compose an email with speech recognition

I was able to compose of 3 emails using speech recognition earlier today.  Now, I can't do squat!  He does not do anything!  He just telling me * what was that * no matter how many times I tried and I tried a lot of THINGS!  I even took the tutorial 3 times and still nothing!  (tutorial shows nothing about its use in e-mails)  Someone know a tutorial to compose an email with the word, or have any advice?

So sorry!  Gmail.  I also tried it in my Yahoo email as well, but he stopped working there, too.

Just dictated several E-mail in Gmail. Trick is that having WSR (Windows speech recognition) began before from Gmail.

    • Right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar to bottom left. It looks like this:

    • Make sure that the microphone you use (USB, with analog connectors or built into the computer) is set as the default value.
    • Speak into the microphone. The counter to the right of your microphone volume must move up and down like you're talking about. If it is not the case, click on properties, then on levels and level to about 75% of the value.

  • Problem with speech recognition in Windows 7 and MS Word 2010 - strange window opens

I have been using speech recognition in Windows 7 to dictate in Word 2010.  Yesterday it worked fine: I did a number of training records, added a few new words in the speech dictionary and dictated a part of a document.  No major problems.

Today, however, when I begin to dictate, rather than insert the words directly in my Word document, a secondary window will appear next to the insertion point and text appears here, with small buttons that say "insert" and "Cancel".  It's rather annoying - get the text dictated in the document, I must stop dictating and say "insert."  Is it possible to prevent that from happening?  As far as I know, I don't have any changes to the settings or program options to cause this.  Help!

Thanks for the answer, but now I can't seem to reproduce the problem.  I don't know why what started, but it doesn't seem to be the case more.  Thank you.

When I use the Radio Alphabet to spell speech from Windows, it recognizes my S or Sierra, or P, or Daddy and T or Tango (arg!).  The suggestions are A like Apple, etc.  Is there a different alphabet (Word/radio) that uses Windows Speech?

Also, it comes out, if I made a mistake on the job 6 letter and try to return to the position of the letter 6 all the 'bells' is unleashed.  If I am lucking he (WS) knows that it does not recognize "six".  More often, he gets into a bunch of jibberish that makes fate and speech Windows more work than using, it offers when it works.  How does a return to spellit position 6?

    Kevin King

user, user Windows Speech Version 6.1 (Build 7600) on MS Windows 7 Enterprise 64

If you are in the No. 8 position and he wants to go back to 6, not simply say: "six". This takes back you to the position of number 6.

WSR developers are smart enough to make sure even if you do not know the universal military alphabet, you can use any word starting with a letter that you want to appear.

  • Are there ecercises or lessons that will help me to become familiar with speech recognition commands?

I'm trying to use Wordpad, but I; m having trouble remembering all commands.

I'm trying to use Wordpad, but I; m having trouble remembering all commands.

For Wordpad, you have several options. First of all, you can say: "numbers." This will allow you to pick up any menu or a button on the screen. For example for another way of doing things, I just wrote in Worrdpad, "this is a test message." Then, I said, 'Select message.' He reiterated the message Word. Then I said Format in the menu Format open. Then said policies and then "BOLD" and he has given several choices and I have selectionne.1 and then he said OK. The word message was now "BOLD".

  • How can I get speech recognition to work with text to train my voice, the way which the tutorial done?

The tutorial of speech recognition to train my voice is not large enough for the engine get good recognition of my voice. I want to put in place a couple random pages of text (like a novel, etc.), and that I dictate the words in the program he would coordinate the words I read with the text I was reading from and type what I read to show how he got trained.

Here is the translation of the above using the voice recognition program.

If this tutorial from speech recognition to train my voice is not a large enough for the motor get a good and recognition of my voice.  I want to put in place a couple random pages of text (like a novel) which does not run and I dictate the words in the program that he would coordinate the words I read the text I was reading types of what I read, that the show has done which forms

The foregoing would take a lot of editing, which I already did a large part of. Also if you change the type of microphone that you are using, you could start any training.

I'd be cool if (with headphones), you might get feedback that the program thought you said so that you wouldn't be constantly replay to see if it came out correctly.

  • Speech recognition is not all sounds during installation of the wizard.

Sound recorder works fine and I can record, save and play wav files.  CLS recognition requires all upward before use and the recording meter bar moves I read the sentence of the sample.  After that, I get the error that SR couldn't hear anything.  Help please.

    Hi BTKpickle,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forum.

There are several possible causes of the problem:

    ·         The microphone isn't close to capture your voice. Make sure that the microphone is positioned close enough and you speak directly into it.

    ·         The microphone is cut in. Some microphones have an external control for muting. Make sure that the mute control is disabled.

    ·         The microphone input level is too low. Make sure that the microphone input level is set correctly.

Entry level to adjust the microphone

    1. Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking Start , clicking onto Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking its.

    2. click on the recording tab.

    3. double-click on the microphone you are using speech recognition.

    4. click on the tab levels and then use the slider to adjust the entry level for your microphone.

    ·         The microphone connections are not properly attached. Make sure that microphone cables are intact and unbroken. The connections to the computer can be loose, so unplug the wires and reconnect them by ensuring that they fit.

    ·         A different microphone is selected to be used with speech recognition. If you have more than one microphone installed on your computer, that bad could be selected to be used with speech recognition. Make sure that you use the microphone selected for speech recognition.

Change which microphone is used with speech recognition

    1. Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking Start , clicking onto Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking its.

    2. click on the recording tab.

    3. Select the microphone that you want to use with speech recognition, and then click set as default.

Check the documentation that came with the microphone for additional troubleshooting information.

See if you are able to complete the installation wizard.

  • speech recognition - "this command is not available now"...

I have windows 7 with office 2010 and when I try to say commands, such as select Word or correct the word or ordering another new paragraph I receive a message of this command is not available now... when it will be available? also, when dictating a sentence, if I stop it capitalizes the next word in mid-sentence... How can I fix that? and don't forget that I can't use the exact word or select Word... it took me twice as long to make this letter with speech recognition, of the type just... I read on these forums, I googled to death and please please please do not direct me to another forum... I set up my micro I did the tutorial and additional training, I looked over the options and others and I can not understand how to fix... the exact same question was asked and the person who answered just said set up the microphone, the tutorial and the additional training and as many links to forums... I clicked and traveled all the links and the answer may seem not available as to why my speech recognition accepts not my orders... Please answer and if you don't know, don't send me on a forum's wild-goose chase...

The solution to your problem is to click the speech recognition microphone, first before you open Word.  Once the speech recognition is started, right-click it, click options, select Notepad of dictation and then open Word.  If you do it in this order, everything should work correctly in Word.  Notepad will not come to the top.  The command everything will work directly in Word itself.  If you open Word first before the speech recognition and do not have Notepad - "command not available" will come.  I hope this helps.

  • Words are displayed automatically while dictating to speech recognition

    Original title: speech recognition
My speech recognition works very well except for a really irritating problem. If I fall silent, it will print a series of... of... or if if if. I am very experienced with speech recognition - I used the Dragon for years and have a very good headphones so what goes wrong? If I say 'new line' it will always put a 'from' front the word I say to start the new paragraph. Help please?

    Hello

Are what program you trying to dictate to the breast?

If you use a third party software, then try to use Word or Notepad and check if it makes a difference.

If you already use speech recognition in Word, you can use the speech dictionary to exclude these words (which appear automatically) dictation. You can also
Add words that you frequently use that speech recognition does not recognize.

    To open the speech dictionary:
    a. make sure that speech recognition is running and then say "open Speech Dictionary."
    b. click or say add a new Word or prevent a Word from dictation and then follow the instructions in the speech dictionary Wizard.
