should automatically solve your problems with Windows Update.  Just click on the link below and follow the instructions.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

If this does not work, download and install the update to windows safe mode.

Check whether the problem is resolved.

    Method 2:

Try to download and install windows updates which fails to install manually.

Download the update and install it in safe mode.

    Method 3:

Follow the instructions in the link below to perform the clean boot procedure, which could help solve the problem of the Windows movie maker.

Step 1: Perform a clean boot

Step 2: Enable half the services

Step 3: Determine whether the problem returns

Step 4: Enable half of the startup items
Step 5: Determine whether the problem returns

    Step 6: Resolve the problem

Step 7: Reset the computer to start as usual

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

After checking the problem, turn the computer back to the Normal mode.

Uninstall or update the program that is causing the problem.

Check whether the problem is resolved.

    Method 4:

In Windows Vista, the built-in Administrator account is disabled by default. In previous versions of Windows, an administrator account was created automatically during Out-of-Box-Experience (OOBE) with a blank password.

An account administrator with a blank password is a security risk. To better protect the system, the built-in Administrator account is disabled by default in all new installations and upgrades of Windows Vista.

HOW to: Enable the build-in the administrator account in Windows Vista

    Hello

If it is necessary to download the programs below on another computer and transfer it to this one
on removable media (such as CD, DVD or USB drives). Rename the .exe programs to
such as MBAM.exe to XXSCAN.COM .com - rename when analysis completed.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be done in Safe Mode - repeatedly, press F8 as you start however, you should also

My questions below are based on the assumption that I'm not able to access these files on my Win XP system. If this assumption is incorrect, so please let me know.

I have a laptop that I don't use and put the disk in it. I was hoping it would be plug and play all the new material, but after reading a little online, I know that this is not the best thing to do and will probably not work as did the earlier versions of Windows.

In the end, I care retrieves the contents of the disc, although it would be great if I could lend my laptop for a few weeks with "its files" until it sorts how to replace the laptop.

Can I get the player Win7x64 working on the laptop computer of replacement by reinstalling Win7x64 on this laptop? I'm not "means a clean install/reformat, but have rather the Setup program detects an existing installation, and do its magic to get the operating system runs on new hardware?"

I know that this raises questions of MS licenses. If the installation process could get his old system running on the laptop replacement, if I have a small window of time completely to access his files before being forced to re-register the OS? I'm hoping so.

I'm looking for only a short-term solution - I do not recommend that he hopes that drive long term because the laptop got quite truncated of the accident, and once he gets a new laptop it will have everything he needs on this subject (OS, licenses, etc.). If I have a small window of time where I can simply copy their important files, or to lend him my laptop with its player and him can bring to its domestic network and the print out of all the things that are important, that it's going to be all together to move them to a new laptop when it is available.

    Thank you

    Hello

You experience this problem because of the permissions applied to these s folder.  To resolve this problem, you will need to take ownership of these files and folders.

Method 1: You can follow the steps mentioned in the link below to take possession of the records

Troubleshoot "access denied" when opening files or folders

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-access-denied-when-opening-files-or-folders

(Article above applies to Windows Vista, not valid for Windows XP)

Also check out the article below

Method 2:  You can try a custom installation (not a format\clean facility).

See the link below for custom installation
using the install option custom without formatting the hard drive

Note: In custom installation only data would be transferred in Windows. Drivers, applications and the old folder will need to be reinstalled.
