  (2) is the issue limited only with the specific folder?
   
  I suggest you to follow the steps and check if the problem persists.
  (a) open Windows Explorer .
  (b) with the right button on image library , and select Remove.
  (c) click Yes to confirm.
  (d) then right click on libraries in the navigation pane.
  (e) select restore default libraries.
  
  Note: Deleting of a library does not delete the contents of the included folders. However, you need to add or include your folders manually, if necessary.

Example, I continue to put my internet to automaticlly connect when there is no current connection, and I'm going to remove the stuff from my desk top.   This happens with all users of your system or simply with your user account?  Your user profile may be corrupted.  To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  If that is the only available Administrator Profile (you need to be an administrator to fix this), enable the Hidden Administrator Account (HAA) using http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?&lang=en&cr=US&guid=&sloc=en-us&dg=microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords&p=1&tid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055&mid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055.  If you don't remember the password, try nothing because that's probably what you (or seller) did during the installation.  Once that is done, don't forget to disable the HAA to save it in case it is necessary once again and for safety reasons (since people often try to hack into systems using this account).  Do NOT use the HAA as your administrator account because if you lose the only administrator on the system account or it is damaged again, then you're watered.

  1. Open Sound by clicking on the button start , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click sound.

  2. Click the recording tab.

  3. In the recording tab, change the record imput accordingly to your need and how you want to receive all the sounds on your computer. and then click OK.

  Note! You could have: Microphone, Line In, (these are the two standards you will get) + other tax like other microphone or mixing table, in your camera microphone case (or something similar).

  As you wrote in your post that you are using a microphone, mixer on your computer, and you insert your froum output jack console (console mixer or what you use) microphone input slot of your computer, your recording settings must be set to Microphone.

  Hope this will help you through your problem.

  However, I can go to the c drive and find all subfolders contained in documents, music and video.
  Can someone tell me please how to fix this problem.  I'm NOT a computer expert.  This has happened before and I ended up having to do a complete reinstallation on the computer.  I lost a load of things and I don't want to do it again.

  Thanks a lot for your help.  It worked (phew).

  It is probably a real kick in the water, but you have no idea how libraries could become corrupt?  Only my wife and I use the computer and we do nothing more with Microsoft Office and Internet.  I have a few aps, such as Evernote, News360 and Pulse news; everything else is what was on the computer when I got it.  I also have i-tunes.  We do not customize anything.

• It's all gone

  When I started at Thunderbird today, there was nothing. The program asked me if I wanted to set up an e-mail account.

  Some addresses are ther and my calendar (extensions seems to be there - but google contacts says it cannot sync).

  All messages are gone, all accounts are gone, local folder disappeared. All with very important messages.

  When I check my file system, I can see all the files as usual, so they are not gone, just disconnected somehow. What should do? I need to send things today, and addresses are in these emails, so it's not really funny. Maybe I have to stop using the computer to record stuff, anything can happen. Better to use the paper as before.

  Can I fix by setting the computer to yesterday before this happened? The problem is that there are addresses to come during the day, so they would be lost if I reset yesterday morning (which are the only thing that I can use the time).

  Help? I found a site with info, but English is not my mother tongue, and I didn't know what they meant. In many unknown words - and I do not know if it was really the same problem.
