Computer changing state name turns to numbers

I am a machine to States and my case titles are nominated by an enum.  I realized that I had several States doing the same thing, I condensed them and now I have about 8 States with code and 8 States which never get referenced.  I also want to rename the only ive condensed.  The problem is that when I try to change the name, the securities become red.  If I try to change the original enum, it allows all the State titles in their number (1-16).  Ive read something about the typedefs and I know the than mine are not.  Which is the problem or is it something else? Sort easily fix this?  The labview 8.  I don't have my program available, but if it can help that much, I can add it in future.   ~ Matt

To create a typedef from scratch, you can go to file-> New and select the custom control.  Change the type of control control of typedef or strict typedef.

If you use LV2011, you can right click on your constant enum and choose make Typedef.  If not, then change one of your constants (an old you have not changed the elements for) for a control or the indicator (context menu).  Go to the control or the indicator on the front panel, right-click and choose Advanced Options-> Customize.  The enum is open in a new window.  Change the type of control to typedef or strict typedef.  Save and replace the control or the indicator.  Go back to the block diagram and return to a constant.  On each other constant, right-click and choose replace with and select your new typedef.  Make sure that the values do not change.

Once replaced all enums, modify the typedef to the desired values.

    1. If it is the domain controller, you cannot change the name of the computer by selecting network ID and this is normal.
    2. If it is a member of the computer in domain or workgroup, you don't have permission to change the name of the computer.

  • I cannot change the name of the State structure of the State.

I'm reworking a state machine that we use for the tests of parts.  The program name of the report that relate to a certain nutrient and I want to change the name to reflect the new component to test.  The program uses a constant of the enum to select the next State, and the first problem I've had has been changing the labeling of the enum.  Any time I changed the name of the enum that be just back to the old name.  I deleted the enum and tried again but got the same results.  This morning, I said above with a new enum and was able to get the correct labelling but now state machine labelling has converted into a numerical list and does not allow me to go back to state machine labels.  No idea why?

  • my computer won't let me change the name of my images / files

I race 2007 on my PC with windows XP, home when I try to rename my pictures or records what happens with if you go ahead and change the name of the folder/file/photo will be, how to fix it. Thank you

    Hi horseygal,

I think that what is happening because you also delete the file from the file extension.

For example, you have an image file named "image.jpg" and you rename to 'image' ".jpg" is deleted which means that the file will lose its connection with the program, which is designed to open it.

You can hide the file extensions by:

    1. Select start > my computer
    2. click on tools > Folder Options
    3. go to the view tab and check "Hide extension for known file types".
    4. click on OK

  • What exactly happens when you change the name of the computer, and it asks you to restart?

What exactly happens when you change the name of the computer, and it asks you to restart - relating to the registration and identification of network?  Specifically when a computer isn't yet in one area but is still in a working group.  Y at - it show any PC by informing other computers it's name has changed?

Computers into working groups are actively seeking each other, so if you rename a computer, it will not be shown anything. The restart is to erase the name of origin since the system cache, he will think that it's always the old name until the reboot takes place. Work computers is simply 'shake hands' with each other whenever they need to communicate.

Computers that are part of a domain are created a 'computer' account that is assigned a random password that changes every 30 days by default automatically. These computer accounts work almost identical to an Active Directory user account, which means that they are not proactive they simply cached credentials with their permissions to provide if / when requested by heritage in the environment.
Users and computers Active Directory accounts are stored in the NTDS. SAID the database, the backbone of an AD environment. When a computer name changes in one area, it takes the PC restarted simply for the PC. The change of name in Active Directory will replicate throughout the environment based on the settings of replication of this environment.
I'm too simplify all this, but the general concept is there.
  • How can I change the name of my computer that I assigned to Setup?

I just did a system recovery and have an external hard drive to backup and realized I should have renamed the computer reconfigured slightly differently so I have separated on the external hard drive backups.

As it sounds, as there is no involvement of the field...

Use the computer name tab in the System Properties dialog box. To find this tab, use one of the following methods:

    • Click Start, right-click my computer, and then click Properties.
    • Click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
    • Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click performance and Maintenanceand then click System.

Change the name of the computer

To change a computer name, follow these steps (in light of the foregoing...):

    1. Click the computer name tab, and then click change.
    2. Type the new computer name in the computer name dialog box.
    3. Click OK three times, and then restart the computer.
  • How can I change the name of the computer, C; \Documents and Settings\Margie\MyDocuments had to leave "Margie" or rename

Using Windows XP - how to change the name on the computer.  Am not able to remove/change the word "Margie":

    C:\Documents and Settings\MARGIE\My recemment\...

Used Microsoft Help but I am not able to locate where this comes in the settings.   We are on a network (without domain).

    Can you please help.

    Concerning

    Helen

"MARGIE" in "C:\Documents and Settings\MARGIE\... is not a"computer name", it's a user"Profile name".  Once a user is created and its associated profile, this name cannot be changed directly.  The only practical way to change that is to create a new user, copy the data from the user profile of MARGIE in this new user and then delete the profile of MARGIE.  To do this, pretend that the "MARGIE" user profile is corrupted and then follow the instructions in the following article:

"How to recover damaged Windows XP user profile"

If you have the reinstallation CD, format and reinstall XP. It's really the way to go with a used machine.

If I bought a used computer, no matter who previously owned, the first thing I have with it would be to reinstall the operating system itself. You don't know how the computer has been maintained,
which has been improperly installed, what's missing, what virus and
There may be spyware, etc. I would not live with someone of another errors and problems, possibility of kiddy p0rn, etc, and I would not recommend anyone else to do.
If you reinstall Windows properly, you are playing with fire.
